Gem State Dermatology

I’ve been going to Gem State Dermatology and seeing Michael Lane for years now. I have never waited more than 5 min in the waiting area and Michael spends a great amount of time with me in the exam room. He answers all my questions and concerns and has been great. I highly recommend them. I also work an 8 – 5 and have never had any scheduling issues.

I have been to Gem State twice now and I’m just not impressed. I don’t have much options on my insurance plan for dermatologist, but hopefully they will get more on soon because I loathe going here.
Sure, everyone seems to be super friendly but the wait times alone make me cringe. The first time I waiting for 45 min after my appointment to be seen. The second time 55 min. I don’t have that kind of time since they are open working hours, this is taking time out of my work day! I timed how long I actually saw the doctor the second time. 8 min. I waited 55 min for an 8 min appointment. She was in such a rush because she was so behind that I couldn’t even really get the answers I wanted. They just threw a prescription at me and told me to come back in 3 months if it didn’t work. Wow, that’s service for you.
I’m done. I would suggest they seriously evaluate the way they schedule their appointments and hopefully I can find someone new with my limited options.
