I’ve eaten at TJ’s several times and the hamburgers are good and the fries generous. The location is difficult and it’s too bad because most of the time it looks closed and there has never been anyone else either driving through or in the place when I’ve been there. I always drive through, but the last time i went, nobody came to the window, so i went inside & the owner /operator told me he was working in the back & didn’t hear the bell. The hamburgers are basic fresh burgers — no magic sauce, thank goodness. If you’re looking for a straight up hamburger without a lot of junk, this is your place. Although In & Out Burger is just famous for being famous, it’s kinda like that, just a straight up burger. And you fans of In & Out need to get over yourselves. I was pleasantly surprised the 1st time I tried this place and the food has been consistent.

So when my husband and I first moved to Boise he would take off for«little drives», me thinking oh he just wants to get the lay of the land right? Right… well I found out he and fallen in love with another. One day as we were driving along by the mall he asked me if I would like to meet his new love, me being pretty easy going said, why not. He pulls through TJ’s Brugers(you know the little white place behind the Boise Town Square) orders a double and a milk shake, I think ok I’ll show him I can handle this so I order a single and a fry. He then pulls up to the window and a nice older man opens the window and says hello… he(TJ) and my husband end up having a little conversation about the restaurant and how great the food is… Well still being a skeptic I bit into my burger and find that I may be open to him having another love as long as I can join in every once in awhile. The burger was great & fresh(didn’t have a lot of seasonings) and the bun was great too(not a bun eater usually) the fries were fresh and yummy just lightly salted and oh so good. I cannot believe I had seen this place since I was young and had been missing out… what a great place, great service and delicious food.
