My girlfriends brought me here for an afternoon of pampering before my wedding, and I could not have been more pleased! I had a facial and a half hour massage and both were wonderful. Then my friends and I sat out on their back deck and enjoyed the sauna and jacuzzi while sipping wine and munching on the snacks that we brought. The staff was friendly, professional, warm and unintrusive. I would highly recommend.

Brought my best friend for a massage and facial here just last weekend for her birthday. We both actually had massages with Janet and facials with the same person — Mary Anne maybe? I can’t remember her name. She only works on Saturdays. We rated them both very fair. Janet does not do deep tissue and doesn’t really apply much pressure, so if you like a massage will less pressure you’ll enjoy one with her. The facial had no extractions done even though the description said there would be. For a facial, she spent more time rubbing my hands and feet. Don’t get me wrong, that was nice, but not what I was looking for in a facial! The best part was the sauna and hot tub. Although there is only one bathroom downstairs to change and shower in. Products were great though. It is a very laid back place. I was hoping the services would have been better.

Outstanding service! I cannot say enough good things about Essential Therapies. Peter gave me one of the best massages I have ever had. The product line they use for body treatments is fabulous. I can’t wait to go back.

Best spa experience I’ve had so far! Brownie points for being open on the Sunday before Labor Day. The building is on the smaller side but it has such a nice flow to it. It’s tucked away from the main road so when you’re out on the deck you can’t hear cars. When you walk in you can take off your shoes and slip on a pair of sandals. I’m assuming it was the owner who greeted us as well as one of the cutest boxers I have ever seen. The sitting area is well decorated with a beautiful mural. Water and trail mix located on the counter. Lockers are provided to store your things in. One and a half bathrooms on the first floor. Highly recommend using the shower! The soaps smell amazing. Bring your hair brush. I came in for a couples retreat and we showed up an hour early to use the jacuzzi and the sauna. With there only being one massage therapist on that day, we took turns. That worked out well because I liked having the alone time to use the sauna again then take a nice hot shower. The massage was incredible! Plus it was so relaxing hearing the wind blow through the trees from the window. I melted into the massage table. I cannot wait to book another quick get away here and use some of their other services! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience.

I really love this spa. I have been going here since 2010, after being referred by a friend. I love their massages, especially the hot stone massage. They also have a cute patio out back with a Jacuzzi and sauna, where you can relax before or after your massage.

Essentials is perfect! The services are wonderful and the environment is so peaceful that stress relieving benefits begin the moment you arrive. Every treatment is personalized. I especially enjoy reflexology and the outside sauna and hot pool. On your birthday they send customers a bar of long lasting all natural soap!

I will definitely recommend this place to my friends! I have had many facials and the one I received from Shelley was aammazing! They don’t just put a mask on you and walk out of the room for 10 minutes — instead they will give you a massage of your neck, arms etc while your mask sets. I will definietly be back for other services and future facials. I look forward to using the hot tub/sauna!

We come here every time we visit family in Bolton, and it just keeps getting better. The massages are fantastic, the hot tub and sauna outside are great for wintertime(and you are welcome to bring a bottle of champagne with you!), and everyone is very friendly. I totally agree with other reviewers who said that Essential Therapies is a perfect combination of results and pampering. A must-visit if you are in town.

Someone scrape me off the floor please! So relaxed I can barely write this review but I will try. My girlfriend and I are always trying to find a place a little between the two of us(I am in Watertown, she is Holden). Usually we go for a hike but today was too friggin’ cold so she suggested this place. They have an outdoor tub — I know it was cold, but it was so refreshing. Usually I can only get through a half hour, but with today’s cool sunny weather, I stayed in for almost an hour. They have a sauna out there too and we partook of that — oh, bliss! I hear they have facials, massages and this new wet treatment — so I guess I will be coming back for more stuff and zen bliss.

Amazing! I get regular facials here from Michelle and my skin has never looked better. Treatments at Essential Therapies are a perfect combination of results and pampering. I have very sensitive, acne prone, oily, overall angry skin and every time i leave this place, my skin is glowing for days after. No post-facial breakout here… that in itself is a miracle. The place is secluded and serene. I’ve never arrive in enough time to utilize the sauna and jacuzzi but it looks super-fun. Everybody I’ve met here is really friendly and the spa has a welcoming décor while still seeming professional.(Seriously…the place is spotless.) Can’t recommend it enough!

The first time I ever went to Essential Therapies, I knew that would be my spa anytime in the future. The spa is slightly tucked away(still easily accessible, close to the highway) so you don’t hear cars or other outside noise during your treatments. One of the best parts however is the outside jacuzzi and sauna. The place has the cutest enclosed patio out back with a large jacuzzi and sauna where I’ve spent many afternoons with girlfriends or family enjoying the hot tub with a glass of champagne and some snacks. I almost get disappointed when it’s time for my treatment to have to leave the jacuzzi. But then I go in for my massage which always turns out to be fabulous and relaxing. Whoever is giving the massage is always friendly and asks for my preferences during the massage. My sister and best friend have both done the reflexology and they’ve said it’s the best they’ve ever had. Whether we’re having a girls day out, or a family afternoon, we love to go to Essential Therapies. The staff is wonderful as well. Very laid back and go with the flow– they are never intrusive and always available. Other spas I’ve experienced sometimes have an uppity feel to them-the staff is slightly snooby and rude for some reason. I’ve never felt anything like that at ET and it’s one of the main reasons we keep going back. It’s a great place to give a gift to someone or plan a day with your family(we did Father’s day last year, birthdays, graduation gifts etc). I highly recommend giving this spa a try!
