I love me some Tomato Shack Country Store. I make a point to stop here every time I’m in the Boone area, and it’s usually because my mother in law has a giant box of items behind the counter that I’m supposed to pick up for her, but I like it too! They have an awesome selection of jams, jellies, fresh produce, apple ciders, pickled everything(pickles, okra, carrots, you name it). It’s a really cute little store and I encourage you to stop by and check them out!

This place is located right by The Cottages of Boone where my friends live! It’s in an old barn that is surrounded by several abandoned and decaying farmhouses. It is decorated with rusted old soda shop signs on the exterior walls. Unlike most produce markets, they are open daily! It’s rare that you find a produce shack open on a Sunday. They have a variety of local grown veggies and most are priced very generously for the frugal shopper. The cashier(who may have also been the owner) was very friendly and asked what brought me to town. If you’re into organic, homegrown veggies, check this place out!
