Ate here for breakfast. They have a good selection of food at affordable prices. Nothing wowed me, but the service was really nice.

Tried then during harbor fest. Really like the fish chowder. Felt simmered all day and not huge chunks of fish. Was a great meld of flavors.

We had a group of 7 people looking for brunch this morning. One person went in and asked if they were still serving breakfast and they said no. So I went in to ask if they were open for lunch, one of the workers literally yelled rudely at me across the entire restaurant in front of all the patrons saying«11:30!». That is not how you treat people new to the area who want to give locals business. You don’t berate and embarrass yourself and potential customers. On top of it all, it was the morning after my friend’s wedding and we were trying to create nice memories…

Great food, but… The flys need some attention! Otherwise pretty good food. Had crap cake and was good.

Love the fish chowder here. Also ate breakfast here and they have the most gigantic cinnamon buns I’ve ever seen. Wasn’t feeling sweet this morning though, and the cream cheese stuffed blueberry French toast looked AMAZING but I just had to go with the savory and got an egg and cheese sandwich. It was good!

Went for dinner here and then breakfast the next day! For dinner I got the chicken quesadilla which was phenomenal! Fiancée got a bacon bbq cheese burger and I took a few bites and was in heaven! They had a happy hour and the next day fresh brewed coffee. I had scrambled eggs and sausages with wheat toast which was a good call. Fiancée got French toast and a cinnamon roll which was very big and tasty! I would recommend this place to anyone in the area!

This place was a complete surprise, but a happy one! It was dinnertime in Boothbay Harbor, and everywhere we tried to eat had a wait. I was getting to the hangry place, and just wanted SOMETHING, so we popped into Andrews Harborside to see if they had tables available. They did, and as we walked toward ours I started to get slightly apprehensive about our choice. Despite the friendliness of the staff, the décor is straight out of 1985, and the clientele were decidedly elderly. But we were there, and having glanced at the menu outside I knew that they had some food that sounded good, so we stayed for dinner. The food was amazing. It was an absolute shock. We started with calamari, which came covered in some kind of jalepeno butter that had just the right amount of heat, and didn’t make the dish soggy. I had significantly less of the appetizer than I would have liked because I foolishly focused on the dinner rolls first, and my fiancé gobbled up the calamari. For my entrée I got fish and chips with a side of coleslaw, and my fiancé had steak. The fish and chips was amazing. The fries were perfectly chips, salted just the right amount, and the portion was huge. The fish wasn’t beer bettered, but was perfectly light and flakey and full of flavor. The only slight drawback was that the tartar sauce tasted slightly low-fat, but that’s a minor complaint. Despite the fact that this place completely emptied out by 8pm, I would recommend it to anyone. Our server was excellent – friendly and attentive, and I’m still thinking about that food two days later. Look past the dated décor, and think with your stomach!

Ate here for dinner and breakfast — both were excellent! Would recommend the Maine Blueberry Stuffed French Toast, the blueberry pancakes, the crab cakes, and the Lester Haddock and Scallop Combo. Really good fries! Perfect with a 633 or a blueberry mojito.

A wonderful experience after a long day. We had actually started out in another restaurant just down the way, which was a pretty miserable experience. Traditional décor, nothing special. Our server was super nice, knowledgable and efficient. Good, solid menu, nothing adventurous. Seafood chowder was wonderful, lots of chunks of lobster, scallops and shrimp and still solid potato. Perfect consistency, not watery, not cloying. Crab cake appetizer, and they were excellent, great sauce to accompany them. Caesar salad was huge, romaine was nice and crisp, dressing not overpowering. Good pricing, good food, good service, you won’t go wrong.

We have always been very pleased with Andrews Harborside, but lately they seem to have upped their game. As summer residents we have been here dozens of times over the years and tonight was really special as we took several friends with us. Potato skins and onion rings started us off, shared among seven. The best! Then we each had lazy lobster, lobster pie, roast beef, and shrimp lester. Everyone was surprised and very happy that this seemingly simple restaurant is so delicious! Good sides, great desserts and a lovely chatty waitress who was very attentive. This is our new favorite place, beating out many of the upscale places we used to go to. Thank you, Andrews Harborside!

Went here for dinner, we got seated right away… Staff was friendly and knowledgable of the menu… Got the clam chowder which was good not very creamy kinda sweet, and got veggie quesadilla for a meal. It was very tasty only complaint is that the guacamole is not fresh but looked puréed

Service was great and food came out quickly. We ordered the calamari and bang shrimp for an appetizer. They were just okay. For lunch I got the crab cake. That was DELISH!

Expensive and unimpressive considering that there are so many great options around the area. Our shrimp dish was very good, but the steamed lobster was overcooked and came with no sides.

Came here for breakfast. Got the«Footbridge» eggs, bacon, home fries and cinnamon roll and wife got blueberry pancakes. Food was average nothing to write home about. Value was bit high but reasonable. Service however was sub par. Took over 15 mins before we got orders taken. Waitresses never checked on us During the meal. Our drinks were dry entire meal. Did not even bother to ask for the cinnamon roll that never came. Got out of there fast.

Dined at this restaurant June 21st2015. Clam chowder is very soupy and thin, ok taste. Salmon dill soup is ok not a lot of flavor. STUFFEDLOBSTERISFABULOUS. lobster is not over cooked. One of the best. Lobster pie is basically buttery bread over the top of cut lobster pieces and soup. Service was great. Restaurant is clean. Great view with closed on balcony seating.

I had the lobster pie and my wife had the haddock lester and it was superior! The waiter was extraordinary and the entire staff were just absolutely tremendous. The dessert was even better. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Good lunch spot, decent prices and service. Early October, at noon, got a table right away, looks like locals like to come here. The Haddock Lester was the best dish at our table, parmesan, Panko crusted, Haddock with buttery flavor, outrageously good. Crab roll is good and crab cakes were average. Draft beer selection is great if you like New England craft beers, bottle beers are average. We asked for Sam Adams and all they had was Sam Adams light. Service is slow due to 2 servers for the whole place. Don’t know if this is normal or not.

Andrews Harborside has become a favorite spot of mine because their prices are very reasonable when compared to some other places in Boothbay Harbor. On my visit, I had the haddock Lester. So close to the ocean, the seafood in Boothbay Harbor is impeccable. This was a great treatment for a haddock filet. I found it tasted better if I let it sit for a few minutes, to allow all of the flavors to meld. I appreciate the addition of local greens to the meal. They added a nice bit of spice and texture. The rice pilaf was also nice. The customer service was fantastic. For some reason, the kitchen took a very long time to get my plate out. I have no idea why, I was the only person in the dining room that afternoon. I didn’t mind waiting because I wasn’t in a hurry, and the food did arrive hot. Despite that, the server comped one of my beers without me asking. I appreciate their commitment to making things right(even if I didn’t think they did anything wrong). Andrews Harborside is a great place to grab a bite. There is a screened in patio that offers a nice view of the harbor, including the foot bridge.

Have been dining at Andrews or it’s predisessors for close to 30 yrs. Its main claim to fame has always been Jurassic Park size cinnamon rolls and a solid breakfast. Unfortunately over the last 2 – 3 years, the quality of the rolls is starting to slip and become inconsistent. One day fine, the next dry, little cinnamon, cold and on the verge of being stale. On two recent visits, we had one great roll and one horrible one. Unfortunately the rest of the breakfast suffered as well. Eggs were dry and in edible and the french toast was stale and lacked any taste. An iconic boothbay breakfast stop. One star for history, one for great young servers and one for the food. Competition is too fierce in the harbor now with seemingly every hotel & restaurant open for bfast. They need to step up their game
