Not a bad place to stop. I will say many of the restaurants near there are pricey. Go for a slice or a whole pie. There are some better stops for pizza, but this is good. Not awesome, but good and worth the price.

It’s not the greatest pizza I’ve ever had, but by the time I tried this place, I had been in Boothbay Harbor for about three days and was getting very tired of seafood(sorry). We grabbed a couple beers and a couple slices and people-watched from the outdoor seating area, and it was a lovely way to spend part of an afternoon while on vacation. A couple days later, we got a takeaway whole pie to eat in the hotel room, and that thing was huge! It’s a good price for what you get, and they gave us plenty of napkins and paper plates.
Would I ever crave this pizza? No, but I like that it’s an option among all the lobster shacks, and it’s not bad at all, just a little basic. The service was serviceable and friendly, and I went away happy.

We ordered our pizza at 6:40PM and we didn’t get our pizza till 7:30PM…here’s what happened: We came in and it was busy, looked at the menu and decided to get the«2004» pizza. We paid and the guy told us that it’ll be ready in 15 – 20 minutes. We waited till 7:00PM and asked about our pizza, they haven’t even made yet! However, we then realize the«2004» wasn’t a pizza it was actually a sandwich but the guy said no big deal! We can turn it into a pizza! I thought that was really nice of them! They didn’t charge us anything extra. The«2004» sandwich is breaded chicken with marina cheese and provolone cheese. We brought the pizza back to our hotel and it was pretty good!

Pier one has delicious thin crust pizzas that are enormous and the best steak and cheese sub I have ever had. They also have a great variety of slices that are a great quick fix. Make sure to try a bit of HONEY on your next slice, it sounds strange but is worth it for sure. Outside seating and easy access to the pub next door(or ice cream across the way) only adds to the greatness that is Pier One. Best pizza in town and it’s not even close.

Pizza is prepared excellent. Great combo of hand tossed dough, sauce and cheese. Check them out if your in the area

Pier1 is has good almost dare I say very good pizza. The calzones are good too. Is it the best… well no but this is not NYC or Chicago. But for the Boothbay Harbor region it is the best that I have had. So when we want pizza in the summer that’s where we go and everyone is happy. Some do say the sauce is a bit spicy. I agree. Not overly spicy but somewhat.

This place is good for late night, drunk food. Or cheap slice for the kids during the day. Just average pizza, service is average, nothing great just so-so. It will get you full. There is a bar area separated from the dining area by an open door and window. It was filled with locals and was loud and lively so if you are looking for a cheap spot to drink some beers, Good on ya.

This used to be a great place in BBH. When we came back this year I found a dirty restaurant with rude people. That turned out to be a good thing since I didn’t waste my money there. Too bad — this used to be a great place.

The pizza is ok and the salads are the same. The service can be super fast or s l o w but usually they are friendly. Not my favorite stop in Boothbay but it is inexpensive and it is convenient when we need a quick bite.

Mediocre pizza but convenient for a quick slice before getting on a boat. 3 slices and a bag of chips for under $ 9 is hard to beat so I have nothing to complain about, but wouldn’t consider this place a «must» by any means.

Awful pizza!!! It took over an hour before we got the pizza and it really was the worst pizza I ever ate. I thought the wait might be worth it, but don’t get fooled. There is a much better place called House of Pizza. This pizza was one of the worst I’ve had. The service was rude and I think they survive on tourists who don’t know any better.

I have never met such rude people in my life. My husband and I were in Boothbay Harbor for a whale watching excursion. We got off the boat right at the Pier and decided to stop into the Pier 1 bar(there is also an awning out front advertising ‘Fenway Bar’) for a drink. The bar was a little dirty and grungy but we just wanted to get out of the sun, drink something cool, and relax. We sat down and ordered a couple of beers and began chatting with another tourist couple next to us. The topic veered to good local lobster shacks. I said I had heard of one somewhere near the town of Wiccasset. Unfortunately, not being local, I didn’t quite know how to pronounce the name). Suddenly this man appears from behind the bar(owner? bartender? who knows?) and begins ranting at me about lobster shacks. First he makes fun of my inability to pronounce Wiccasset correctely. Then he starts yelling at me about someplace called Reds that everyone thinks is a good lobster shack but isn’t. He keeps referencing some guide book(Dennison’s?) that everyone uses, and no one should use. This was not a gentle conversation. This guy was ranting and yelling. I was taken aback. I tried to say«I don’t know what you are talking about.» I have never heard of Reds or a guide book named Dennisons. But, I couldn’t get a word in edgewise. My husband finally spoke up and said«Hey, man, we don’t know what you are talking about.» He ignored us and kept ranting. I have never felt so uncomfortable in my life. I drank my beer more quickly than I ever had in my life, nudged my husband, paid and left. This guy was acting like he wanted to get into a fight with someone and that is not the type of thing my husband and I do. As we were walking out of the bar, the guy continued to mock us by reiterating the correct way to pronounce the name of the town Wiccasset. Don’t bother with this bar. It is a dive with rude staff.

The 2 stars is for the pizza itself but the little bar area could be more if I spent more time in there. the pizza isnt really that good but for Maine and some of the other pies I saw in different places this isnt that horrible. It will fit your pizza need which most need at least once in a week. Also had kid’s with us so an easy meal with children. Kids stayed on one side while we sat on the other side knocking back 2.00 wicked teas. they where trying to get rid of them. Would like to go back and eat pizza outside on the bar side. Only if i have the pizza urge.

Great snack food! THE place to grab a late night slice and a beer. Its family/large group friendly. It’s not the best in Maine, but these other low star reviews are quite harsh. I’ve been here more than a few times and I enjoy it. Better than Pizza Hut and Pier One has a great location. Don’t come here if you’re a stuck up snob, or are expecting a gourmet experience. Bad attitude not welcome.

Well we ordered two large for pickup, and they«forgot» to make them. We were told to come back but we could pay for them now. Then they proceeded to overcharge us by $ 20.00 «0h sorry». We come back, get our pizza come home and the bottom of the pizza is burnt on both pizzas. Really burnt, not just a little. They were not busy either time we were there. In fact employees were lounging. We are locals who all work in restaurants ourselves. Not happy at all. Felt like we were bothering them with our business. Really a shame because we have had the pizza in the past and it was decent. My opinion is that if there was someone there who cared like the owner or responsible manager this would never of happened and we would still be customers.

I think Ellio’s pizza is on par with this place. I do have to agree with Emily that it’s good for a late night post-bar stop, but besides those hours, I wouldn’t stop in for a slice. The pizza slice was dry and seemed like there wasn’t any sause. The cheese was burnt and was far from cheesy. Again, if you’re out in Boothbay after 12 am and need something to absorb the alcohol. A cardboard slice here would do the trick.

Not bad pizza, and it is great especially at 11pm — 1 am when you are leaving the bars in Boothbay and it’s the only food place open! They also have subs, chicken wings, etc. and their own pub(Pier 1 Pub) located next door.
