Went to Dubh Linn Square last night for the first time ever to sing some karaōke with DJ Superman Steve. Oh my gosh — it was SO fun. The small crowd was SO into it — they clapped and sang along for everyone — good or bad. The customers AND staff welcomed us with open arms and chatted with us like we’d been coming there forever. The best part is that they have a «happy hour» from 10pm-12am(Sun-Thurs) that includes $ 2, $ 3 or $ 4 drinks, plus a $ 5 bar menu! We tasted some $ 5 foods(mozzarella bites & buffalo chicken fingers) and they were DELISH. If you’re looking for a fun mid-week break — THISISIT!!!

Tip: sit on the patio if the weather is nice. It’s a great space for a luncheon or work lunch. I’ve been to this establishment several times. The food is good and they have the required drinks to call themselves an Irish bar. The Chicken Boxty is quite delicious. However tonight I ordered the Pork Medallions(special) and it was dry and dull. Still it was a nice meal but I had wished I ordered the Boxty. Prices are reasonable and the staff is a lot of fun. My only big gripe about this place is that it doesn’t have local /community feel that a lot of Irish bars have.

June 2015: CLOSED … AGAIN :( Just when things were looking up, the menu was full and the food was great. My favorite place is once again closed. So Sad. March 2015: THEY’RECOMINGBACKUPTHECHARTS! In March 2015 Dubh Linn Square reopened with its original owners and a new partner. I am so happy to say that the atmosphere and quality is coming back to where they started — fantastic! We had burgers, corned beef, curry fries and more from their temporary menu. Everything was tip top quality! Magners is back on tap too!!! The full menu, include boxty’s will be back in a couple more weeks. So happy to have this place back!!!

Great Irish pub! They have unique beers on tap and their food is delicious. They also had a live Irish band playing, which they have every other Sunday. The meatball appetizer is very popular and was great. The meatballs were enormous and fresh. They have specials each and every day. The service was impeccable as well. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!

Exper Irish Pub atmosphere. We talked with partner Kevin, whose parents were born in Ireland, of his dream to own an Irish pub that«did it right.» My husband and I saw their ad about re-opening at a location that previously had been an Irish pub that had closed. Every year, to honor my Irish lineage, around St. Patty’s day, we seek our annual corned beef and cabbage dinner; it was delicious. Wealso got much more: the traditional Irish music, songs. the fiddlers and guitarist accompanying a vocalist in his rendition of songs of Ireland; the crowd singing along, the wearing of the green in every possible way Patron/dancers perform the Highland Fling, the customers join in as they enjoy the fun, friendly wait-staff(thank you, Brianne) and relaxed family atmosphere. A new favorite spot; food was great… Located on Route 130 N, across from Mastoris.

This place has a great authentic Irish pub vibe. They have bands on Fridays and an Irish session on Sundays. The food is great and plenty of beer on tap. If you have a party, you can reserve the second floor. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Stop by and check it out!

Attended the relaunch yesterday. The Pub is better than ever. New menu items. Try the Calamari Thai appetizer. The fish and chips are still great. The desserts were amazing.

Great to have this local Irish pub in the area. Ordered the dubh burger with a fried egg and it was yummy. Love that they have malt vinegar for my fries!

I have an affinity for this place since it opened a few years ago. I had a great first experience and it kept me coming back. That first time we came it was busy(fun busy) not(this stinks busy), the Irish music was playing and they had many craft beers on tap which really got me excited. The Bar tender was from Ireland and it just added to the authenticity of the place for us. The food came out and was unique to any place around and tasted awesome. The staff were instrumental at making this place what it was. We fell in love with«Dublin Square» so much that my wife and I rented the whole upstairs for our wedding in 2011 and it was awesome. The place has had it’s ups and downs over the years with staff changes, food/chef changes and even beer selections/offerings… HOWEVER, I think it may be coming full circle back to it’s roots on food quality, service, beer selection, and atmosphere. I suggest trying here first before all of the«Chain Irish Pubs» or «dive bar Irish Pubs»… Sunday Afternoons would be the best time to experience this place with the live Irish music sets being played. I hear the place may be rebranding itself to the«Dub Pub» so we will see how this new chapter goes.

Won’t go here again. Ordered the beef stew which came with one piece of beef. Who knew beef was singular. My date’s turkey burger barely had any bread. And, she did not feel well that night. And, it’s LOUD — at least the bar was.

Solid 3.5. My wife and I come here regularly for large party gatherings, and have no real complaints. The service is good. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive, even for large parties. The area is usually prepared and they have enough people working the large party that it doesn’t feel like you’re waiting long for a beer and/or food. They don’t do anything weird with splitting the checks like some places do, they just split them like you ask. I very much enjoyed the Salmon Sandwich but loved the Portobello Burger and fries even more. However, I have tried the Beef Stew, Fish and Chips and and Bangers and Mash and haven’t enjoyed them as much as the sandwiches/burgers. You’ll have a solid experience if you stay away from their signature Irish entrees and stick with the sandwiches and burgers.

Ever since we moved into the area a year ago, this has been our favorite place to come and have a casual dinner out. We always come for the 3 – 7 happy hour, which is every day of the week. Someone’s they even have live bagpipes! The bar itself is all wood with a great collection of benches and chairs in a homey, local pub way. And the food. I could go on for days. My husband loves the burgers, which used to be included on the Thursday specials before the menu changed. The sweet potato fries are also great. I love the nachos with chicken, and the salmon boxty. The wings are super good(and a great bargain during happy hour) and they have Magners(Irish cider) on tap! I could go on and on, but you get the idea. It’s great food for a great price with fantastic atmosphere.

First things first, I want to say that my family and I went to Dubh Linn Square on St. Patrick’s Day weekend. I liked the place itself, as in the wood bar and other architecture. It’s the kind of place you think of when you want an Irish Pub… though a bit watered down and«family oriented». I was also surprised it wasn’t more crowded. It was definitely busy, but still plenty of space to move around. Though I will say we were there from like 3pm to 5pm and it could’ve gotten busier later in the night and it seemed like the staff was preparing for that. Unfortunately, the food was bad. I can’t say it any nicer than that… it was just bad. Among the four of us we had Corned Beef and Cabbage, a Burger, and a Reuben. The Reuben seemed to be the best choice. The carrots were flavorless and a bit undercooked for my liking. I seriously didn’t even taste salt. The mashed potatoes very well may have been instant… if not they may have been shaped ahead of time and frozen till needed. They just tasted grainy and unappetizing. The corned beef was like semi-shredded deli meat. I knew it was this style ahead of time thanks to the reviews on here… but that doesn’t change the fact it’s not really what most people are hoping for when it comes to corned beef. But, preparation aside, it just wasn’t very good. Not that flavorful, dry, very forgettable. Service was sparse, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt seeing as it was busy. I was very disappointed to find out they had a limited menu due to the holiday. The worst part was that MOST of their normal Irish Specialties weren’t being offered. It didn’t make sense to me, they left on chicken wings and burgers… but removed a bunch of «holiday appropriate» dishes. They were also serving food on paper plates with per-packaged plastic silverware. Pretty much the cheapest silverware you can possibly get. I understand why… but seeing as it wasn’t even that busy yet it just felt lazy. I’d like to think Dubh Linn Square is a little better on their normal business days… but definitely skip them around St. Patrick’s Day.

I seriously hope someone in management reads this as our experience today sucked! We have been here several times since this place opened and it has slowly gone downhill but today was the pits! First, there was no one at the door to greet us when we arrived nor seat us. As we walked toward the back, a waitress asked us how many and we said two so she went and got us menus. Keep in mind, we had yet to sit down. We picked a table and she gave us the drink menu and two food menus. She asked if we knew what we wanted to drink. My wife asked for an unsweetened iced tea and I asked for a Diet Coke. She brought the drinks and left. A few minutes later, she came back and my wife asked for an artificial sweetener. Took 10 minutes to get that and then she took our order. At least 30 minutes went by and some guy came out and asked what we ordered as something was wrong. My wife thinks he said something about the printer but is was so loud, we could not hear. So she asked if our food was prepared and he said he would put in the order then. Why did it take that long for someone to realize that something was wrong and fix it. We decided that enough was enough so we told him forget it and we left. He made no attempt to console us nor apologize. Screw them. They were leaving anyhow. Well guess what… you lost a pretty good customer and we will make sure we tell others.

I can’t review it to well because we only had appetizers but this is a fun place. Now my husband didn’t like it because it was noisy, crowded and had a live band but I liked it. The servers were nice, liked the atmosphere and décor. As for the food I got nachos which were ok. Not the best but ok. There was other things I would like to try. Ill have to go back.

Some co-workers and I shot in here for a quick lunch and everyone left loving their choices. I thought my cobb salad was average but it wasn’t bad. While we didn’t drink, this is definitely a place to grab a few pints. I’m not too familiar with the area, yet, but they have what looks like a decent craft and Irish beer selection. How long until St. Patty’s Day again?

Went for lunch on a Friday. Not many customers. Service was prompt. Ordered the Irish stew(which came with fresh green beans), the chicken BLT(which came with an arugula pesto and awesome french fries in a wire basket) and the fish and chips(which came with mayo-based coleslaw). Chips were soggy and not very good. This is odd to me because the french fries that came with the chicken were so delish. Coleslaw came with onions in it = party foul. Good beer and whiskey selection. Specials available later in the day.

Stopped by here tonight, and it wasn’t terrible, but it could definitely have been better. it was VERYLOUD, despite what the reviews say, my party couldn’t hear each other speaking, and we’re not the quietest people. Service — The waitress didn’t take too long to get to our table, but long enough that we already knew what we wanted and she was caught off guard. Our table wasn’t set when we sat down, and we eventually had to ask for silverware(after our food came out). We also had to ask for drink refills, she wasn’t paying overmuch attention to our table. Food — My friends had eaten here before. One of them got the fish and chips, which he had enjoyed previously, but he stated that if he’d gotten served the fish and chips he got tonight he wouldn’t have ordered it again. So consistency might be an issue if you’re looking at fish & chips. Last time he ordered it he loved it. My other friend got the bangers and mash, which was quite good, and we’d recommend. I ordered the corned beef and cabbage. I would not recommend it. The corned beef is served shredded, which is not something I’d experienced before, and I didn’t enjoy. My meal was also drenched in the mustard sauce, if you’re going to order it I’d recommend you get the sauce on the side, if you’re even the slightest bit wary of it. If you are used to and enjoy shredded corned beef and you want to OD on mustard you’d like their plate. Other — Their beer menu was out of date, I was disappointed to find they no longer serve Blue Moon(it’s still on their menu). The waitress recommended Hoegaarden as a substitute. I took a risk and tried it, but found it not to my tastes. In addition, their happy hour and events section is confusing. Happy hour is from 4 – 7 and encompasses the specials listed under happy hour(they’re the same every night). The nightly specials(like $ 3 pints on Tuesday) are NOT applicable during happy hour. I’d misunderstood and thought they were the happy hour variations for the night. I probably wouldn’t come back here. While I’d enjoy the bangers and mash, the service didn’t wow me, it was loud, and I felt my meal was a bit overpriced for the serving.

I stopped in here on Monday for lunch with two coworkers. It was slow and the employees were friendly. You just have to love the older Irish guy who I am assuming is the owner. He is super cheerful and really makes you feel welcome to the point where you almost want to give the guy a hug. I ordered the crab cake sandwich with a side salad. There was a lot of actual crab in my sandwich and it was topped with onions and a siracha cole slaw that was a little spicy and very tasty and served on a huge toasted bun. I wish I would have ordered french fries like a coworker did. These french fries are the real deal and you can actually see and taste the potatoes. Anyone who appreciates big thick fries will love these fries. The servings are all on the larger side. My other coworker got the Cobb Salad. I was thinking that this isn’t the place to order a salad but I was wrong– the salad was huge and filled with too many ingredients for me to name and looked awesome. We all cleared our plates and left very full after a good lunch. Irish pubs are usually not my first choice when it comes to dining out but this is one of the best Irish pubs I have been to.
