Great place! It was our first time, but the guy manning the door(host?) and waitress were wonderful. I find too often that pubs/bars make newbies feel they’re intruding, which is terrible business. Our waitress told us it was happy hour and helped me through the drink menu. I ordered off the specials menu and my sandwich came with soup. The Potato Leek is basically the best baked potato soup I ever had. Thumbs up to the host and the waitress checking on us.

Beer line up is fantastic, the bartenders are personable and friendly. All in all its a great neighborhood bar with good food. Definitely worth stopping in.

This is probably a good place to get some drinking done. Daily specials, fair tap selection and cheap food prices might translate to a fun place to hang out while watching a game or unwinding after work. Judging by the waitressing staff, hetero males seem to be the target demographic for this«pub». My uncle invited me here to help him use a gift card he received as a Xmas present(and if that gift giver is reading this, bah humbug to you) I heard about this place and kind of knew what to expect, sadly my uncle was hoping for a little more. Sadder still is that his expectations are really pretty low. He decided on a roast pork sandwich and got some type of fries for a small up charge. The fries were the best part of his lunch, the sandwich had a strong vinegar flavor, possibly due to the jarred roasted red peppers that came with it. I tasted it and would probably have sent it back. He’s big on leftovers but decided that the sandwich was better left there, he did take the fries with him. I ordered shepherd’s pie. Mine came with a choice of soup, I opted for Irish onion, which is really just sub par French onion. It must have been created with copious beef bouillon, very salty and fake beefy flavored. My lunch entrée was less salty, but not any better. Unseasoned ground beef on the bottom, some frozen veggies mixed in, and topped with mashed potatoes and some cheddar. If the cook could construct a sauce to go with this, it would be better. The best part about my lunch was the Magner’s cider. I’m not trying to ream this place, in the right company I might go back for another cider. My advice to them would be to thin out the menu and focus on a few items that a chef would be proud of. A little interior sprucing up might be called for as well, if memory serves these are the same booths from the previous Italian restaurant. My final verdict, come here for a drink before dining elsewhere.

Went for a large Christmas Party with some friends and the Server was out of this world! She really handled the group well. I wanted to try some beers, and when I said I didn’t know them she offered me little samples for me to make my choice. The nachos were EH, but the brews and friends would make me come back in a heart beat.

I’ve only been here once but I’ll definitely be returning. For starters, the layout of the bar is so cool, there’s a dining area in the front with booths and a bar section, but then the bar loops around to a back room with standing space. There’s even a patio out back for when the weather’s nice. The only thing I could think to add would be a pool table in the back room, which would be perfect. Another reason this place gets 5 stars is because they do awesome events! The night we went, there was a live singer. They also do giveaways for concerts and Flyers tickets, and other awesome things. The food was great when I went, which is why I’m giving 5 stars. However, my friend did say that the last time she’d been there her food was cold. I had the reuben burger because I’d never heard of it before, and honestly didn’t expect much, but it was AWESOME! Also our server was very friendly.

First time here and experienced how awful the ownership acted towards staff and clientele. He was rude and inappropriate as he entered the establishment towards closing time. It left my local clients and business a bad taste, no longer will we visit this establishment in the future for business parties or events.

Kilarneys is a good olé Irish pub with all the necessities for an unfancy night out with friends. Decent selection of brews for a girl who likes her dark beers. Standard bar food but if you are looking for a burger, a beer, and a livelier than home setting, you won’t be disappointed at this place.

First time I went it wasn’t that great. Food was cold, service was slow, and I wasn’t sure I would come back. However I came back tonight as the people I was with wanted to go… And it was fantastic! Food was great. Guess it’s a hit or miss thing, but it was fantastic tonight! 3.5 stars bc even though the food was great, the service was still very slow(and the place was very empty!)

We have been enjoying Killarney’s for over 5 years and we love it. We live 35 miles away and whenever we in the area we stop in. To call the food«bar food» is an insult! Their menu is full of restaurant quality selections at bar prices. The service is great and always under the careful watch of the ever present owners. We recently attended their annual clam bake and the seafood stew, steamed clams and grilled shrimp were all worthy of the finest seafood restaurants. Highly recommend giving it a try…

I just love it here. They recently had an XTU ticket run at Killarney’s; basically a large raffle for concert tickets that close to 300 people came to. Despite the crowd, everyone was still friendly and consistent with checking on our table. And the food, of course, was awesome. I went with another burger and potato leek soup this time.

I usually go with boyfriend who happens to be white and his buddies who are white and we’ll known in this location. I like the environment the drinks are okay. I had friends come over from New York on Saint Patrick’s day and we wanted to hang out in an Irish bar that was live. I suggested this place. just to let you guys know we were all ethnic and as soon as we walked in the short security we asked us «where are you guys coming from? A Spanish bar in trenton? And how come you guys have New York IDs? What brings you here?» Looked at each ID for at least 3 min each questioning and quizzing us!!! I was shocked and embarrassed… that this short bald headed security guy made us feel unwanted there because of our ethnicity??? We didn’t want to make a scene because we are better than that. we don’t entertain ignorance… we went in we had one beer and left within 5 min. it was the most uncomfortable being treated that way… I had to apologize over and over to my friends. thats was the last time I was there. and I’m pretty sure owners wouldn’t care. but it’s a shame you guys are not as welcoming as I thought..

Always phenomenal service when I go here. The back patio is great in the warm weather! Awesome drink specials and a decent selection of beers on tap and by the bottle. Food is not just«bar food» but actual entrees.

In the middle of a Saturday afternoon Killarney’s Publick House had a small crowd, 90% male. Sure not the place to go if you were looking for a softer vibe. Yet, Natalie working the bar was quite a sight, and made everyone feel at home. She asked my name, and used it each time we interacted as I sat at the bar for lunch and drink. A pint of Magner’s Hard Cider and a medium Smokehouse Burger(Gouda, BBQ Sauce, Bacon) with a bowl of Irish Potato Leek Soup, was a hardy lunch that kept hunger away until breakfast, and came is at $ 16. The Magner’s was crisp and thirst quenching. The Soup was cream based and tasted like well blended mashed potatoes. The Burger was big, exactly medium, with good accessories, but the basic beef was not very tasty when undressed. The house made chips packed a spicy punch. Still, a good place if you want to watch sports with the guys around a well stocked bar, hot barkeep, and better than average bar grub.

This place has a genuine pub atmosphere and a large menu that I would imagine caters to most diners. They even have small portioned options for those with mini appetites. From hearty shepherd’s pie to healthy deli sandwiches, the food is delicious at a good value. I didn’t drink during this trip, but I see multiple taps and lots of other options.

The bar is your standard, I’m a drinker and motivated by alcohol choices. Typical NJ atmosphere and attitude in here. A lot of sloppy girls and their bratty kids running around the dinning area. I had to keep grabbing my beer because these people had their kids pushing each other right in front of our table. I’m only so fast it was a matter of time before the parents were about to buy me another beer and get a slap in the face. Decided to move outside which is much better– people were more relaxed and not so many bratty rug rats screaming. The food was alright standard jersey bar food. Our waitress was great, but the manager was a real A-hole to the staff right in front of me and my buddy. Drinks were good and strong. Go here to get your drink on after chow time ends for most people around 9 or 10. Good place to get hammered and eat some wings thats about it.

My first time at Killarney’s was on a Thursday night around dinner time. When I first arrived at 6:30PM it was fairly empty, but by the time I left around 8:30PM, the place was packed and the music was pumping. Killarney’s was huge, and the outdoor seating looked awesome– they even had a live band out there. I ended up sitting near the bar area at one of the high top tables. The tables actually have hooks under them so you have somewhere to put your bag– I thought that was an awesome touch. I ordered a regular cheese burger– it was delicious. The burgers come standard with chips, but you can upgrade to fries. I would suggest keeping the chips because they were awesome. The service was outstanding. The waitress was very attentive, we never had an empty drink. Even the manager came and checked on our table a few times. All of the staff was beyond friendly.

i consider killarneys a home-away-from-home… i’ve frequented the bar countless times over the last few years– various times of day, days of the week, etc. always pleasant bouncers and bartenders. the owners make everyone feel welcome, and it’s hard to avoid becoming a regular. the drinks are good and fairly priced– always something new to try, too. this is one of the few bars i’ve come across that has spicebox(my fave)! there are daily food, beer and shot specials, and there are a variety of beers on tap. food-wise, it’s typical irish-pub-bar-food… but it’s consistently yummy. the burgers are spot-on(they’ve even won the burger mania cookoff a few times), and the cajun chicken nachos are amazing. the wings are good too, with a variety of sauces you can play around with. my other fave is the steak qusadilla– never a disappointment. i also love that they’ve added edamame to the appetizer menu– finally a healthier alternative to snack on! kills is a great place to hang out and watch a game(or 3)… they have a bunch of tvs, and beer towers at great prices. it tends to get crowded on thurs, fri, and sat nights– live music and beverage promos too. weekends in the summer tend to be a little slower because so many people go down the shore… but it’s hands down the best hang-out bar in the hamilton area. overall, killarneys wouldn’t be my number one pick for a classy dinner date or fine dining experience but if i’m needing a night to hang out with some good people, some good drinks, and delicious bar food, then you can find me there. ps– they’ve recently built and opened an outdoor seating area out back!
