Great pizza. I got the homemade lamb sausage pizza. It was spectacular! Very nice trendy décor and nice servers. Great new spot for Borrego.

Even though we had a huge party(15), Kendall’s was accommodating and welcoming. All the orders were delicious(and correct!) the service was very attentive as well. Pleasantly surprised by this little place!

Great staff and great good. We were hungry after we packed up camp. We tried to find somewhere where our pups could sit outside with us since it was already getting warm. Kendall’s was working on their outside patio at the time but they seated us by the window and we tied up out pups right outside. The staff was very accommodating. We will definitely return when we are in the area.

Ate breakfast here for three days straight. Why doesn’t Kendall’s improve their coffee? It tastes watered-down. I had asked for white toast with my breakfast. I get wheat toast. The café was practically empty so the café was not very busy. I detected a little attitude from our waitress. My friend is a regular here. Maybe next time I’m in town, I’ll suggest to him another place to eat breakfast?

Great little café. The service was super friendly, the food fantastic(I highly recommend the Machaca for breakfast), and the prices reasonable. What’s more, they put up with our party of eight(which included 3 kids)! Borrego was great, and we’ll be back here!

We eat at Kendall’s every time we camp at Anza Borrego which is twice a year, and have been doing this since 2007. We ate there 3 times in Apr. 2016. Each time the waitresses were prompt, but it’s like it costs money for them to smile. But it’s about the only game in town for early breakfast. Recommend blueberry pancake or plain pancake, huge, the size of the plate. French toast is good. Had the chile relleno for dinner, ok. Better mex food at Los Gilbertos which is not a sitdown place with wait help. Meatloaf dinner ok as well, veggies were not out of the can and mashed potatoes not instant.

We had a great breakfast here today and sat at the counter, the service and food were spot on. Blueberry pancakes were perfect. I may be the most difficult person to please but Kendall’s did it.

Best breakfast in Anza B. The pancakes were real, the bacon was crispy, and the eggs had never ending yolks. Don’t forget about the crispy hash browns! Came in later that day for a turkey club and the French fries were perfect.

Perfect diner breakfast. Each item was executed with excellence. Even the oatmeal was real. With a side of brown sugar, milk, and raisins. Poached egg easy was perfect. Juices were very good. Large pancake was golden. Bacon was hearty. Service was slow. But it is a small town with few options. Even had orange marmalade in the jam tray. A full stack. Extra touch and a usual sign for me that a diner is working to go the distance.

Based on my limited experience so far, no one should come to Borrego Springs for the food. The food at this café is plain and bland, with no recommendable qualities. The tomato juice tasted like it had been sitting in a tin can for decades. They also do not properly represent the choices on the menu; if you are desperate enough to eat here, then confirm with your server exactly what you are getting. I would not eat here again, I would rather just have a banana or a Clif bar.

Yum. I love the French toast. The biscuits and gravy are just like a grandma would make.

I’ve only been here for breakfast, and they have amazing omelets. Great biscuits too. And they never fall short of offering to refill your coffee cup. When I go camping in Anza and I need a full breakfast, this place is it.

Very friendly & helpful staff — good food for the price! The gravy was delish. I felt the bacon could of had more flavor & real butter on my English muffin would have been wonderful! But, ag

This is a must-visit every time we go to Borrego Springs. Simple and straightforward breakfast diner. Get the #1, which is a one-egg breakfast with pancakes. Do yourself a favor and upgrade to the blueberry pancakes, which are the very best I’ve had anywhere. The staff is great and the people watching is always fun as you see the campers drag themselves in from the desert for a taste of civilization. And in response to those who say the place lacks ambiance, I have to say THATISTHEAMBIANCE.

Good diner breakfast. Huge portions. I had the ham and egg scramble with blueberry pancakes. I like that I had to add salt and pepper to my taste. The pancakes were packed with blueberries. Our waitress came over several Times to refill our coffee. That was unexpected. It seems like nowadays you have to track your waitress down so this was a pleasant experience. Decent diner style breakfast. The restaurant is in the very back of The Mall on Palm Canyon. Bathrooms are outside. I’d come back here again.

This place smells so good and looks so warm when you enter and, frankly, the food is quite good here, but I doubt I will ever return. We had breakfast here twice and dinner once. The dinner was great, we were treated well by an attentive, friendly woman and as I already said, the food was good… even the fish and chips in a desert café. The fries were excellent, the fish very lighly breaded and moist and flavorful. But at both breakfasts we were treated borderline rudely both times by the same person. In both cases this person acted as if we were intruders, never showing the slightest courtesy. In one case, they neglec ted to give my wife a menu and then she acted put out when she wasn’t ready to order. She didn’t think it necessary to ever check if food was ok, or if we wanted refills etc. Not once. My 4 year old grandson was enteetaining himself by playing with a couple… two…paper…PAPER…napkins and an employee swooped in and very abruptly and without a word, snatched them away. If you are reading this, Kendall, I will be sending you a check for 5 dollars to cover the costs. Don’t know if we were viewed as outsiders or if we were viewed as old or viewed as too white. In any case, shame on them.

Friendly staff, cute little retro café, good breakfast, and price was fair, the only reason i took a star is because i had an avocado omelette and the avocado didnt look fresh… But we would definitely be back :)

If you’re not a stickler for ambiance, this strip-mall café has some good breakfast food. The ranchero sauce on my Spanish omelette was house-made and DELICIOUS. Boyfriend had corned beef hash and liked it, although he said he was pretty sure it came from a can and was reminiscing on some other hole in the wall on our drive back from SF that had the BEST corned beef hash. IDK. I didn’t Unilocal it, so did it really happen? The coffee cups are small but they were quick with the refills. Solid hash browns! Note: They only serve b-fast until 11:30am!

Located on the backside of The Borrego Springs Mall this Great Little Diner has a charm of its own. Serving a nice selection of dishes to choose from including everything from breakfast to steak dinners and everything in between. Friday nights are all-you-can-eat fried fish dinners that include all you can eat fried fish, Choice of french fries or mashed potatoes, coleslaw, soup or salad and a piece of cornbread. Love the clam chowder and coleslaw. The Clam Chowder is one of my favorites. The fish is lightly breaded and cooked to perfection. The pieces are a little small but they keep them coming as long as you can continue to eat. The french fries and the mashed potatoes are both pretty good also. You won’t leave hungry for $ 11.50 not a bad price considering you’re in a resort town in the desert so it’s well worth the price. My wife and I have had breakfast here many times also and everything is very good for breakfast to. Great blueberry pancakes, eggs and everything in between. Their Burgers are also probably the best burgers in town. So if you’re hanging around in this resort town of Borrego Springs give this place a try. Enjoy PS At the end of your meal you also get a free cup of pudding. Your choice of flavors.

Straight up good ‘ol fashion greasy spoon. Nothing all that special about this place. The Big Breakfast delivered exactly what I was looking for today. Although I will say the pancakes weren’t my favorite. If you’re in a short order breakfast mood this place is for you.
