this place is basically in the middle of nowhere, so you’d think the gal at the front desk would be a little more excited about my arrival instead of super rude. i was literally the only person staying here. I travel often and I’m not expecting to be staying at some five star hotel… I understand it’s a small lodge in a small, almost non-existent town. but this was worse than I’ve experienced anywhere else. when I got to the tiny room, it was filled with the most rickety particle board, furniture. everything was stained. parts of the walls were peeling off. two tiny towels provided. some weird permanent black marks on the toilet. a radiant heater that never fully warmed the room.(I had to bring extra blankets in from my car). when I called to inquire about the room before I arrived, I asked if the wifi worked well because I had a lot of work to do. she said yes, but it never connected once. it was $ 89 after tax and that seems insane. shouldn’t have been more than $ 30. avoid this place and go stay in concord 15 minutes south. this is gross.
