I was referred to Azarue’s by a friend. When booking my appointment via telephone, I was greeted by a kind woman named Deb, who offered great service over the phone. I reviewed the website, which showcased dresses that really appealed to me. My MOH and I were the first people to walk into the door. The staff was ready to work, and they all greeted us warmly. We go to the bridal salon, and I was immediately overwhelmed with the setup: 3 platforms right on top of each other, aka my worst nightmare. I felt like the other two appointments were listening to every word I was saying — even though they were not trying to listen. My consultant was okay the first time I met her. She asked me if I had ideas of dresses, and I showed her my first dress(a Pinterest find). She told me that a dress like that would cost $ 10,000, but she never offered any alternatives to it. Then I showed her my simpler options, which were Grecian-esque gowns with simple cap sleeves. She returned with two dresses that did not match my styles at all; they reminded me of prom dresses. I told her I was very sorry — but I wasn’t interested in those dresses. She was very understanding, especially after I told her that my body type does not agree with that particular style dress. The next three dresses she brought were also not great, but I tried them anyway. They were not my style, but I wanted to try them. I am not a big girl, but I have wide hips. Neither dress would go over my hips. I told her about that dress style again, and the next dresses that came my way were the same style dress. I felt extremely fat…(not really her fault as much as mine)…and I felt very judged. With the close proximity of the other bridal parties and my extreme disappointment, I knew after 15 minutes that the appointment was not worth pursuing. I told the consultant that I wanted to leave, and she looked PISSED. I honesty did not care though. She was not hearing my requests, and she kept bringing me dresses that I could not wear. I do not know if this was Azarue’s fault or not. It could have just been a bad match with a consultant. She could have been having a bad day. I don’t know… but it was a negative experience for me. I just had a vision for a simple dress(which was on the website, but not in the store). All of the dresses seemed gaudy. If you’re wanting something classic, chic — you might consider skipping this place. If you are wanting a private dress shopping experience — skip this place.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say! They have a huge selection of amazing dresses. The staff was professional and attentive. After weeks of searching they were able to find me the perfect dress that was flattering and exactly what I asked for in less than 30 minutes.
