I give this place a 5 start rate because I can’t imagine life without their Hot Turkey melt with a cup of red pepper gouda soup… It is life. When you try it, because you have no option now, I suggest getting it on the jalapeño beard.

Unilocal directed me here having had good reviews. I have been to other locations and am familiar with the concept. Counter Culture is another healthy option if you are looking for a quick bite to eat that doesn’t involve a greasy burger and fries & is more expensive than your typical Subway $ 2 footlongs. I opted for their daily special– strawberry avocado salad topped with feta cheese, pecans & poppy seed dressing and I even added grilled chicken. The salad was refreshingly delicious with the strawberries & there were generous, perfectly ripe avocado slices. End result– I was surprised that it was such a huge salad & I could only manage to eat half, as I was stuffed! I’ll have to get dessert here the next time I’m passing through the area. There were no other patrons and I got my order to go. The staff were welcoming and got my lunch ready so quickly! Happy(healthy) eating and enjoy Unilocalers!

Not as many selections as the other Frozen Yogurt businesses around the area but I love the sandwiches and salads they provide as well; this gives it an advantage to the other places that just serve frozen yogurt! I have to say, if you haven’t tried the ‘Humphrey Yogurt’, you need to grab your car keys right now and head over to get yourself some and an extra one to drop off at my house! :) These were items that were pretty yummy: –Humphrey Yogurt – VERY yummy –Avocado Delight – I love avocado and I love alfalfa(sp?) sprouts! –The Trio Salad– a scoop of chicken salad, tuna salad and egg salad on top of lettuce; different but still tasty! –Humphrey Yogurt – it deserves to be mentioned twice: choice of three different fruits, granola and drizzled with yummy and topped with sweet and tart yogurt… I’m drooling just thinking about it.

Ahhhhh yes, it’s 100 degrees out, the A/C in your car doesn’t work, and you need something COLD. This is the spot! The humphrey is the thing to order… it’s awesome with the fruit, honey, and granola. It’s big, and filling… honestly almost a meal in itself. They do have some other yogurt flavors that are somewhat healthy, and still taste good. The sandwiches and soups are quite good, also. Check out the avacado sandwich. Lovely!

So I got the Humphrey Yogurt and it was TASTY! probably better tasting than anything else I have tried in the area. I put«Cheap» for price because the yogurt is like 6.00 and because I didn’t try food, but I’m guessing if I did a meal there would surely cost me 20+. Go try it and I know you won’t be disappointed, I surely wasn’t.

New location on East Texas for Counter Culture. I’m from the west coast so this is similar to the frozen yogurt places that have dotted the landscape out there for a while. Counter Culture goes a step further with sandwhiches and other food choices so I will definately have to get back and try that out. I wasn’t all the hungry and it’s hotter than the surface of the sun in this part of the country so was just going for some yogurt, I got the humphrey based on the many reviews i’ve seen for it. I was a little hesitant as it had granola and honey combined with 3 fruit choices. I undestand the 3 fruit choices but the granola and honey had me a little weirded out but what can you do, have to give it a try right? I got blueberries, strawberries and peaches. I have to say it was pretty darn good, I even liked the granola and honey, they didn’t load it up so much with honey that it overpowered anything else or made it to sweet and sugary. I“m trying to remember how much the frozen yogurt places were back west but I know you paid by the pound and for some reason $ 5.95 for the small Humphrey at Counter Culture seems to be a bit much. Oh well, i’m sure i’ll find myself back there when it’s so hot i’m going delerious and want something frozen to cool me off.
