Homewood Suites

Wonderful full FREE breakfast, FREE dinner with UNLIMITED wine & draught beer. Very clean, very modern. There is a putting green, an outdoor pool, and 2 gas grills in the courtyard for guest use. You really can’t beat this place! There is also a shuttle, Mike will take you around, he’s great!

Stayed here for a week and it was excellent. Room was nice and very clean. Staff was great as far as doing the cleaning around our schedule. Very good breakfast every morning. Pool and hot tub was nice. And it was a great value. 2 bedroom suite for $ 150 a night

We LOVED our stay here this week!
Upon arrival, we began noticing simple details that really make up a quality stay. For example, the front desk attendant made it a point to say, «I won’t announce your room number for your security, but it is typed here within your key card envelope.» It’s the little things!
They offer a shuttle service to anywhere within a 5 mile radius, which includes the Boardwalk and casinos. We didn’t use it, but saw it many times while in the Boardwalk area.
The rooms were clean and spacious. There was adequate clothing storage within the drawers and closet. I appreciated the multiple sitting areas (couch, desk, and kitchenette table) due to our week long stay there. The showers were the largest I’ve ever witnessed in a hotel, and it was nice to have the shower and toilet separate from the vanity and everything thing still be spacious.
Our favorite amenity was the morning breakfast, which we took advantage of everyday. Their country breakfast potatoes were AWESOME! There is also a complimentary dinner Monday– Thursday (complete with beer and wine). Though we did not partake in the meal, I did have a few glasses of wine in the evenings, which was quite nice.
The gym was also well equipped with the treadmills and ellipticals suited with TV monitors– be sure to bring your headphones!
The availability of parking to various doors made for easy access to every part of the hotel– accessibility gets an A++!
Last, but certainly not least, every single employee we encountered was gracious and welcoming. From the time we checked in, especially every morning during breakfast, and even through check out, we were always greeted with a smile!

Great room. However, when a fellow traveler and I arrived we were greeted by the front desk with the phrase «you look scared.» Was this code for something condescending? I wonder…

Let’s start by saying that this is definitely not the Four Seasons. It is, however, a great place to stay if you have business in the area. This hotel has a really great location near major roads and highways
This particular Homewood Suites comprises one half of a larger hotel complex. The other half is a Hilton Garden Inn. This review is only for the Homewood Suites half, as I have never stayed on the other side.
The rooms are well appointed for both long-​term business travelers and families. It consists of a bedroom, bathroom, a living room and a kitchenette with a table and chairs. Although we wanted a king sized bed, we were given a room with two queens and were pleased as punch. The sofa in the living room also folded out. We were only two people so did not require quiet so many sleeping areas. The small kitchenette had a full size refrigerator, a two-​burner stove, microwave, dishwasher and a half size sink. It also had a few basic cooking utensils and dish-​washing soap etc. We actually decided to use the kitchen twice instead of just going out after being tired from work. It was perfectly usable and we were able to eat relatively healthily… something not exactly easy to do in Louisiana.
Weekday evenings, they host a managers reception in the locked lobby area with complimentary beer, wine and dinner. We did go downstairs for a glass of wine one evening. Not the fanciest, but it definitely did the job.
My only real complaint is that they don’t really have their housekeeping adequately staffed. On a couple of occasions, they didn’t get to our room until well after 5pm. It was a little frustrating to be getting back from work only to not have fresh towels in order to wash off the day. Not a deal breaker, but a little annoying. Otherwise, the service was extremely helpful and friendly. They even directed me to a few stores that I might find interesting on a day I had a few hours off.
I would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable and clean! Large, spacious rooms with small full kitchens, dining table, couch, desk. There’s no tub, just an extra large shower with excellent water pressure. They even allowed my dogs for $ 20 extra. This hotel is connected to the Hilton Garden Inn so don’t accidentally purchase breakfast on the wrong side instead of getting it for free!

Wow! I was treated like a queen! From the second I walked in. Everything is new! Rooms are large and clean. Free breakfast and dinner Monday-​Thursday. Free parking. They have two beers on tap and wine for free dinner Monday– Thursday. There are other places within walking distance to eat at.
