Yummy, I am not a seafood eater but the gator is wonderful. I spent fat Tuesday here enjoyed the atmosphere and how well I was served.

We ordered appetizer crab cakes, Ralph’s platter, steak, and crawfish platter. It was all delicious. Very well priced, Fun environment and very nice staff. For dessert we ordered the Beignet(fluffy pastry things) and they were AMAZING. I would go back just for those. Over all a great experience. Enjoy.

We were visiting for weekend and decided to stop by. We were seated right away but took some time to be waited on. Food was pretty good. We had blacken catfish, fried shrimp, fried crawfish and onion rings. Rolls were great probably the best part of the meal. Oh yeah, God happy hour but you have to go to the bar to get the happy hour price.

Overpriced for average tasting food. However they do have a large menu with a lot of variety if you need to please a diverse crowd and a friendly staff.

I drove in on a Friday night with my dad on a cross country trip. We’ve lived in the south before, and we were excited to taste some Louisiana styled food. The staff was excellent and very friendly. The food was alright, but too much on the salty side for us. The cedar salmon platter was good, and very filling.

Wonderful food, atmosphere and service. Visited last year or so with friends and family and had an enjoyable experience. Would definitely return when visiting LA.

Our family loves this place, and this is usually the spot we hit when no one can agree on the same thing. Food is consistent, service is the best in town, and the restaurant is clean. The place is huge, and even when full, there is hardly ever a wait.(I hate waiting and nowhere is worth more than a 20 minute wait… max)

Delicious food. You want Eduardo to be your server. His suggestions were fantastic and he was prompt and provided the type of service you would expect in fine dining. This place is a must if you’re visiting Bossier!

My wife and I have been dining here since the restaurant opened and have generally, with a few exceptions, always enjoyed our meals. The fried shrimp, fish and oysters have always been incredible and the hush puppies are the best around. The seafood salads are a good choice as well. We have, on more than one occasion, been disappointed with the raw oysters we received and have wondered why they were even served since they were so small and of such low quality. The service has always been excellent. I am giving this restaurant 4 stars rather than 5 because of the problems we have had with the raw oysters. Hopefully, someone with the restaurant will read this post and fix the problem.

I have always loved going to Ralph & Kacoo’s for a meal. They have very friendly staff and I have never been disappointed with their meals. I had the grilled Talapia with steamed vegetables. I loved the flavor of the Tilapia and the seasoning that was added. The steamed vegetables were not over cooked. My wife had a bowl of gumbo, which she loved. The salad she had was soggy. She does not like soggy salads. I was very pleased with the taste of my food. My wife loved the gumbo but not the soggy salad. She is one of those type of people who has a dislike for soggy salads. Our waitrees was very attentive and checked on us several times. I always enjoy the food at Ralph & Kacoo’s in Bossier City, although it does seem to be overpriced.

We absolutely love this place. Eat here at least once a month. Everything on the menu is amazing. My boyfriend loves the stuffed shrimp and I am a big fan of the mahi mahi. Also, the marinated crab claws are amazing. Be careful with the margaritas… if you have more than two, you may not be able to walk out of the restaurant! Complementary biscuits and hush puppies served with every meal. They have great prices at happy hour as well. Go! I promise you won’t regret it!

Great dining experience! I got the Shrimp Trawl. Everything in this platter was delicious, my favorite part was the shrimp au gratin. I took half of this meal home. The roll brought before the meal was fluffy and delicious. It was dusted with a powdery cheese and it melted in my mouth. The bread pudding was nice and warm and was drizzled with a rum sauce. Delicious! It was a huge serving so I had to split it. I will be back!

This place is fantastic! We wanted seafood with a Cajun flair… this definitely exceeded our expectations! Our server was Gerald and he was extremely helpful in helping us decide on our entrees and it was obvious he was knowledgable about the menu. We ended up getting the Shrimp Trawl and St. Charles shrimp. We loved everything in the Shrimp Trawl… amazing food and fresh. The servings were extremely generous as well. The happy hour Cosmos were great for 3.00! I will definitely come back next time we are in the area!

Stopped by on 8÷3÷15 around 7pm. Over all very solid place. I ordered crab cakes and oysters as an app(that never came out) which was probably for the best and they didn’t charge for them. I did get the Tilapia Atchafalaya which was great. My man got the Fried Catfish Fillets which he also liked. The bread that they give out is very tasty as well. We were at the end of a vacation when we stopped here(so kinda tired) we’ll be back to try again the next time we’re in town.

Not being from the south this place was recommended to me by several locals. My past 2 experiences with catfish tasted like dirt, but I decided to reach out again and the blackened catfish turned out great. For the appetizer I had blackened alligator which was juicy and tender, and the hollandaise dipping sauce complimented it nicely. I finished with some southern bread pudding and I’m mad I didn’t save more room, it was scrumptious.

I’ve been to this restaurant twice now and will probably come by every time I have an over night stay in the Shreveport area. First and foremost, Denise, our waitress, is the main reason we had such a great time the first time we came in March & why I brought my husband here on this trip. Even if the food was horrible, which it wasn’t, we’d come back to sit in her section; she made ya feel like you were sitting around her table at home for a nice Sunday dinner. Ask for her section! Secondly, the mushrooms from the Chef’s Features haven’t disappointed either time I’ve been there. I really should just make that my meal! We also shared Ralph’s Platter & still had leftovers. The crawfish is so good here even when it’s not in season. Get anything with crawfish in it, you’ll be happy you did!

You get free bread and hush puppies. The bread was delicious. Ordered the jumbo shrimp grilled. It came with dirty rice and a side. I chose vegetables. The shrimp dish came with 10 shrimps which was delicious. I was full after eating just 3. Overall the food had lots of flavor, best dirty rice I’ve ever had!

First, let me say that I have been coming here for many years. I usually order the same crab au gratin. Always a pleaser. Tonight, I decided to switch it up a bit. I had the gumbo and a bowl of crawfish étouffée. The gumbo was sooooo salty. I couldn’t get enough rice to cut the saltiness. The waiter said they have been«tweaking» the recipe with less oyster broth. Well, tell the chef that it was almost inedible. The étouffée was rather bland in comparison. Not bad, but not remarkable, either. Now for the best part of my dinner… dessert. The offered a free dessert with my meal on Unilocal. It was the best bread pudding that I have ever had! Covered with a creamy glaze, and served warm and delicious. Thanks for a great waiter who tells it like it is! I’ll be back, hoping for some less salt in my diet!

No. Nope. NOPE. Came to this location for a birthday celebration for a friend’s family member. We just came into town after driving from Dallas and were starving by the time we got to this restaurant. We already planned what we wanted to eat, after viewing the menu online. Everything sounded decent… but what we got was subpar. First of all, the service wait times were horrid. Our server was extremely nice — loved her. But the wait time… no. If you placed an order, be it drink(alcoholic or non alcoholic) or food, you were destined to wait at least 20 minutes. And for the love of God, don’t order any alcoholic beverages here. My friend and I ordered Long Island Iced Teas and what we got was basically colored water. There was nearly no liquor in it. And if I’m going to pay $ 15 for a drink, there better well be alcoholic in it. The food was messy, no matter what anyone ordered. The seafood was bland, if you asked for cheese on anything it came back with a cheese hat… have your Tums available. All in all, if someone recommends that you eat here, please do yourself a favor and fake illness and stay home.
