Thanks a lot. I spent half the day doubled over with debilitating stomach cramps. I actually had to go to the ER where I was so dehydrated my blood pressure was 70/?. They said it was so low it was half what it should be. My whole body was weak and tingly. They gave me an IV and three different medications. I’m on clear liquids for the rest of the night. I guess this is what happens when you eat rotten seafood, and it’s not like I waited to eat it. I ordered my food and picked it up right away at 5:00. It takes two minutes to get there because they’re right outside the front gate. So, if you want to know what it feels like to wake up covered in sweat and freezing, barely making it to the bathroom so you can spend the next three hours peeing out of your unmentionable whilst throwing up at the same time, eat here. I’m being kind with my description of today’s events. The cramps were awful. It’s a good thing my husband took me to the ER. Where does your seafood come from? Do you refreeze it? How long does it sit out? I ate grilled fish, grilled shrimp and one grilled oyster. Yes, one. Good thing I didn’t eat anymore, because I’m pretty sure the oyster was the culprit. Not pleased. Today was horridly painful and dangerous. You have a responsibility for the health of your patrons. I will never eat here again.

My friend and I visited this restaurant while visiting Bossier City this past weekend. I found the establishment on Unilocal and after the reading reviews, thought we would visit. I ordered the 4 piece with red beans and rice and mozzarella sticks. 1st of all the fish was good. The red beans and rice how ever were cold. And I didn’t love the flavor. I also got mozzarella sticks, but they had no Marinara. Wth. I gave this place 3 stars bc my friend really loved the fried green tomatoes and that’s a good thing. We got there pretty late, so maybe that’s what the issue was. But I personally was not impressed.

Had the chicken poboy, it was absolutely wonderful. Fries crispy, chicken fried to golden perfection. It did need a little more spice though but a wonderful lunch to say the least. Will return for sure. Sure I will order the same thing and more.

I don’t know who Sam is, but as long as he keeps making me great seafood, I have no question. lol I love the restaurant’s interior, I like seeing Sam everywhere… on the windows, on the menu, and even on my soda cup, he looks funny. lol Most importantly, I like Sam’s Grilled Fish! It’s amazing! Their grilled jumbo shrimp is good too. When you are craving fried fish, go ‘Café USA’(oops!) BUTIF you are craving GRILLED fish or grilled shrimp, just grab your keys, start the car and drive here!!! ^__^

Great po boys at an okay price. Surprised no military discount that close to base like the other restaurants offer. Also they only had one high chair in the whole place so it was not very easy for us to eat with our 15 month old

This is an awesome place to eat. We came in about a quarter to 9, and didn’t know they closed at 9. The person that took our order was super sweet and even gave us free drinks. Definitely need more people like her in this world. They even let people come in and get food after they closed, it was past 9 and people were still ordering. My wife is super picky and usually hates every place I pick to eat but she said it was really good and really enjoyed it. Awesome food and awesome place.

Had the jumbo shrimp with some red beans and rice. Really great flavor and the beans had the perfect amount of seasoning. My friends got the po’boys and they looked delicious as well. Really good prices and a decent selection for food on the go or a quick dine in.

Have always been a fan of SAM’s. Finally tried the double cheeseburger and have added it to the list of great food there! Huge and juicy burger. Served up fast. You better get the single if you’re not super hungry!

I had the fish poboy. Not bad the basa fish is tasty as catfish. However I keep thinking it could have been better with blackened seasoning and a toasted roll…

My husband and I love the fried shrimp po boy! It’s quite filling and for $ 8.11 for one sandwich, we split it for a yummy lunch! It’s a great place and we love the quality of the shrimp that they have. The fries are delicious too!!!

Read the reviews and I had to try it. Let me tell you something about this place… it’s GOOD! Front counter lady could have a better way of talking to folks, but you can’t find good food and service all over the place. I odered number 22 which was a 4 fried fish with fries and red beans and rice. Waited 7 mins and got it in a to go box while everyone else had actual dine in plates(wtf) fries were perfectly seasoned and had a nice crunch. Not greasy. Red beans… OMG! delicious. Now that fish… they were HUGE! I actually had 5 fish in my box… like ok… can y’all count? It wasn’t greasy nor have that strong fish smell like other places. It was super hot on the inside. Nice crunch on the breading. Very nice! The oysters are also very big. The size of jalapeño poppers(no joke) give this place a try. Don’t be scared of the paint job! It looks crazy in there lol

Went there, had the 3×3, grilled shrimp and baked fish with red beans and rice. It was very good. Definitely a new go to spot when I want a nice, healthyish meal. Good price. Portions that will fill you up. I enjoyed the experience.

Quite possibly the best seafood I’ve had in Louisiana so far. Been in LA about 6 months. I’ve so far been to sams 5 times, I absolutely love it! The shrimp is to die for! The portions are huge! And the price is very reasonable! :-)

40+ combos on the menu board, NONE of which are chicken & shrimp… but… if you order the 3+3 fish/shrimp, they’ll sub chicken… I suggest making your order grilled, not fried(unless you’re into this southern deep fried everything trend). The shrimp are huge! And the prices are good(you’ll always get more than you order)! Not the cleanest place for a sit-down meal, but, who cares!

Portions are out of control!!! Fried green tomatoes were good just couldn’t eat all so felt unless you’re feeding 6 people they will go to waste! Shared fried fish(average) and grilled shrimp(DELICIOUS)!!!

Not the best ambiance(you could still see signs from when the location used to be a mexican restaurant?) and the lighting was weird and tables were sticky. We ordered the grilled 3 shrimp and 3 fish with red beans and rice and fries and ended up with an enormous styrofoam thing of food. It was more than enough for my BF and I to share for dinner. We got at least 6 shrimp which made my BF very happy. The fish and shrimp were very, very salty and they didn’t really give much rice so we had a hard time finishing the food. Good place to go for some good cheap seafood though.

As good of grilled shrimp and red beans and rice as a side(OMG!) as you’re gonna find in these parts anywhere, and at a fraction of the cost!!! I was weary of the grilled shrimp at first, and for no good reason, and I was as devoted a fried shrimp lover from this place, as there was anyone else. But this summer I am attempting to drop some of my girth, lose some of my Incredible Hulk, as it were. So my wife, being the more sensible one, started ordering the grilled shrimp from this locale and I tried them and fell in love with this dish! Spicy, but not too spicy! Excellent flavor, and the shrimp are de-veined, hoo-rah! I just started getting the red beans and rice as a side and I will say this, no yell this, with the utmost of my southernmost sincerity, and I quote myself, «THEREDBEANSANDRICEATTHISSAM’S AREBETTER, ANDMORETASTY, THANEVENCOPELAND’S!!!» And again, at the fraction of the cost! This meal, along with the green beans as my other side, will be my go-to meal of the summer… And I hope, that with this diet, and also trimming the sugar and colas, along w/literally pedaling and sweating my a*s off on my bike this summer, the pounds will start to disappear! And the Hulk will go bye bye!
