This low rating is due to the horrible drink that I ordered. The atmosphere was nice, not too loud to talk, but still lively(which is why there are 2 stars). But the drink was a different story. I’m always hesitant to order a mojito at a restaurant, because most of the time, they just are not made correctly. But for a place that calls itself a martini lounge, I thought I would give it a shot. Plus, they had it advertised at a special price for happy hour. I wasn’t expecting it to be amazing, but I was expecting at least a decent mojito. The result? This was the worst mojito I have ever had. It tasted like soda water with lime, and zero alcohol. I’ll come back and give it another try, though. Maybe it was just an off drink, and the lounge is a nice place to chat and visit.

This place was great for a weeknight Sangria/Tapas night with a friend. We were there on a Tuesday, so we were able to get the Sangria for the weekly special price and got to try some of their tapas for $ 3 as well. If you go on their website, it shows you their specials for each day, so make sure to check it out(Trivia night, 90’s night, Happy Hour, Tapas/Sangria night…). Their Sangria was delicious! As for the food, we tried their Cauliflower fritters, spinach dip with tortilla chips, and calamari with cucumber wasabi aioli. Cauliflower fritters were alright, they were served with a cheese sauce. The spinach dip would have been better if the chips were better fried, there were some pieces that were chewy rather than crispy. Calamari was probably our favorite dish, it went really well with the aioli. We got the full sized order and it was smaller than we expected, so I don’t think half size is worth trying. This place was good and I plan on coming back on other days of the week to try their weekly events.

I went with my partner and a friend to 90s Night at 6B and we had a great time. The DJ played awesome songs that got the crowd in a great mood. Everybody was really enjoying the atmosphere and was happy. The bartenders were very attentive, fast, & made great drinks. A lot of fun!

The atmosphere was pretty good here. The drinks wee good but the food was not so much. I ordered calamari and it came cold. It’s not really a tapas bar at all. The sizes are large, which is good. The waitress was really nice.

I just recently went here while some friends and I were visiting the great city of Boston. We had heard that this lounge had great 80s music on Saturday nights. The DJ who was there(on 5⁄23) was not that great. He sounded too much like a cheesy, wedding DJ and kept saying that«tips would greatly be appreciated» if you wanted to make a request. He did play the few requests we had, although he had given a couple of my friends a hard time, not liking their song choices. Then the music would veer into some 90s stuff and 70s-era disco. With some of the songs he played, we just looked at each other like«huh?» I have NO problem with different musical genres, but how can you mess up mixing songs from one of the best musical decades that ever existed? Seriously? The only saving grace was the fantastic service we got from our waitress. I didn’t get her name, but she was on point with our drinks and water refills. So, kudos to her. All in all, it was a fun night. With the exception of moody and tacky DJ.

80’s night on Saturdays is pretty fun and the DJ is by far the best part of the night-hysterical! Decent beer selection. Suuuuuper crowded. Got elbowed and bumped into by more drunk girls than I care to remember. The bars so small it’s really tough to dance with that many people, which kind of defeats the purpose.

This place was a huge disappointment! We went for 80s night and found that it was really just the same as any other crowded, overpriced, and overrated bar. The bartender was incredibly rude and insulting. The music was the same as anywhere else and it was way too small to do any kind of dancing. We left very unhappy and disappointed with the night.

Went for 80s night and had a pretty good time except for an incident at the bar which was handled by the manager after. Maybe will try again in the future.

I came here for 90’s night. They have 90’s night every Friday and 80’s every Saturday. It’s a pretty nice place to grab drinks and have a girls night of date. Note that after 9:30 on each night there will be a $ 5 cover charge so try to get there early to avoid it. It usually doesn’t start filling up until 10pm.

Came in on a Friday night with my wife, brother/sister in-law. We have this thing about checking out a new spot every Friday and grabbing drinks and apps. We entered through Emmett’s and arrived at what was a very laid back club/lounge experience. We only waited about 20 minutes before a booth opened up and were ordering. Drinks were just right, food was even better. Great place to wrap up the week or get the weekend started. We’ll definitely make our way back.

I stopped in here three weeks ago to grab a cocktail before walking back to my car after dinner. I had never been here, nor heard anything about it to be honest. I was cold, it was close, and it was on my way, so why not? They were doing a Mardi Gras type theme thing, giving out beads and such which I thought was amusing. There were two dj’s which I though was a little odd for a Thursday night but they were solid, playing a bit of everything to keep the crowd engaged. The atmosphere on a whole was pretty good, it’s a small spot but it’s not too loud. It’s got a club feel without being too«clubby» if you know what I mean. I’m personally not a dancer but people were, I chose to duck into a corner with a cocktail and people watch. Cocktails were good, average price for the city. All and all I’d go back next time I’m in the area.

Mixed feelings, mostly on me. Let me put this right out there: I hate clubs. I’m not a big house music fan. I don’t like lounges. If you like these things, you will like this place. It’s not the fault of the restaurant that this aesthetic just ain’t my jam. Came here with a friend for dinner. They had a new chef and the food was coming out HELLLLA slow, but the waitress comped us on some items without us asking or complaining. That kind of proactive customer service makes an impression; we really appreciated that. That’s two stars right there. The food when it arrived was good! Not blow your mind level, but I got what I was expecting: tasty, good quality ingredients well-prepared. They do have a couple of sandwiches with Irish bacon, which I dearly love(YAYBOSTON), so if you enjoy it as well, take note. Again, this place is not my sort of scene, but if I was entertaining folks for whom this WOULD be their jam, I would definitely go back.

I’ve been to 6B Lounge for the 2015 New year’s Eve and I loved the intimacy and dancefloor! To go there I needed to book a ticket in advance, around $ 20 which is really reasonable for a NYE night. The staff’s nice and friendly, welcomed us with smile which starts your night well. Cocktails are delicious(Blueberry sth with Vodka: awesome!). And we got free Champaign at the end! * I just expected better music to dance on. I know that 80s/90s are nice but boring when played all night long — I wished some more various music to celebrate this wonderful new year!

I came for trivia night on Monday. It was alright. There was not much workers, so service was a bit slow. A lot of people showed up for trivia. It was a bit hard to hear the trivia questions at the back of the bar(like a muffled sound). Overall, trivia was fun and the guys who lead it are great! Food is okay. It was half off appetizers, Monday night, what more can you ask for? It was decent bar food. Pretty good prices on beers. It was overall a decent bar to get drinks/food and hang out with friends.

AWESOME dark interior — very comfortable and cool. Small, cozy bar area. Smallish tap list, but some solid offerings. Delicious mixers(gin and tonic), and good happy hour prices. Helpful bartender, if not a bit hurried. Awesome neighborhood, too.

I met here with a group of friends for a birthday. They seated us in the corner, and we didn’t not have enough room for all of us to sit comfortably. $ 3 tapas on Tuesdays, but nothing was that great. Not enough gluten free options! I struggled to find anything fresh and healthy on the menu. I ended up ordering the chicken sandwich with ‘irish bacon’, minus the break. The chicken was a thin cut, and horribly overcooked. Bacon… some kind of cheap Canadian bacon? Don’t get me wrong, I love that stuff, but this was just disgraceful. Again, hard and overcooked. They gave me a side salad that was so covered in dressing that it was slimy and not great to eat. Not only was the food bad, it was over priced! Not worth my money at all… Our waitress was not happy with our group, and most definitely gave us a poor attitude. Snobby, and no one wanted to leave her a good tip. I know this is a bar, but if you advertise dinner and apps, they should at least be decent! I won’t be returning here.

I was actually at Emmet’s for a birthday party and noticed people were walking thru the back to another area. Then soon after that a line formed. The whole birthday group decided it would be a good idea to move spots. We got in line, paid the $ 5 cover and hopped on over. They were playing 90s pop music? I mean, there was a bar area that was somewhat easily accessible, a dance floor that was two levels(I don’t necessarily think it’s a good idea to have stairs in the middle of the dance area), and a live DJ. It’s actually kind of small and it’s def more of a bar/restaurant with random dance floor. It’s nice that there were plenty of tables and chairs and you can sit down towards the back of the place. I just wasn’t really feeling the place as there were some really random drunk dancing… and just… not classy. I am still looking for a nice place to go out in Boston. Sigh.

Do you want: No line to get in? An easily accessible dancefloor? Cheap drinks? The ability to drink while you stand in line for the floor? Come here! Do you want: The same seven crappy songs that are played in every Boston bar(journey, sweet Caroline, I don’t want to lose you love, just a friend, etc) ? Badly dressed dudes? A so-so guy: girl ratio? Mediocre service? Sweat? Come here!

I went into 6B for the first time in October with one of my friends on a Friday just for dinner and a couple of drinks, we didn’t intend on staying for the night but then we found out it was 90s on a Friday. With both of us loving a bit of Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys and old school Hip Hop we thought we’d just hang around and see how it was… …HONESTLY one of the best nights I’ve had in my 20’s!!! Obviously those nights you don’t plan are always the best, but after that night, 6B became our regular on a Friday and we have so much fun every time! DJ T-Rex is amazing, he plays such a good mix of 90’s, everything you want to hear, pop, hip hop, and every time I’ve made a request it’s been played, same with my friends. Often toward the end of a song I decide to leave the dance floor to get a drink but half way there I have to run back because the next song is such a classic and I need to dance to it!!! The bar staff are also really friendly, it can sometimes take a while to get a drink but only like anywhere else on a Friday night in Boston. Overall, 6B is my favorite regular bar now and I will continue to go as long as 90s night keeps going! I urge anyone to check it out, you won’t be disappointed!

This place is fun for what it is. a dive that offers 80’s and 90’s night. What I hate. is the line outside. In the freezing cold. there is no reason for that especially when you walk inside and it’s not even full. They let more people in as it gets later. but I waited an hour from 10 to 11 pm. and I was annoyed. Drinks are reasonably priced. bought a round of tequila shots and it was good. Down the street from the hotel I was staying. They charge about $ 5 for going into the dancing area. Dancing was fun. it gets a bit hot there and they only serve the drinks in here in plastic cups(which reminds me of college but that’s fine). I think I would love it if both sides played the music and you could just dance or stand anywhere.
