Nice atmosphere, security staff in lobby is extremely rude though

I can’t say enough good things about the King Street Tavern. I stopped by the day before I wanted to host a work event of up to 50 people, and they were happy to accommodate. I was told there would be reserved tables, and they even blocked off outside tables and the nice couches for us. There was plenty of communication, I received a few emails before our event, and even a follow-up after. The staff could not have been friendlier, and the service was top notch. The food and drinks were amazing, we felt well taken care of for the entire night. Cheers to Mark, Henry, and their staff for providing such wonderful service! We will definitely be back!

Intimate atmosphere and interesting design features like the historic tiled floor, yet nothing special. At 9:00pm on a Saturday night, the place was dead and the bartender seemed drugged — very spacey and dreamy, if not drooly. Strange experience — plus, he messed up my tab, adding my friend’s drink without any indication from us that I was treating.

This place is ill. Best bartenders in the city will make you anything, really delicious food, and good live music almost every night. Wish they had a double IPA on tap but hopefully they will soon. Check out the folk night on Wednesdays, those guys are slammin! And they do an open jam on Sunday nights that anyone can bring an instrument to if they want to get funky. Everyone there is super nice!

Was visiting for a conference and got to meet the amazing staff. Thanks for the drinks Jesse and Jake and the hospitality Christina. Pros: — Solid, strong drinks — Amazing bartenders — Live music — TVs(caught the MNF game) — Food. I had the burger and chowder. Both were top-notch. Cons: — A little on the pricey end — Got too much of the hotel bar vibe. Which is fine since I was staying at the hotel but after talking to the staff, they want to open it up.

Great spot for food, drinks, and best of all love music every night! It’s located on the first floor if the Ames Boston Hotel right where State St becomes Court St. Super super nice bartenders and staff, swanky décor, and cool cocktails justify the somewhat high prices. Seems like they probably rent out the second floor for private events too. Cool spot!

The bartender here makes some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. The time and attention to detail that is taken is awesome. My wife and I look for different cocktails and this is the place. Note you pay Boston prices but your in Boston. The Revival is a must. The New Classic is exactly what it says it is. The Hugo intrigues.

$ 9 stiff pour of old Overholt. A bottle of this only costs $ 15, but I’m happy they have this, I’m happy they re-opened, I’m happy I’m not my neighbors drinking the fireball shots that evening. They’re working on getting 6 taps instead of the present 2, and hopefully next time there will be local Mass beer. Now, if only the city’s historical preservation nazis would let them hang new signage declaring itself as King’s St Tavern, instead if just Ames’ glorified«lobby bar».
