The lamb shish-kabob and baba ganoush were off the chain good! The baklava was perfect: a little sweet, a little buttery, and a little crunchy.

This is a review based on delivery. Only eaten from here once, but we got a sampling of the menu to get a good idea of what we like and don’t like. Verdict: It was a hit or miss for me, but the hits were good enough that I would definitely order again and now want to go and eat in. Here’s a summary: –Baklava(hit): I’m starting with dessert, because this is hands down the best baklava I’ve ever had. It’s probably a little too sweet for me, but that didn’t stop me. Baklava can be dry and flavorless, but not this baklava! Delicious! –Mixed Vegetarian Plate(hit): the baba ganoush is one of the best I’ve ever had and the hummus is great too. Spicy vegetable dip is good(not spicy) and the tabuleh is fine, but I’m never too impressed with it. It does add a nice freshness to the heavy dips. I LOVE dolmas(grape leaves as they’re called on the east coast), but I really didn’t like these. They are sweet, which I don’t prefer. –Homemade bread(undecided): I can tell that this is probably good bread when it’s brought out hot, but when you get it in delivery it just gets a little too hard. Would love to try this in person. –Chicken Chops(hit): Really juicy chicken thighs. I’d get this again. Could use more seasoning. –Mixed Grill(total miss): Not a fan at all. The Adana Kebab was the best of the three, but the Kofte kebab was awful. It was a burnt unseasoned patty cooked to extremely well done. Not sure what they were trying to do here. The lamb shish kebab was pretty dry and unseasoned too. In general, I think all their meets need more seasoning.

I been here twice during my trip to Boston. My first day was great here. Great food and good service. Second day the service wasn’t good. Waitress dropped the the last corner slide of my pide to the floor and didnt offer me a new pide. Also, she made me move to the other table with dirty dishes but left me with them until I asked her to clean the table. It’s a small place and needs to some improvements but the food tasted very similar to the food in Turkey. Thats why you should try the place if you are into Turkish, Mediterranean cuisine.

Buyer beware! Ate there last night and loved it, but this morning I see an additional charge in my bank account where someone apparently tipped themselves $ 15. Separate charge. I did not use my card any where else last night.

We were visiting from Chicago and were excited to see this place delivered. We ordered a salad, lentil soup, hummus, and falafel. Salad and lentil were tastey. Unfortunately, the falafel lacked flavor and was only cooked on the outside. The quantity of food provided was good, they just need to focus on the quality as well.

Great food. Great service. They accidently forgot my baklava and handled the situation perfectly by getting it to me(with a little treat extra as an apology). Baba Ganoush was really good too.

This place is a hidden gem! It’s located about a 10 minute walk from the orange line Tufts station so very convenient in terms of getting there. It’s quaint– probably not the best idea for big parties. The food is phenomenal though! I was recommended this restaurant by my friend who is from Turkey so she told me what to get. The Chicken Kabob was phenomenal and the rest of the dish was very authentic and delicious. It was a great price for how big the meal was too! I got a half order of the meal and it was absolutely enough for me(I’m also a relatively small girl). So excited to go back!

Delicious Turkish food in the south end, and one of the few places where you can get a filling meal at a reasonable price.

I ordered the Kofte Kabab a few times through GrubHub and was very pleased on both occasions. The meat is delicious as is their rice and vegetables. I would have given five stars but on the second occasion they forgot to include a few extra items I paid for. Not a big deal but definitely something I needed to mention.

Ordered there very recently on a sunday night, and it was a disappointing experience. Delivery took an hour or so, the chicken dish had very little chicken, and oh yes that rice pudding of theirs… Very late delivery and subpar food, they won’t be getting my money again anytime soon.

Don’t let the outside of this place fool you. The food was AMAZING!!! From the bread, to the hummus, to the lamb kabobs… best I’ve had in awhile. I will be returning every time I’m in the Boston area.

This place is great! I ordered delivery from them at work, and I accidentally missed the delivery because I was stuck inside a lab with no reception. I called back, felt terrible, and he re-delivered my food after 20 minutes. He was so nice, I wouldn’t have even cared if the food was bad. But the falafel wrap, grape leaves, and baklava I ordered are some of the best food I’ve had in Boston since I moved here. I will definitely be getting more falafel from Ali Baba in the future.

I just returned from Istanbul, where I found the food to be amazing, and so looked around Boston to see if I could find any Turkish food upon my return. I found Ali Baba. It looks like a little take-out deli with a few tables in the front, but don’t let that fool you. The food tasted like it was right off the plane from Istanbul. It appears to share space with the Mexican restaurant next door, and can be easy to walk by and miss it — but don’t miss it!

I felt like I just went to Istanbul for a nice lunch. We got cheese rolls, meat pide, and mixed meat plate which were amazingly good. Just the way I like. Highly recommended!

Being turkish I had bigger expectations from a turkish restaurant. No music, u can hear your own breathe, chicken adana is made up, adana kebab is made of beef or lamb or mix of both. And my friend orders it. And total failure. I had the karisik pide. Sausage and pastrami. It was alright. Falafel was weak, cacik was from yesterday. Overall 2.5 stars from me. Sorry guys.
