I went in today excited to try the chicken kabob. I placed my order at 1245 and patiently waited. The staff was very nice at first. i got my order at 1:03 and rt before that I asked if it was gonna be much longer because I did have to leave. The owner then said she’d give me my money back and that they were not fast food and they book from scratch. I just kept saying thank you despite her rudeness in front of the entire restaurant. I then left still excited about my kabob. So I open the meal and I take a bite and the chicken tasted undercooked. I was like not let me give them the benefit of the doubt and took another bite and the same thing happened. So I begrudgingly called and asked for the manger and the woman who picked up was the same woman who was rude before. She stated she was the owner. I asked her why she was so rude before which she ignored. Then I told her about the issue with the chicken which she said she would give me a refund for wo apology. With that being said the rice was amazing but I of course didn’t eat it all for fear she would retaliate and not give me a full refund for my meal. Very disappointed customer.

Really impressed by the price, the quality of ingredients, and the friendliness of the staff. An excellent place to get lunch.

Andre’s recently catered our office lunch and it was excellent! The wraps were fresh and tasty and our gluten-free coworker seemed very happy with her salad. Definitely going to be a repeat for us. I actually happen to live just up the street and Andre’s seems like it’ll have to get incorporated into my regular rotation. :)

Went in for lunch to start trying alternatives to Blunch since I’m new in the neighborhood. Determined this is not a good alternative to Blunch. Everything was just meh. Nothing particularly bad, but just not very good. Tuna wrap was meh. Falafel was a little worse than meh. Will stick to Blunch and trying other options for this neighborhood for the time being.

I have been ordering from Andre’s Café for years and up until a few years ago when the ownership has changed. I have always been a fan of Andre’s food and friendly customer service but the most recent visit at the restaurant has me convinced otherwise. It was around 6pm on Monday and I walked into Andre’s to a girl at the cashier. She never smiled or greeted me, just looked at me until I walked up to order. The entire time I was ordering she never said a word. No please, no thank you. I went to sat down and wait for my order while she tend to other customers and gave them the same treatment. It was really strange in my book… not sure if she only works in the evenings because I have never had that kind of treatment when I order lunch with my coworkers. Other than that, I have always loved their spicy fries. Best spicy fries around the South End area.

Excellent serice, excellent food, and prices are very reasonable. My favorite dish here is the chicken kabob plate(with rice), i order it almost everyday!

Went here to grab a quick bite as I had a late day in the office. One of my coworkers had told me good things about this place so I decided to check it out. I decided to go with the chicken shawarma on a whole wheat wrap. The sandwich itself was a great size – especially for the price. It was stuffed full of chicken and also had enough sauce and lettuce to make for a nice bite. The one pitfall of this wrap was that the tahini sauce was not quite what I was expecting and did not really have a strong taste – which didn’t really add to the rest of the flavors. The pickled vegetables were a nice touch, but they were not evenly distributed throughout the wrap. Overall, this place gives you a lot of bang for your buck and the food comes out quickly, but the flavor profile of the wrap left much to be desired.

I ordered a small fries which was only half full, compare to the past. Was told that they changed and downgrade all their sizes two weeks ago, yet the prices are the same.

The chicken had no flavor. Was literally taken out of the chicken container then tossed into the fryer. No seasoning at all. Don’t ever buy the wings from this place. I gave them 2 stars because the hangover burrito is good. Check your bag before you leave because they never get your order right.

Solid mezze platter. Friendly folks in a plain but clean environment. Quick service. Nice felafel, the hummus honestly was a bit off … not smooth enough(needed olive oil?). nice takhina.

I have lived down the street from Andres for almost 3 years now. so I know the place pretty well(have eaten here at least over a dozen times). It’s nothing extraordinary in the South End, but has always come through for me when a strong meat craving hits. and is traditionally my go-to on those«gotta-have-meat-man this day sucked» type of days. MUSTTRY: — KC Burger — is essential a ground up burger into small bits with feta cheese served on a roll. I always add extra tomatoes and jalapenos to mine — which makes it fireeee. — Their Ice cream/frozen yogurt thing? I forget which it is. but it’s DAMNGOOD! Get this with any of the toppings! — Hear their veggie burger(a more recent addition to the menu) is pretty good and worth trying. It’s pretty cool that they let you order on the phone, and you can go in for pick-up pretty much within 10 mins and have it ready. Friendly, efficient, and satisfying!

Had an Italian sandwich, which came with literally one slice of each meat inside(pepperoni might have been two slices). I’ve had my share of italian subs in the past, both from businesses and my own kitchen, but this takes the prize for the skimpiest meat portions. I’ve seen some restaurants take out the insides of the bread to stuff stacks of the cold cut meats, but you don’t have to expect that here. After one bite out of the sandwich, the bread: meat:bread ratio was something like 5:1:5. This was the saddest Italian sub I’ve ever seen.

I live in the area and stopped in a few days ago for a quick bite after work… best take out I’ve had that I can remember! I got the steak tips with a Greek salad, the steak was cooked to my specification perfectly and the Greek salad was awesome. I have to admit I am a tough critic with Greek salads, it’s my go to order, all the ingredients were fresh and the feta was delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. Andres café is definitely going to be one of my staples from now on!

I just visited this establishment tonight and ordered a burger, but, due dietary restrictions, requested that there be no cheese on the burger. However, despite my requests, the burger they gave me came with cheese and was undercooked. In short, this place is overpriced, overrated and they may or may not pay attention to your dietary restrictions and/or requests. I won’t be going back.

It’s still a run-down burger joint, but at least their food is fresh and the burgers are not too overcooked. Still, beggars can’t be choosy: it’s one of the few options close enough to the BU medical center.

This place is fast and convenient for lunch. The portions are big and the prices are pretty good. You can call in your order or order there, but they definitely move quickly to get the food out ASAP. I had the Parsia Shawarma and I could only finish half of it for lunch. I ended up saving the other half for later. The wrap itself was too dry and hard for my liking, but the ingredients inside were fresh. I thought it lacked a little flavor but everything tasted fresh. For the convenience, price and portion, it’s definitely a solid lunch spot.

For many years Andre’s has been a staple of the BU Med campus. It used to be a rather run-down little burger/wrap joint, but the current owners(the last few years) have really renovated it nicely and improved the recipes a lot! They even have food challenges for anyone crazy enough to do that!(I scored second place out of 10 contestants eating Greek chicken wraps) – good god are their wraps humongous! Today I greatly enjoyed their Christo Avacado burger, which had swiss, guacamole, mayonnaise, and sautéed onions, along with their delicious sweet potato fries! Thanks Andre’s, for keepin’ it real.

I love this place. This is my go-to place every time I do not bring lunch to work. The food is cheap here and big portions. It’s usually two meals for me. All of the people that work here are extremely nice. It’s own my a family who are the sweetest couple. They actually start to recognize you and know you by face. Cannot go wrong with any choice. They’re all so good. I’ve tried a lot of their items. Chicken garlic club is great as well as the falafel with extra turnips. The frozen yogurt is also really good & worth getting after your meal.
