TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. Rebecca Decharme left me a message, then i called to leave a message and never heard back. So why bother to call me in the first place. Management must allow these rude individuals to continue working

Worse experience EVER!
They didn’t even bother to call or email me with feedback after the interview. I dropped everything to go to the interview the day they called. Interview was a big waste of time. I could have applied to 10 jobs and take a nap. The client was stuck in a bygone era with a lot of outdated rules (no cell phone, headphones etc). I would rather drink bleach than to work in that department. I was only excited at the prospect of working for a well-​known organization, even if it meant working with the dinosaurs in that particular department for a year or so. I was expecting a certain level of professionalism from AP. Stay away from them!

DO NOT WORK WITH THEM
The agency sought me out and claimed they had jobs for me and i was «a great fit». I showed up for an interview and my agent says there are two jobs right off the bat and can get me an interview or two next week.
What happened next? Nothing.
My agent (Will Reardon) said he would call me for interviews next week. Did he? Of course not. Did he return any of my calls? No. I left him messages for 2 weeks and nothing.
They SOUGHT ME OUT. I didn’t ask them to get me a job. Why would you seek someone out, promise them a job and then completely ignore them?
Hopefully this company goes to shit so these scumbag recruiters stop wasting people’s time.

My experience was with a temp to perm position through AP.
They seemed to me to be very organized, professional and upfront with all our interactions. They followed up and checked on me throughout my time as temp, and we’re eager to answer any questions I had about the process.
Pay was always on time and correct. They always went the extra mile to ensure my time cards were on time and accurate. If I had any issue, they seemed genuinely preoccupied and offered great solutions.
What more can I say? I got the job in the end (went perm), and am very grateful for their assistance.

They will low ball the crap out of you on your compensation. Compensation came up at a temp to perm position I was in between 4 other temps and myself, all in the same position and all from different agencies. They were making $ 13 and $ 14 per hour while AP was only paying me $ 11.50. Find another agency because they have no respect.

Management (Rob) is pushy & rude, staff is ignorant (Will) and I would not recommend this company to my worse enemy. They try to bully you into accepting jobs below your pay-​grade by saying things like «Its better than nothing» and «If you leave, you will not get unemployment»… I did get it BTW
I interviewed with one staff member early 2012, to only find out that she was moving out of state within the month and I was then handed over to Will. He barely ever called to check in once I got settled in to my «assignment». Once my assignment was coming to an end, all of a sudden he remembered me AKA he needed to figure out his commission.
I left AP and called to get a letter simply stating the last date of employment and NO ONE would return my calls or just send out a letter. SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!! They obviously hold grudges if you don’t take the BS jobs that they feel are «good enough» for you.
Good luck to anyone who wants to try them out though. After seeing this, they might try to get it together. Hopefully…

Stay away. My experience back in December of 2012 and their lack of professionalism is/​was appalling.
I dolled out the money to drive in to Boston for an interview only to meet with an arrogant staff member and deal with management that promised work they advertised but never deliver the goods.
Lack of return of email and voice mails from staff and pushy management leaves one wondering why they are allowed to use American in their name as the quality and workmanship is shabby! If I could give this company a zero I would.
There are better staffing agencies out there who understand followup and professional respect for new employees.

Man what can I say about this agency? Lets see to start the people are absolutely awesome! No I am not exaggerating by any means because it takes a lot for me to be completely happy with someone :) As a recent college graduate trying to find a full– time job in an extremely competitive job market with the economy being what it was I was very apprehensive about doing temp jobs. In the past I didn’t have very good experiences with recruiting agencies so I wasn’t really expecting much to be honest.
I did the initial meeting with Veronica and she was very attentive and informative about what she had available, but also made it very clear that I had to be honest and let her know what I wanted as well. That wasn’t very hard for me considering that I had an impending student loan that I was going to have to start paying for and needed an income badly.
After communicating back and forth for about a week she found me a job and I was working a 3 month gig and getting paid weekly (which I really enjoyed lol). Unfortuantly that gig ended early due to issues within the company that were unrelated to me. As upset as I was Veronica assured me that everything would be ok and work out. Thankfully it did and 2 weeks later I was actually working within the company at the front desk filling in for the receptioinist that left until their permanent hire started. Working with them and getting to know the people within this agency was very fun and rewarding and I really enjoyed myself because I got to see another side of the buisness.
That ended and a few days later I was put on to another position for a week working at a non profit agency in the heart of downtown crossing. I loved it and built up quite a reptuation. I ended up getting a permanent job with another company that I found on my own, but I will always be appreciative of the amazing people that work for this company and the hardwork that Veronica, Rick, Jason and everyone else put in to get my work career going

I worked with 2 recruiters in the summer of 2008 when I was a bright-​eyed and bushy-​tailed recent graduate student. April and Julie in their non-​profit practice were attentive to what I was looking for, and tried their best to match my interests and skills with what they currently had on tap. I always felt like they were doing a good job on my side, especially in handling negotiations with the companies. I didn’t end up in a position they found for me (I ended up taking an offer from a lead I had found myself), but I was more than satisfied with their efforts.
In a sea of uninterested recruiters just looking to fit a square peg into a round hole to make their commissions, these two definitely stood out. Neither is with American any longer, but I hope their current talent is as on point as these two!
