Amazing!!! All the way around, for food or drinks this place is a must! Everything from service to food and beverage was perfect! Our server was great! I can’t wait to return to try more items on the menu!

What a joke of a place. Food is fair for some dishes(burger) but it’s run terribly. Examples include: 1) having to wait 15 minutes upon arrival to even speak to a host or hostess. 2) unfriendly wait staff 3) $ 6 cup of regular coffee. $ 6 cup of OJ. Avoid, even for ritz guests. Market next to Equinox is far better option.

Stopped in at Artisan Bistro for a snack and a drink on a Saturday afternoon mostly because Avery Bar wasn’t open. Mussels were nicely prepared with a spicy broth. Drinks were pricey but adequately made. We were taken care of by Marvin, who was nice enough to start, but entirely dismissive when we suggested a minor modification to a drink. I know he’s the«expert,» but considering the number of better options around that do what Artisan Bistro tries to do, it’s enough to ensure that I’d never return. I now totally get why it’s mostly empty every time I walk by, the only patrons seem to be guests at the Ritz who don’t know better.

We might have had the experience mentioned in the comments. The five stars is not for the understaffed operation but a huge shout out for the manager, Jenna. She deserves an award for outstanding customer service and care. We had a reservation and the place was jammed. She set us up and went above and beyond to insure that our experience was first class: personal, efficient and thoughtful! Kudos and a huge thank you to Jenna. She deserves a promotion and a raise. She knows what she is doing! Thanks Jenna!

I was really surprised that a hotel as nice as the Ritz would have a restaurant with such crappy and slow service. I ate here for breakfast with my family and I would never go back. It is a small place but it took almost 15 minutes for us to even be acknowledged by a server. After order it took forever for our food to come out and to make matters worse my youngest’s food came out almost 10 minutes after ours. To the managers credit she did give my daughter something to munch on in the meantime. Breakfast was part of our package and even at free I would not eat here again.

This place is a disaster, and the Ritz Carlton should be embarrassed to be associated with it. The French fries came out lukewarm, the Caesar salad dressing was basic and pedantic, and the chicken on it was not grilled to order; it was made days earlier and(barely) microwaved. It was dry and almost inedible. And the prices are so high for the lack of quality it’s almost criminal in my opinion. Perhaps one could find a lazier kitchen staff, but I doubt it. Avoid this«artisan»(what a joke) bistro.

We had a very nice time at the Artisan Bistro before attending a 10pm show at the Wilbur. Our waiter was very attentive without being overbearing. My husband and I split a bottle of Pinot Noir, and the waiter was great about coming around every so often to refill our glasses. We ordered the charcuterie as an appetizer, which was very tasty but perhaps a little overpriced. We both had the Filet Mignon, which was delicious, well-seasoned and perfectly cooked. The sides of green beans and potato hash were also fantastic. We both enjoyed the classy but relaxed atmosphere. Overall, we had a really good experience.

Pre ballet dinner. Totally fun evening at this restaurant. From soup to nuts it was one fun experience. I never review places. But when I saw all the mediocre ratings felt I needed to add my opinion. Drinks get five stars. Service gets five stars Food get five stars. Tab gets five stars. Clear enough?

Have to admit — I agree with a lot of the other commentators. The food was FANTASTIC, but the service was horrible. Waited FOREVER for everything… drink, order, bill. Not to mention cold coffee, order mistakes, and the guy who wouldn’t let us take any Valentine’s candy even though our bill was over $ 300(did I mention overpriced)? Great meal, but certainly not the service you expect from a brand like Ritz Carlton.

Artisan Bistro was very mediocre, and it makes me question the quality of the Ritz Carlton brand. We went in for a late lunch, and as soon as we say down, we were ignored by the staff. Finally, a bus woman abruptly came by, did not look at us or say hello but quickly poured water and spilled water on our table without a care. After sitting there for 10 – 15 minutes without being acknowledged, I saw the waiter direct a hostess to our table to take our drink order. Finally, after ordering with our waiter(who may have been new? He seemed clueless), he eventually brought our food. I ordered a dinner portion of a Caesar Salad and he brought me the small portion, saying«they accidentely gave you the wrong size. If you still want the dinner portion, I can bring you a side portion.» Really? He noticed a blatant error but still served it to me? I just told him to take it back and bring me what I ordered. The Caesar salad was just as mediocre as the rest of the Artisan Bistro experience. In places it was over salted and over peppered in the most ridiculous way. And getting only three pieces of shrimp for ten extra dollars when I could have gotten a whole filet of Salmon for that same amount seems silly. The salad my mom ordered and the burger my husband ordered were just«ok». The ambiance of the bistro is pretty, but the mediocrity of the place makes it a loser. It is clearly terribly managed, and the Ritz should be ashamed of itself.

I’m surprised by the mediocre /negative reviews for this place. I mean, it’s a hotel restaurant, so I don’t think eccentricity or uniqueness is going to be its key selling point, but the food and service here were spot on. The staff is polite, more than happy to cater to whatever you need(like a tasty slab of meat to make your faux date not so crappy… more on that later:). Our table shared the lobster tacos, which were small, but delicious. Miniature finger-food sized tacos that pack a punch with flavor. And lobster in November? Hells to the yes on that one. I had the filet mignon, which was cooked to perfection, medium rare. Cut LIKEBUTTAH. It came with a side of bone marrow, which seemed odd at first, versus the usual veggies or some sort of mash as a side pairing, but was tasty in its fatty goodness. Our waiter laughed it off when our guy friend asked for a suggestion for a bottle of wine and he pointed out a $ 165 bottle. «These girls are pretty, but they’re not $ 165 pretty. Do you have anything more in the $ 48 range? I think they could be worth at least 48.» Ok, truth be told, our waiter probably thought we were on the most awkward double dates with the most unfiltered misogynistic guys(who in fact are just our friends who hold back nothing in public teasing), and worked some voodoo magic to make sure our filet mignons were the most incredible things we ever tasted, since we had to put up with these guys… ha. I’m pretty sure if we ever return, we’ll just be known as the«48». But all in all, a good time, solid food and service.

The only thing I had here was a bowl of clam chowder. It was horribly salty. Nothing else looked appealing on the menu to me at the time but I might give brunch a shot next time. The bartender was very attentive and knowledgeable on the wine selection though, that’s always a plus.

Artisan Bistro is located inside the Ritz Carlton Hotel near Chinatown. It’s a classy place to get drinks with friends. I’d recommend the Prosecco and Strawberry Basil Sparking Caipirinha. The Caipirinha consisted of Stoli strawberry, Lennon cachaca, muddled strawberries, basil, lime, simple syrup, and Prosecco. It was garnished with a strawberry. It wasn’t that sweet and fruity as I expected it to be!

The general atmosphere in this restaurant was good! Me and my two lovely friends had lunch here and we had a good time chatting and laughing:-) However, there were two severs were not very nice that they had no facial expression and worked very inefficient. Our main server was a nice Asian guy, his work was good! The food was a little disappointed. My pasta didn’t taste any special, it’s more like the pasta my school dinning hall normally cooks. My two friends got lobster roll and Chicken sandwich, they thought the food was just okay but not too great. We had the Artisan Sampling for desert but the size was very tiny and it tasted just okay. Each of us spent about $ 38 plus the tips, which we thought were a little bit pricey according to its so so customer service and average food quality. Despite the nice environment this restaurant creates, I won’t recommend it to anyone.

I took my cousin here for brunch before seeing the Lion King at the Opera House and we both thought it was fantastic! She got the nutella crepes and I got the maple walunt waffle. The food was solid. I didn’t ooo and ahh over it, but I definitely enjoyed it. The service was quick and proficient. They had an adorable Bloody Mary bar as well where you could serve yourself. I’d definitely go back if I was in the theater district again.

We wanted to go to the Avery Bar next door, but it was closed and did not open until 5:00pn so we ended up here. Sat at the bar and had good service. They can make really good strong drinks — but expensive. I paid $ 85 for 5 drinks.

Dine Out Boston(previously known as Restaurant Week) offered me the opportunity to lunch on 3 courses at Artisan Bistro for $ 20 one weekday afternoon. I was graciously greeted upon entering and seated at one of the short booths by the bar, which was separated by a thick divider wall that was overhead once I was seated. The room was quite spacious with high ceilings. Though there was a daintily dressed pre-schooler with each of the three parties seated across the way by the window, I heard them naught — not sure if it was kudos to the children’s behaviour and upbringing, or the design and decoration of the space, but I either way, it made for a more leisurely an afternoon’s break. At each table sat a disk of salted softened butter, just waiting to be spread on the basket of warm soft crusty bread which was brought out to me. A satisfactory beginning. For my three courses, I selected: . Lobster Tacos, mini tacos, mango-sweet chili, guacamole(normally 3 for $ 15) . Atlantic Salmon, Braised red cabbage, quinoa pilaf, shallot jam $ 24 . Pineapple Spice Bread Pudding, Vanilla Gelato (Frangelico Blueberry Bread Pudding on their lunch time menu is priced at $ 9) The tacos arrived two to the plate and were a fresh and refreshing treat to which the contrast of the crisp thick nature of the shells only added to the experience. The salmon was crusty on the surface and tender yet fully cooked on the inside. The quinoa pilaf bedding was a bit bland and I wish there was more of the yummy flavorful shallot jam that was used as a garnish topping the fillet. With this particular set of accessories, I probably wouldn’t recommend their salmon entrée. The bread pudding arrived all hot and moist in a canning jar with a scoop of cool melting vanilla gelato on top. The temperature contrast was great — though unfortunately I still had some bread pudding left by the time I had consumed the last of the gelato. Now about service. First, the interaction with the server was fine. However, a few times when he visually checked on his tables, I ended up somehow being overlooked. So I was sitting there waiting with half my remaining entrée on the plate ready to be wrapped up for quite a bit longer than I was comfortable with. And you know how in some places, your dish would be set before you with a verbal caution to be careful because the plate was hot? It didn’t happen here, but both my entrée and my dessert were served on/in vessels that deserved such a warning. As with many dining establishments located in a hotel, the bathroom is out off the Ritz Carlton hotel lobby. On weekdays, they offer a $ 22 Power Through Lunch Menu for your choice of 4 entrees and a starter soup or salad: Fish and Chips, Sliders, Classic Club, Vegetable Pita, all served with french fries, and either a soup, garden salad or caesar salad. Their garden salads aren’t the run of the mill cucumber and tomato sort, but rather come with pickled squash, sweet potato chips, dried cranberries, Manchego, walnut vinaigrette $ 12. So perhaps I’ll come back to try that along with either the Fish & Chips $ 23 or the Vegetable Pita $ 16 some week day that I’m feeling leisurely.

Note: This review is just for the bar. Don’t waste your time here. On a slow day(Christmas) with a near-empty bar, it took ten minutes for us to get the bartender’s attention to ask for a wine list, even though he chit-chatted with other people at the bar. He even seemed annoyed that we were asking for the drink menu. It took us another five minutes of zero service and our bartender chit-chatting to others to decide that this place was not worth waiting for. We decided to grab our stuff and move to the Avery Bar inside the hotel, where we were warmly greeted by the bartender before we even took our seats. So unless you want me to yell across the scantily-filled bar, Artisan Bistro provides completely unacceptable service, especially at the Ritz — which claims on its website to want to create an unforgettable experience. Well, they didn’t fail at that. I will never forget my terrible experience here.

Artisan Bistro is part of the Ritz Carlton Hotel. This is a really nice restaurant for brunch. I really like the atmosphere of this place. I like the peaceful setting, the high ceiling and the simple décor. I love the crab cake eggs benedict here. The eggs are poached perfectly and the hollandaise sauce is delicious. The crab cake is not filled with batter like other places. There are actually big chunks of crab meat! There are some fingerling potatoes and asparagus on the side. It is a perfect meal for brunch! I also tried the french toast here before. It is also really delicious. I love the soft brioche bread that they use and the fruits that comes with the french toast. I also think the small individual jam, ketchup, tabasco, and maple syrup jars are really cute! This way you know that the condiments have not been sitting there for a long time and everything is new at the time you use it! The service here is excellent. The servers that I have encountered were all attentive. They always made sure that my coffee and juice were filled. The hostesses were also courteous. I really enjoy having brunch here!
