Back Bay Events Center

I’ve been to two, count em, two events at this events center. Ya KNow what. Its pretty alright. Now its no Somerville Armory. But it has bathrooms, a coat check, if you are working the event there is a nice space for staff to hang out. Overall I would say this is a pretty OK to hold an event.

Came for the Girl Scout Cookie Creations event which was downstairs and fun but… where are the trash cans? Also, are those plastic made to look like metal spoons and forks recyclable? There was a lot of them. I’m sure the team in charge of the Girl Scout Cookie Creations event made all the decisions, but the Events Center should have pushed for trash cans at least (and the recycling if everything wasn’t).
Self check coat check? Never seen it before, not a fan.

I just attended an event called the Stiletto Film Festival. It was an all day/​night film festival. It was held downstairs in a room with lots of chairs and a projector and screen. The place was absolutely immaculate. The rest rooms were so clean. The staff was so nice and we had a blast. The Event center is so close to so many restaurants, too, When it was time to break for intermission for dinner it was very easy to find a nearby restaurant. Also, they had a snack bar that had drinks and candy that was very cheap. I thought that was amazing! I would definitely be happy to go back here!

The Back Bay Event Center staff is superb! My company recently held an all day, open conference in Boston and ended up renting two rooms at the Back Bay Event Center. The staff was great! Cords, audio, parking validation, catering and all other logistics were taken care of extremely well and the day ran smoothly.
Minor glitches were not brought to anyone’s attention unnecessarily. Everything we specified in our contract from wi-​fi access to turkey and vegetable wraps were spot on. Although this venue was a little pricey than others we had looked into you can easily understand why you pay a premium to work with people that truly understand how to put on events.
If you are planning an event in Boston anytime soon this is a fantastic location and you should try to work with the Manager, David (so great and professional). The only reason I had to leave off the last star was due to a few hidden cost within our contract such as a clean-​up fee and extra service fees. Just be thorough and ask about the total amount. Great place for seminars, banquets, and many other events.
