I need to thank Banditos Misteriosos for a truly fantastic afternoon. The scavenger hunt they organized for today made for one of the best ways possible to spend an absolutely gorgeous day in Boston. My friends and I were sent all over the city, forced to speak to strangers, perform ridiculous dance moves, and sing silly songs. The Banditos are right: Boston really is a playground; how wonderful of these mysterious playmates to create such wonderful(FREE!) activities for the city’s inhabitants.

Why Banditos Rocks??? 1. water guns 2.Robots from the Future blowing peace bubbles 3. Revolutionary War it was just another day in the world of Banditos Misteriosos. I went with two friends to participate in their Revolutionary War Reenactment on the Esplanade. We all were part of the Red Coats team. This event was clearly one of the most fun times I have had in my four years in Boston.

These guys are great. Their scavenger hunt on Saturday was exactly the kind of fun activity my weekends sorely lack most of the time. Creative and a total blast for all involved! I look forward to more from this merry band.

Banditos Misteriosos is exactly what Boston needs. Just when I was starting to think this city couldn’t handle me, I discovered this crew of fellow merry pranksters, and I breathed a sigh of relief. Personality! Spontaneity! Obscurity! This new organization is self-described as «an organization composed of just-everyday-people-ready-for-fun who are dedicated to bringing Boston alive with a slew of activities that are free, open to everybody and most importantly, just a little bit out of the ordinary.» Rad! So far they’ve held 2 events, both successfully off-the-wall and fun as hell. First, in December they held the Flash Mob Pillow Fight in the Boston Common on a snowy Saturday afternoon. There was a great turn out and everyone had a blast. Then in February, they hosted the First Annual Boston Silent Dance Experiment. Hundreds of people and their MP3 players showed up to the Sam Adams statue in Faneuil Hall, all with a pre-downloaded song from the Banditos website, and did a silent, synchronized dance, much to the surprise of passers-by… the looks on their faces were priceless! FUN! I can’t say it enough. This is what life is all about. Weird, uninhibited, spontaneous fun… Just because! Banditos, welcome to Boston. I’ll be attending many more of your rad events, and encourage all the rest of you fun loving freaks out there to do the same.
