I stopped by for an iced, soy latte yesterday when I just needed to get out of the office for a bit. The coffee was excellent, very smooth. No one likes the $ 4+ price tag, but this one might have been worth it.

We had a great brunch of omelet-on-bagels at this café. The staff is friendly and the vibe is kind of Central Perk.

Awesome sandwich and salads. Always pleasant counter staff. I have not had a bad lunch yet. Prices are so reasonable and great coffee drinks to help pick you up. Must try !!!

Cozy little breakfast spot with very reasonably priced and yummy omelets. Didn’t order coffee or tea but they seemed to have a big selection if that’s your thing. Big selection of yummy looking pastries on the counter.

This please has long been a staple in my weekend coffee rotation. If you’re looking for a quaint coffee shop that won’t get overly crowded and has delicious breakfast & lunch sandwiches. This spot is for you. Let me lay out the pros and cons for you: Pros: Good atmosphere, can always get a seat, The Merinda Sandwich(My favorite breakfast), California Tuna(My favorite for lunch), Newspapers everywhere, Cons: No Wi-Fi, Closed Sunday, Breakfast is only served until 11 on weekdays and noon on Saturday, cold sandwiches are below average, coffee is only average Hope this helps! I usually come once a month if I don’t need Wi-Fi

OHMYGOD I LOVETHISPLACE Minus one sassy staff member, the others are Great(especially the owner Jordan and the lovely server, lovingly named«T»). Their omelette specials are not to be missed. just a really cool little café that makes you feel right at home, and not the chaos(or prices) of Flour.

If you’re ordering, make sure it’s from the girl rather than the gray haired man at the counter. He’s rude, doesn’t smile and gives off the vibe that he’d rather be anywhere than here. I waited over 10 mins for my sandwich to come out and it wasn’t even busy. It seemed like they put the«regulars» food order in higher priority than mine. I finally got my sandwich, took it back to the office and realized a couple bites in that it had no avocado. I took it back and they apologized and tossed some avocado on top(not offering to remake the sandwich). The girl did offer me a complimentary baked good, so thank you for that, but overall disappointed. Just back in April they served me a black burnt English muffin. I wished they cared more about the food they’re putting out, especially at the price they charge.

Wandering the South End we found the best coffee in Boston. Came back the next day for breakfast and discovered they have the best bagels also. Great friendly service

Very nice local breakfast location. If you love scrambled eggs and beagles — this is the place to go. For me the best hot latte in the city!

Came for a breakfast while staying in the area for a business trip. Service was okay, not the friendliest but not rude by any means. Ordered an egg white omelette and everything was made as requested. The omelette was quite good and not too oily(which I find is often the case). The iced coffee was also quite good. The only snafu: my order was given to someone else and they had to make me another one. They handled it well though and my order was out quickly.

Endroit sympa, joliment vieillot. Ambiance de quartier, avec petits vieux qui font la revue de presse au p’tit déj. Patron moyennement aimable.

3.5 stars rounded down to 3 Very cute café with nice décor. Menu is affordable and offers a lot of different options I ordered an omelette which came with an English muffin. Unfortunately the English muffin was toasted for a bit too long and was far crispier than an English muffin should be. The omelette was good, but I wasn’t particularly full after my meal Would likely come back again, though this is really meant for a light breakfast in my mind

Bön américain breakfast près de 40 Berkeley Street(hôtel auberge de jeunesse) vu qu’il n’y a pas de petit-déjeuner à l’auberge.

Had the tuna melt on 7 grain bread. First off, love that I could get it on 7 grain! Second, the sandwich itself was amazing. However, I’m giving three stars because from where we were sitting(group of 5) we could CLEARLY hear the wait staff talking trash about us… Not cool.

It’s cute, quaint and has a nice ambience. Place was nearly packed when I went, the staff is nice and efficient, and the food is good in quality and portions but rather plain– the menu is full of items you could make yourself at home, and better. Only real downside: no wifi. I don’t understand why.

This is the quintessential neighborhood coffee shop but so much more. I’m a virgin here just looking for a warm coffee and bite to eat in the south end. I usually run to Starbucks and luckily there was none around. The coffee was smooth, rich, and bold — just how I like it. I could sit here all day and drink it. Had the smoked salmon and scrambled egg on a bagel — real good but could have use a little cream cheese to offsite the dryness of the toasted bagel. What I really love about this place is the staff and ambience. They greeted everyone by their first name and if they didn’t know the name — gave a warm good morning. You can tell immediately people come back repeated. The inside is cozy, casual, and just how a coffee shop should be. My only complaint is: they are closed on Sunday. But he’ll — everyone deserves time off.

I was walking around back bay and south end, looking for new cafes to try out and came across here. This place is cute, but not my taste. I’ve ordered a cup of drip coffee and their tomato avocado melt on a French baguette. The sandwich was good, but something you can easily make at home. The coffee, on the other hand, was not good. It tasted like it’s been sitting in the pot for hours. I don’t know if I’ll come back to this place again. Mainly because there’s no wifi and the coffee was terrible.

I visited Berkeley Perk Café on a recent trip to Boston. It was a rainy cold morning and we were just looking for a close place for breakfast that had solid Unilocal reviews. It’s a quaint little café with a counter to order at. The menu is great but not completely well rounded for breakfast. Many different breakfast sandwiches. I had an egg white omelet with bacon and avocado. It was tasty but nothing to write home about. My boyfriend had a breakfast sandwich on a bagel that looked delicious. The prices were very reasonable which was nice to see. I think I would have preferred having lunch there after taking a look at their lunch menu. But… I must say that the service was wonderful! Everyone was so friendly, said hi right when we walked inside, they were very personable and helpful. It seemed like the neighborhood place that people visited every weekend. If you want a quick, laid back meal — visit Berkeley. If you want a fancy and unique breakfast/brunch experience — try somewhere else

This is our go to spot for savory, «healthy», breakfast sandwiches! The bagels/breads are locally purchased from Iggy’s bread in Cambridge, so they are fresh and have the right amount of chew. The bacon, egg, & cheese bagel sandwich is so good! The bacon is fairly lean and cooked to a nice crisp. The coffee is strong and has bold flavor, and to top it off, the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Lived in the neighborhood for a good number of years and I’ve only recently gave this place a try. Wow, I’ve missed a lot. I got the Western omelet that came with 2 slices of wheat bread and a cup of coffee all for $ 5.95. Each bite was filled with stuffings, but the eggs could’ve been a little more fluffy. I even came back a few days later to try their lunch sandwiches. I got the Turkey cobb sandwich, which was also very filling. The turkey slices were thick unlike others I’ve had before. The bleu cheese was very pungent for me, but overall it was a good sandwich.
