I commend them for their creative sauce names«awesome 8» and«not so special» but how does a burger place in 2016 only offer chicken or beef patties?! What about a turkey or vegetarian option? It’s bizarre to me that they have 5 different types of bread but not anything vegan friendly I do appreciate the oyster mushroom toppings tho and I like how they update their menu boards digitally to reflect what’s not available

I’m going to try other patty types when I go in. So the Sous-vide cooking style’s not something I would consider my favorite for a burger patty, but even then it was pretty good. Fresh ingredients definitely go onto the burger. Great fries, then and crispy. They leverage a company’s mixing packets to get those flavors into the fries.

Went back again and updating my review to a 5 — had a long discussion with the owner about the lack of a veggie patty option and not only did he explain why they didn’t have a veggie option yet(they would rather it take longer to find the best tasting patty) but also asked for my opinion. Also the owner made my burger, in a Santa hat, with a smile(as they were about to close in 10 minutes) And the burger was yet again, delicious :) buffalo fries = * * * * *

The burgers here are really top notch. Just the right serving size if you get the double patty in my opinion and all the toppings are fresh. Everybody there is super friendly, too. While I was eating, the owner sat down to have a chat with me. When does that happen? Great customer service all around.

I feel like so often companies get news when something goes wrong, but I wanted to let you know everything went right! I ordered online a burger and fries. This is my first time eating here, and they were delicious! I ordered a skinny bun, but you were out and I was promptly called and asked what replacement I would like. The food was to my apartment in under 15 minutes. It was a great experience and I’ll be ordering again! (Way faster and better then the Chinese I usually order) I sent also sent an email to the company to give them my positive feedback, and within a few hours I had an email back thanking me. It is truly nice to spend your money on a company that appreciates it.

My boyfriend and I went to Beta Burger for dinner and as we’d been hearing great things we were excited to finally make it there. We both loved everything! He got the alpha burger and Sour Cream & Onion fries, while I went for a build my own experience and the Garlic Parmesan fries. Both of us thought our meal was the better of the two, so two very happy customers. Their burgers are great as they aren’t greasy at all, but are still moist. I agree with what another reviewer said — it fills you up but doesn’t feel too heavy. Since I’m a toppings person, I enjoyed being able to build my own and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what they add to the menu as they continue to evolve. Fries are delicious, and you get a good amount in an order. The one patty was perfect for me. Also, the staff is very friendly. They greeted us when we walked in and asked right away if it was our first time. When we said yes, explained the menu and the process and let us take our time to review and pick.

Easily one of the best burgers in all of Boston and certainly the only one where your entire meal is under $ 10. The sleek design and cool ambience beats that of every other fast casual dinning spot I have been to. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful — ask them to make your their favorite burger and you will be in for a treat!

Went with a friend to get something to hold us over until dinner. Since it was a snack we got a single patty burger(only $ 3 yay!) and some fries. The fries were good and the portion was huge. The burger tasted great although my friend didn’t like it because it seemed like they put steak sauce on it. Antoinette the cashier was awesome, helpful, and personable. She made our visit 10x better than it would have been without her. Overall we liked it and will be back!

With the burger market being so saturated, there are far too many sub-par burger shops around claiming to have the best burgers around. Unfortunately, only one can be the best, so you can deduce all but one are borderline pathologic liars. Beta burger on the other hand doesn’t claim to be the best. In fact, they claim their burger to be in ‘beta’ because they are constantly improving their methodology. Or at least this is my theory… With all jokes aside, this place most certainly has one of the juiciest burgers around without the ‘runniness’ associated with most ‘juicy’ burgers. The burger was good. Not the best, but again, it is a new business so I am sure they will improve constantly. My favorite part about this place were the fries. They give you a bag of fries with a seasoning to shake the fries with. I got salt and vinegar and boy they were delicious. I really wish I could show you pictures of my food but my hunger got the best of me and the best I would have been able to scrap together for a photo were couple pieces of fries and a piece of lettuce that fell off the burger while I was eating it. P. S. you can ‘hack’ the menu, be sure to ask the owner about that ;)

A friend and I decided to try out the burgers from Beta Burger today with great anticipation. The burger exceeded my expectations! Antionette was super friendly and took great care of us. She offered us a free fry sample, and these fries are awesome! You can put a flavor seasoning on the fries for a taste experience like no other! The burger was delicious and cooked perfectly. I will definitely be frequenting Beta Burger for lunch!

Mediocre burger, good fries. Burger was small for the price and not that tasty. I don’t get the rave reviews at all.

Ever since this place opened, we’ve been really excited to make it here to try out the burgers since there’s very few, if any, that cook the burgers the way they do. As recommended in another review, we got a double patty which I would say was good advice. The burger was pretty good with very little grease and due to that, I actually felt good after finishing it and didn’t feel lethargic, which can happen with other burger places so that was huge, especially for folks looking to eat and still want to continue on with their day. The fries were a huge hit with the wife and daughter, which were flavored with garlic parmesan. It was so good we actually got another batch of fries to go, this time with sour cream and onion. Too bad we didn’t live in the area but if we find ourselves in the area and craving a burger, we know our spot. If this is yours for a quick burger, raise your soda cups; If not, raise your standards. B Beta!

The staff were kind and helpful, but the burger was not that impressive. It was very thin. The roll seemed rather generic, and everything(fried onions, mushrooms and cheese) was served cold. The french fries were soft and sort of mushy. I like them like that, but others might not. Even though we were the only people there, due to the oven fans? the whole place was very loud, and we had to yell to place our order.

No veggie burger at all? This is 2015 folks… I know you specialize in meat but it’s not that hard to add a decent veggie burger with a delicious bun and good toppings!

A very interesting concept behind this place. The owner explained to us that by using something called a sous-vide, they can cook 60 burgers per sous-vide, at about an hour each, and it allows them to cook the burger through without overcooking the outside. Then they grill it up real quick when someone orders one and voila! Instant burger, minus the wait time. Love the concept! And it seems to be working very well. The burger was delicious and I loved not waiting. A+ to whoever thought up that concept. Basic toppings are included in the price with extras such as mushrooms and onions being just a little extra. I would HIGHLY recommend going for the double patty. While the burger was good with just one, it’s fairly thin. By doubling up, you get flavor as well as bite amount. Make sure you have some napkins available for the juicy goodness that’ll be dripping out. Burger was flavorful, bun was good, and I had the house made chips which were perfectly crispy. I went back for seconds on all the above! They also have a chicken sandwich. It was good, but not as good as the burger(sue me, I’m a burger fan!). Seating up front is rather limited, however if you look around the back, there are stairs that lead to a downstairs seating area where there are more tables. Plenty of space. I wish they had some more interesting sauce options. They have all the regulars but nothing out of the ordinary.

The cooking methodology sounds interesting: sous vide with a sear at the end? Sure. I’ve eaten food prepared this way before and it’s a healthier option than cooking on the griddle. If the burger size was thicker I’d have a better assessment for you. The patty was as flat as a pancake. I’m talking same size as two slices of thick cheese — totally not what comes to mind when going out for burgers! And plenty of places make juicy burgers on the grill — maybe the method has the advantage of being slightly healthier. On my burger: Cheddar Lettuce, tomato, onion Pickles(they come sweet) Cole slaw — this was bangin! Crisp and sauced just right — this should come as a side! «Not so special» sauce Overall, the burger could use a lot of work. Was there a burger in my cheese sandwich? Taste: a whole lot of cheese that wasn’t even melted. The separate components like the sweet pickles and slaw also came out far stronger than the patty and sauce, which were completely indistinguishable. Truthfully, wouldn’t go out of my way for a burger like that, but maybe there’s room for improvement. Kettle cooked chips were solid — can’t go wrong! And the portions were more than generous and distributed in wax paper bags. I liked. Sauce options looked good. They had just the right amount of options: the usuals like ketchup and mustard and some more interesting stuff like steak sauce and«not so special» sauce. The latter was hidden because of my awesome slaw! A better sauce probably would have been bbq or steak sauce to accompany my burger(I’m thinkin pulled pork style — why didn’t I think of that before?!). For the not so special sauce, the slaw masks it too much. Probably(hopefully) to come: condiments station and more seating upstairs. Future diners — there’s seating downstairs! The staff were super friendly all around and very warm and welcoming, which needs to be noted because I’ve been to soft opens where they just stand around! Also major props to the owner for inviting a homeless woman in for a meal: D 2.5 stars. This place has a lot of potential and I’m interested to see how it turns out! Would come back to try those different sauces!

Love it! High quality burger, nice and thin patty & quality ingredients. I’m excited to see this place grow. Just went to their soft opening and the place was packed already! Eagerly awaiting a veggie burger!
