Lemonade??? More like Water With a hint of lemon. For $ 3.50 you should at least use one whole lemon not half miss! I paid with a 20 dollar bill, server got upset because she didn’t have any change.

Babysitter needed a drink. Toddler was whining, baby was crying, my face was melting onto the burning hot pavement while the stroller was being pushed all over creation. Basically, myself and two kids were all about to die right next to the carousel. until we found refuge. And refuge comes in the form of the Boston Common Lemonade Cart. Hallelujah! It’s big. It’s expensive. But it’s ooooooohhhh so worth it. For a solid 5 minutes, the kiddies were completely silent and passing the cup(the size of their entire body) to each other happily until we got home. Later on, the 4 year old finds the old cup of lemonade and starts squeezing the lemon until«every last bit is gone, because it’s just so good!» Kid approved. Babysitter approved. We all win.

After a few really confusing moments on the first two days of my Australian friend’s visit I realized she didn’t know what lemonade was. I could not believe that a country known for it’s sunshine didn’t have lemonade! FYI — they call«Sprite» «lemonade». As we were walking through the Common on a particularly warm day I looked up and saw a lemonade stand. Conversation went as follows: me: Oh look, there’s REAL lemonade her: You know, we never understood all these«lemonade stands» Americans set up. I couldn’t really understand why people would walk up to kids with bottles of pop at a table me: You have to try it. It’s very refreshing. her: Well what’s in it? me: Lemons, ice water, and sugar her: That sounds quite gross [I promise this conversation is much better when you hear her half with an Australian accent. The words«bottle» and«quite» are probably my favorite. Plus their inflection with«well» is awesome] After some pleading, I popped her«American lemonade» cherry right in the middle of the Common(side note: should that not make me want cherry lemonade? because it does). As she looked at me and said«this is quite nice» and reflected that it was«perfectly sweet», I knew I had done her well. We both strolled along with our big, cold lemonade in hand and grins on our faces. Yes, $ 4 is a bit much and yes, they do use a bit too much sugar. But priceless childhood nostalgia should always be covered in sugar.

Had this on an extremely warm summer day walking around Boston Commons. Extremely thirst quenching and cooling. It’s located right near the Park St. T-station. The lemonade is very well prepared. A little too much sugar imho.

On a super-steamy, hot summer day, seeing this cart was like an oasis of awesome. It’s big, it’s cold, it’s lemonade. And it totally hit the spot.

Nothing, I repeat nothing, is better than an ice-cold, fresh-squeezed lemonade in the boiling summer sun. Walking around Boston Common or the garden, you’ll find this convenient cart parked near the corner of Charles Street and Boylston, or up a little further, closer to the Parkman Bandstand. Though $ 4 might at first seem to be a little steep for a large lemonade, there ain’t nothing in there but pure lemon juice, ice and sugar. Perfect. Summer. Sipping.
