Had it last night, craving it this morning! Much better than funnel cake in that it is soft and doughy in the center

Nice guy who takes cards; original for $ 5 was a more satisfying version of the funnel cake of our youth.

5 stars for sure! Just stopped over for an afternoon pick me up and couldn’t be happier! I got the traditional, full of lots of butter, cinnamon, and sugar. The man who was working today couldn’t be nicer and even wrapped my fried dough in a nice foil package so that I could take it back to work on this windy day. I take the train to work, so I rarely carry cash on me(otherwise I would have for sure left a tip!). Thanks again for the great service and yummy treat. Gotta go run the treadmill into next Tuesday!

Daddy’s Fried Dough is the best! Perfectly hot and crispy, with ample cinnamon, powdered sugar, and the fruit and Boston Crème toppings are amazing too. Fast, friendly service from one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. You can find Daddy’s right outside Park Street Station on Tremont Street. Well worth a stop! Who’s your daddy?

Yep! Fried dough anytime of the year! He is located right next to the station exit and has fast fast service! What I love about his fried dough is that it is still good when it is cold! 5 dollars?!! Okay!!!

Daddy’s should be the official ambassador of Boston. Fried to order dough from one of the warmest and friendliest guys in Boston. Really, make the trip, your stomach will thank you.

Ordered the Boston Cream fried dough. It was excellent, and the beautiful park to sit and enjoy it in made it even better.

After seeing on-line that Daddy’s Fried Dough had been featured on the Food Network Channel, I was excited to give it a try. The handsome young man who was manning the cart was the son of the owner. He was friendly and talkative as my daughters and I asked him questions while he cooked our dough. We ordered the Boston Cream Pie flavor and it did not disappoint. The dough was cooked to a perfectly golden brown, it was tender and not overly greasy. I would love to give them a 5 star review, but I felt the dough could have used just a touch more salt, then it would have been perfect. If I’m ever back in Boston I will definitely go back and get more Daddy’s Fried Dough!

Best place for fried dough in Boston. Soft and fluffy, and you can have fruit toppings on it! Best part is I love to weigh it down with sugar and cinnamon. Only knock on it, its fried dough cannot be any healthier lol.

Daddy’s Fried Dough won’t let you down. My friend was denied of fried dough for one year. «For tourists. Gross. It’s just a street vendor. You don’t want that,» our friend and host in Boston told him a year ago. Like churros and funnel cake, fried dough is not something easily forgotten. It’s the stuff memories are made of. For a whole year, my friend felt deprived of trying this fried dough and the memory of it’s exact location haunted him as we approached that part of the park. «Where is it? I think he’s around the corner,» he said. Sure enough, there was Daddy’s Fried Dough right beside the T stop in Boston Commons. «Fried Dough!!!» I yelled. I had no idea what it was, only that it must be magical since my friend wanted it so bad, had to have it. Also we like to make fun of each other. Not just for tourists, Daddy’s Fried Dough is a great snack in general. It’s a guilty pleasure full of outdoor fun. You will find that fried dough is pretty indulgent, rich, unhealthy, and good for you in every way. We chose the Boston cream with chocolate, powdered sugar, and cinnamon. God was it messy. Seven of us tore it apart and loved every bit of it. How could our friend deprive our other friend of such a treat? That’s just wrong. We are currently debating this friendship. Daddy’s Fried Dough comes in a variety of flavors but Boston cream all the way. Make sure you grab a stack of extra napkins because you sure will need it. If you are trying to impress, this is not date food.

I know some people don’t like that expression«it is what it is» but that really applies to this awesome fried dough stand. Ok, maybe it IS what it IS(fried dough) except that it’s executed really, really goddamn well. Perfect preparation aka the kind of chewiness/powdered sugar/piping hotness you expect from a glorified piece of yeast dough lardiness. If you’ve had bad fried dough, you know what a disappointment it can be. Daddy’s DELIVERS the goods.

Can’t top a tasty fried dough, oh wait yes you can with Boston Cream or one of the fancy fruits. I just went for the powdered sugar. This is a hot melt in your mouth treat, served up with a smile. This is just the right snack to give you some carbs to walk around all the tourist sites, or if you’re a local go back to your office without experiencing that afternoon brain drain. One of these about 3 p.m., would be very helpful at work. I’m shocked that this guy only has a handful of reviews, get busy people this is happy food.

Sometimes I don’t like to admit when I splurge on an afternoon snack on my lunch break– especially when it involves a pool of boiling oil, a bucket of dough and all you can eat powdered sugar. I kept with the basics– no fancy fruit spreads or toppings– fried dough and powdered sugar. It hit me right in the heart on a perfect, sunny Friday afternoon. I even went back for a few more shakes of sugar before returning to work with white powder stains on my skirt and blouse. So get some cash out and splurge every once in a while– it may require an extra hour at the gym, but it will definitely be worth it!

Fried dough vendor. I like you. Very much. I also ran into this trolley/vendor/stand upon starting the Freedom Trail walk. and it’s just to the east of Boston Common. Who can resist the line-up of fried dough that is displayed on the little counter? Powdered sugar, blackberry(or was it blueberry?), apple, strawberry(or was it cherry?), and the mack daddy of them all: Boston cream pie. Yes sir, that’s the one I’ll have. Thank you very much. I think it was about $ 5, but it’s a giant piece that I shared. and it was plenty. I like donuts, but this is so much better! It’s like a big, flat, puffy piece of sweet, slightly chewy bread(not greasy like a donut, really). and then add the custard and chocolate topping(aka Boston cream pie version) on top. and you can start feeling your eyes roll to the back of your head in pure delight. I think they call these Beaver Tails in Canada, right? Never had, so I don’t know. Either way, get one on the beginning of your treck through Freedom Trail. You’ll burn it all off by the time you get to North End for some authentic Italian food. :) The vendor guy was also a hoot! The Boston attitude just strikes my fancy. They’re friendly, but also very non-BS’y. :) You know what you want? They’ll gladly get it for you, know you’ll enjoy it, and then you better leave… haha.

After sampling some disappointing, thin, hard examples of the deep-frying craft at Weirs Beach, my boys and I had only one day to find some proper fried dough before returning to California, the land of greasy funnel cakes. Were we going to have to drive all the way to Hampton Beach? Luckily we found Daddy’s stand on Unilocal and took the Red Line to Park Street just to check it out. We took ours with cinnamon sugar only, and it was perfect. Warm, soft, light, not greasy, and a taste that will never fail to transport me back to the beach in 1980s New Hampshire. We need one outside the Caltrain station in San Fran.

For what it is – a fried dough stand outside Park Street station — it is very, very good. You know you probably shouldn’t, but there’s something irresistible about strolling around Boston Common on a sunny weekend with an oversized square of Daddy’s glistening, steaming deep-fried dough($ 4). This sweet, unhealthy confection may just evoke tender memories of the county fairs, carnivals, amusement parks, and church festivals of your youth. For an extra dollar, the hardworking proprietor, who’s there barking his wares to passing tourists every day, will add a dollop of various pie fillings, which include blueberry, apple, cherry, and custard with chocolate syrup. These are unremarkable, and some(like the«Boston crème pie») are terrible: skip them. Instead, stick to the classic preparation, sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon until you say«When.» You’ll want to walk this snack off(or perhaps sleep it off) soon after, but it’s tough to feel too guilty about such a simple, nostalgic pleasure.

It’s kind of yum, but then kind of not. We got the Boston Cream flavored fried dough. It had a slab of Boston cream on top with a swiggle of chocolate sauce across it. The cream was fine. The chocolate sauce was Hershey’s, I think. The fried dough tasted kind of bland, but I do love the idea of a gigantic piece of fried carb. The man was nice. Very friendly and loud. Now, I love my high calorie no-nutritional content fried stuff, but this wasn’t quite worth all that. I know, right? What am I, a health freak? Naw, I just like my fatty foods to actually taste good. 2.5 stars for Daddy.

This Fried dough cart is right outside Park Street Station. The dough is light and fluffy and with powdered sugar and cinnamon. The dough is a secret recipe sold by the craziest guy I have ever seen. A bald giant named Rockin Rob who said, «We’re known coast to coast like buttered toast, he don’t mean to boast but he’s the most!» I did ten sit ups on the ground right there and ordered two. Then I sat on the wall with a friend and watched the freak of the week(not Rob) talk to himself about alien abductions while light sugary goodness filled my empty belly.
