I came to Bow and Arrow on a whim as I needed an eyebrow wax before a date, they had an opening, and it was just up the street from where I worked. Jill was super welcoming as soon as I walked in and treated me like she’d known me for a long time. Not only do my eyebrows look fabulous after every wax, but it is also somehow less painful compared to other places I’ve been. It also helps that she talks to you the whole time, takes your mind off of it. I no longer work right down the street, but I will go out of my way to go back whenever I need an eyebrow wax. This is one of those reviews when 6 stars would come in handy, HIGHLY recommend.

I was looking for change in my hair, so I was researching hair salons around boston and stumbled upon Bow and Arrow! I booked an appointment with Kellyn and the whole experience was awesome! I’ve never met someone more passionate and excited about hair. Kellyn not only gave me perfect balayage, natural highlights but educated me on my hair and different hair products (but was so not pushy at all about buying anything). I will definitely go back to Bow and Arrow, I want to try a facial there too!

I’m so glad I found Bow & Arrow. Seems like every time I find the perfect brow-​girl, they end up moving to a different location, or something, and I have to start from square one all over again. I stumbled upon this place recently and went for a wax — now, I’m hooked! Thanks to Jill for being so personable and friendly (and great at what she does), I don’t have to stress about where my next brow wax is going to be. Brows are perfect and I can walk here (and it’s a super cute space). Love.
I’ll be booking a facial here ASAP as well. Jill gave me some fantastic samples of Dermalogica product as well. Can’t wait to go back!

I started seeing Jill because I was sick of having bad eyebrow waxes and was desperate to find someone to help me grow out my brows and make them awesome. I happened upon her randomly and I am SO HAPPY that I did. She is an amazing human being and helped me get my skin ready for my wedding this summer. She is an absolute artist and her facials are so relaxing (I used to hate facials)! She is so warm, welcoming, funny, kind and really makes the experience a fabulous, fun one (even if she’s going after stubborn hairs). BUT THERE’S MORE! Recently Bow & Arrow recently welcomed Joanne to the mix — a fantastic masseuse. She does massage on Wednesdays there, and her work is like magic. She knows just the right amount of pressure to give, she’s kind, intuitive and compassionate. After one of her massages, you will be relaxed, rejuvenated, and ready to face the day (after you come back down to planet earth, that is). I can’t wait to get another massage!

Great vibes all over. I just love how Jill interacts with people and really treats you like an old friend! My waxing service was quick and painless — Jill also talks to you as she works which is a great way to put someone at ease. She is so personable, provides excellent service and I don’t mind making the long commute for my next appointment!

Bow & Arrow is a quaint sanctuary in the heart of the bustling North End and esthetician Jill Miller is one of its co-​goddesses. When I was a facial novice searching for the perfect spa, I knew I wanted an intimate space that was warm and inviting and had an impressive resume to boot.
I knew I’d made the right choice when Jill greeted me like an old friend at my first appointment. As someone who never had a «skincare routine,» I couldn’t have met her at a better time. My skin wasn’t looking and feeling so hot and I thought Jill was going to give me a deserved talking to. Instead she took me under her wing and introduced me to proper skincare.
The facials themselves are nothing short of phenomenal. Each one I’ve had thus far has been thoughtfully tailored by Jill depending on my skin’s current needs. The products she uses both feel and smell amazing. I practically melt into a blob of happiness and tranquility every time. They feel that darn good.
If you can’t tell already, I’m totally hooked. I had initially planned to only treat myself to a facial and leave it at that. Let’s just say a facial by Jill is not a one and done kind of deal. You’ll want to go back again and again. I’m counting down the days until my next one.

I went to Bow & Arrow for a spray tan before my engagement photos. A friend recommended I check it out and I am SO glad that I did! I got a little lost trying to park so I was super late and very flustered when I arrived, but Jill gave me a big hug and said not to worry! Not only was she extremely personable, but she gave me the BEST spray tan I have ever had. Even my fiancé noticed what a nice glow I had! I will hands down be making the trip into Boston to see Jill for a spray tan for my bachelorette and my wedding. After such a great experience, I wouldn’t go anywhere else!!!

This place was amazing! Beyond friendly and helpful staff and a wax room so clean I thought I needed to wear booties.
I went for eyebrow waxing, and I’ve never felt so confident after hair removal.
I would completely recommend this place to anyone. Booking an appointment ahead would probably be best.

I followed Jill from Joi Salon! As someone who had almost all their eyebrows taken off by someone years ago, you learn to only trust a select few. I’ll only go to Jill to get my waxing done!

Kellyn and Jill are amazing !! I have been going to Jill for my waxing needs and have NEVER felt disappointed. The place is extremely clean, Jill is a true professional and very friendly. The light music in the background just helps me relax a bit more when there. Today, I took quite a bold step with my hair when I got them shortened by over 12 inches! While I was curious to try something different, there was a sense of insecurity since I was SO used to my long tresses. I wanted to try on some hair colour and highlights as well. Kellyn has left me feeling so happy with the way she styled my hair. The highlights are perfect, look so natural and are the very shade of brown I wanted. The short hair make me look and feel so chick :) Kellyn and Jill are also so friendly and make you feel so much at home that I look forward to my visits there. On a scale of 1 – 10 would I recommend it? I’d say an 11 !! Go for it, you’d only come back feeling happier about yourself

I found my go-​to waxing, facial, and hair salon with Bow and Arrow. Kellyn and Jill are sister-​in-​laws who started their business in May 2014, and it’s no wonder why they’ve been so successful. They are passionate and skilled at what they do, and it is a pleasure to be in their company. I’ve never had an experience like this before.
I went to Jill for a quick eyebrow wax, and she became my beauty guru within 30 minutes. She casually mentioned a passion for skin health, so I asked her about a recent mysterious breakout. She was so excited to help — we diverged from the waxing to take care of the breakout, and it was such a great experience. I feel so confident with her in control.
These women are amazing — please go if you have a chance!

This salon is AMAZING! Kellyn knows exactly what she is doing, and I completely trust her with my hair. And I’ve only just had my 1^st appointment! She was incredibly accommodating with my schedule, was patient with me while I tried to decide what I wanted, and seemed to know exactly what I needed. I highly recommend Bow & Arrow!!!

I went to Bow and Arrow for the first time about two weeks ago. The location is great and I loved being able to schedule my appointment online.
I had been looking for a salon to go to since I moved here from LA. I’m so happy I did! Kellyn definitely knows her stuff. She made great suggestions and we decided to do balayaging instead of ombré. I LOVE my hair and the hair products they use are great!

These ladies are fantastic! Kellyn saved my hair! When I first went to see her 5 years ago, my hair was brittle, over-​processed and severely damaged. Today, my hair is the healthiest and longest it’s ever been and the coloring is beautiful! She is truly the best!
Jill is a woman of many, many talents! From providing the perfect tan to immaculate eye brow shaping — she’s a gem!

Just had my first visit to Bow & Arrow! It’s adorable and Kellyn and Jill have done an awesome job making their space welcoming! My hair cut and color always look great after a visit with Kellyn. She offers so much more than just hair styling by really taking the time to talk to you about what you want and don’t want. I also look forward to booking a facial with Jill!

I am so happy to have found Kellyn! I found her portfolio on pinterest and immediately made an appointment.
I just had my first hair appointment with Kellyn for some ombré highlights and to fix a terrible haircut I got while abroad. To say both came out great is an understatement. I’ve washed and styled my hair a few times on my own now and it looks exactly how I had wanted it to.
Kellyn is so nice and talented! She took the time to do a full consult to find out what I was looking for and gave me honest recommendations.

I followed Jill from Joi Salon because she is simply the best! Her facials are beyond amazing! She takes her time, really gets to know and understand what is best for her clients, and offers a custom facial for each person. Every time I go she does something different depending on what my skin needs at the time. Her hands work magic and I always feel so relaxed when I leave. Her new salon at Bow & Arrow is super cute and very conveniently located at the front of Hanover Street.

Kellyn is the best hair stylist and colorist and I have been to many! I first went to Kellyn in 2008 and have been seeing her ever since. She talks to you first about what you want to do and asks questions to ensure you are talking about the same color and style before she starts. She is very friendly, easy to talk to and professional. My blond hair always comes out fabulous! I receive so many compliments on my color! Kellyn does a root color and multiple colored highlights and low lights. People all the time tell me my hair looks great and even ask if the color is natural! Before Kellyn, I feared getting my hair done and always left disappointed. Now, I would be lost without Kellyn and would not trust my hair to anyone else. Kellyn even has local celebrities and sports stars’ wives as clients!
Bow & Arrow is an adorable salon right at the top of Hanover St. It is very easy to get to and once inside you feel right at home.
Oh, and Jill is also amazing at spray tans and facials also!

Jill really is the best. She does a flawless and painless brow wax every time. The shape is perfect. She goes above and beyond during every appointment. Not to mention that she has a great personality, I always have a blast when I go in! I recently moved a little farther away, but I still make the trek to have Jill do my brows!
