I just moved to Boston this summer and have been arduously searching for a great wash and set. Carmen’s is the 4th salon I’ve tried and I’m so glad that my search is over. For $ 20 I got exactly what I wanted and a far superior job than the other 3 salons I tried. It’s tiny and they only have 2 sinks, 3 dryers and 2⁄3 stylists so expect to wait. They also are not open on Sundays.

Love this salon! Just wish it was a bigger and more people worked here. All the stylist are excellent! I got a blow dry and cut and it was the best hair cut I have ever had and I have had a lot of bad cuts/trims. I highly recommend this salon. Get there early sometimes the wait can be a little long… but worth it!

I LOVE Carman’s! I went all throughout college and I’m from Jersey so felt right at home in my Dominican spot. Only 2 washers and 3 dryers but def affordable! $ 20 for a wash & set. Just try to get there during the week or be the first one on the weekends.

Carmens is a very straight forward kind of hair salon. The owner and 2 other stylists understand English but speak very little. However, despite it’s tiny size, and the obvious language barrier, at Carmens they do take excellent care of your hair. I went there initially because all of my friends who went had amazingly healthy, long, beautiful hair. Mine flourished here as well. Though waiting in line in a tiny space is really a pain. Prepare to spend 2 hours minimum.

I’ve been going here for a LONG time. Great price– cheapest around for a Wash & Set, Wash&Set&Blowdry or anything else you may want. Just visited again this morning for a wash, set, blowdry & layered cut for only $ 35– and my hair is pretty long! A cut is $ 12 but if you’ve combined your cut with other services, its only an extra $ 10 charge They even wax eyebrows– $ 7 The women who work there are nice and typically speak Spanish rather than English, so it wouldn’t hurt to know a word or two. But if you dont, dont worry, hair is universal language! :) One stop shop as far as I am concerned!

Went here all throughout college. Cheap and they take pretty good care of your hair. Waiting can be a pain though because it’s fairly small.
