Amazing burgers, cooked to perfection. Don’t bother ordering online for pickup, you get a confirmation but it doesn’t actually go through unless you call?(Pointless) If this should happen to you, they don’t care or sympathize that you have to waste more time waiting longer for your order. Great food though

I’ve been here 4 times and I can summarize my experiences by saying: 1.) The customer service is crap. Today I waited a full minute or two while the cashier was on the phone before acknowledging me. She said she was on the phone with the manager, so I understand why you’d want to finish your conversation, but at least say, «Hi, I’ll be with you in a moment,» while you finish up. I’d think the manager would understand you wanting to greet customers. 2.) The food is so-so. Today I had a muffin, which was good, and iced coffee which was a little watery. Last time I had a quesadilla, which was good. And the time before that I had a grilled chicken salad, wherein the chicken strips were’t cooked thoroughly. I had about 2 pieces and tossed the rest for fear of food poisoning. I also had a burger a few months ago and now that I think about it, it was unmemorable, so take that for what it’s worth. 3.) While I can appreciate that some of your business is takeout, for customers who actually want to sit in any of the 9 seats, it’s weird to be eating out of to-go containers with plastic forks. Overall, I think next time I’ll just go to Pauli’s.

All I had was the pizza which was outstanding and very cheap. $ 2 a slice for Sicilian! Cashier was polite. The place is very small, clean but definitely a great place for lunch.

This restaurant is a nice small comfort food type of place that stands out right when you reach the North End. You are drawn to it by the sign that says the Best Burger in Boston. It is always nice to find a place that serves a good burger and good pizza. As for the claim of best burger in Boston, that is debatable. However, they do serve a very good and hearty burger with a nice selection to choose from. I myself ordered the buffalo burger with blue cheese. There could have been a little bit more sauce on it, but atleast they did not drench the burger in buffalo sauce. They cooked it to my preference and I enjoyed the flavor. And they give you a good size burger for ten dollars. I did not order the pizza but it sure looked good. Some people came in after I started eating and raved about the pizza once they started digging into their slices. That is something I will have to try next time I am in the area. I still think JM Curley has the best burger in Boston, but this place is still five star. The service is relatively quick here so you probably will not encounter a long line. I will definitely be back to try the pizza.

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon after walking through the north end and the Boston public market. A sign outside advertising $ 2 Sicilian pizza slices outside drew us in! It’s tiny inside, so I was shocked to see a huge menu board on the wall. The pizza looked great, so we got a couple slices of the cheese. It was delicious. I was surprised a piece that size was only $ 2 in the north end. I’d go for that pizza again! I’d also want to try their breakfast items.

Was thinking seafood but sons birthday and he wanted burger. Already in north end so Unilocal led us to cobblestone and we had 2 different burgers, Greek salad and bacon cheese fries. All were amazing. Try it

Love their burgers, shakes, and breakfast sandwiches. They’re quick and courteous. It’s a little pricey, but tasty and convenient.

This food was disgusting. The burger tasted like frozen burger meat you can find in Chinatown’s supermarket freezer. The shape of the burger was a perfect round circle and had no flavor even though the menu says«signature homemade» burger blend of meats. I had the 227 signature burger and fries and my boy Jackie had the Sassy Lassy and fried pickles. Jackie was flipping out cause the burger had no flavor and the fried pickles had no flavor also. I would rather have the Triad torture me with a 100 whips of the dragon than have to eat another one of their burgers. I would rather go to Heaven and Earth Massage Parlor when it was only employed by men than eat another Cobblestone burger. I would rather let Ricky Tan get away than eat another burger from Cobblestone. The burger was 11.50 and the fries were 3.00. I would not spend another 16 dollars for this. Why do they charge extra for fries? Don’t be fooled by the sign out front that says«best burger in Boston.» That sign is such a false advertisement that I’m surprised they have not been sued by the city of Boston. Maybe I should get Chinatown involved and let them know how awful this place is.

I really wanted to like this place — they have some very creative burger recipes on the menu. I ordered the 227 burger rare and received a medium well burger. Matching the customer’s specified meat temperature is critical at a burger joint, so this was a pretty big fail. The jalapeño jam did not have the zing I was hoping for, though the bourbon bacon was good. Seating is limited as the interior is pretty small. I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to come back.

I mean, it was a burger. I am not sure it warrants them to put the sign«the best burger in Boston» on the front door. Pretty sure you could drive into Charlestown and visit the 99 and get the same exact 227 burger for a couple dollars cheaper than their price and also get a side of fries. I wasn’t upset, the burger was good, but also $ 12 and didn’t knock my socks off. On the other hand there aren’t really that many places to grab a burger in this area, so I think the«best burger in Boston» is relative to about ½ mile radius

Loved how you could build your own burger concept. It was delicious and so were the fries. The woman at the register was super friendly. Food came out quick and one of the best burgers and fries I’ve had in a very long time. Love love

Not a lot of places to get a shake in the neighborhood. Dropped by cobblestone with a hankering. $ 6.00? Better be a pretty good shake. Unfortunately, it was pretty bland, kind of small especially for that price, and came in styrofoam. The service was pretty rude too. No personality, no smiles, just mumbles when handing me my stuff. Here’s a hint Cobblestone — you only get to pull that when you’re already famous. Why would I ever come back?

Came here for lunch and got a buffalo chicken quesadilla. It was probably the weakest, most disappointing one I’ve ever eaten. For 10 dollars, I thought it would be loaded with stuff but it barely had and chicken in it and was flat as a pancake. Definitely not worth the money. The woman taking our ordered seemed so annoyed that we were in there getting lunch. She really needs to have a better attitude if she’s going to work in this industry.

Having worked in the North End for about a year, pasta gets old. Not to mention most restaurants can be a little hard on your wallet. Then came Cobblestone. I am already bias towards BBQ and grilled meat, as I do not consider myself to be a light eater. I am thin, but don’t feed me bird food. Cobblestone offers a great selection of grilled meats to satisfy my carnivorous taste buds. I visited with a coworker and she ordered the Crab Cake Burger while I settled on the Cobblestone Minis. The staff was super friendly, engaging us in casual conversation as we waited for our food. The wait wasn’t long, and with warm goodbyes we were off to chow down at the office. The Cobblestone Minis For the price of 2.99(got the two-pack) my first thought was, how good can they really be being the cheapest burger on the menu? The answer sure surprised me. The meat was seasoned well and tender, the bacon and tangy 227 sauce only enhanced the flavor explosion in my mouth. The patties were also well sized too, no all-bun-where’s-the-meat? scenario. The portions were right for the price and I had no feelings of being ripped off or short changed for my order. The Crab Cake Burger I am a huge seafood fan and will eat anything that crawls, swims, or sits in the ocean. Taking a sample of my co-workers burger, left me utterly disappointed especially after the awesome experience with my burger. While I didn’t have to question where the meat was in the mini, the crab cake unfortunately was more cake than crab. It too was seasoned well, but was more like crab flavored stuffing rather than a crab cake. If I could I’d retrieve my second Cobblestone mini from my coworker and hand her back the crab cake, but I’m sure like me, the mini is gone while the Crab Cake burger is left on the plate like the one kid who didn’t get picked for the baseball team. Will I go back? Absolutely, but I’d probably stick to the traditional grill items like hot dogs, burgers and pulled pork(coworker said it was amazing). The Cobblestone minis sure convinced me to try out their other burger selections. I’m also interested in their milkshakes as well as I am a frappé girl at heart. As someone who enjoys good food I wholeheartedly recommend this place. It serves great food at a great price.

My husband and I stopped into Cobblestone to grab something for dinner last week. They have a wide variety of items on their menu and everything is made to order. I had the chicken quesadilla and my husband had the chicken cutlet sandwich. We both felt that our meals were average. I would be willing to go back and try something else. However, that is not likely to happen anytime soon given the many superior options in the North End.

I thought Cobblestone was essentially just a coffee shop, but I discovered they actually have a very large menu of sandwiches, burgers, salads, and sides. This review, however, is for Cobblestone’s coffee. In the summer, Cobblestone has 8 varieties of ready-made iced coffee: regular, French vanilla, toffee, hazelnut, snickerdoodle, etc. I don’t know of anywhere else that beats Cobblestone on the iced coffee front. There was, however, one glaring omission: no decaf! The barista cheerfully brewed a new pot of decaf(hot) coffee so she could make me a decaf iced coffee, but of course you then either have to wait a while for it to cool or accept that the ice will dilute it. I chose the latter, but even still the coffee was good. Seating is limited to 9 stools at counters along 2 walls, but there are lots of power outlets AND even USB outlets along the counters, which suggests they don’t mind you lingering for a while. That’s rare in the north end.

I’ve eaten at Cobblestone several times. Other reviewers who’ve been there multiple times and comment on a lack of consistency are pretty much spot on. The concept is good. The menu items and the ingredients are good too. If it was consistent, it would be worth $ 15 for burger+fries if only because this place is open until 11pm. The owner of this place, at least one of them, is a pleasant lady. I met her in person, we had a lovely conversation, and she was very attentive to feedback. However, the owner needs to find trustworthy employees to make and keep this place awesome. The service upfront was terrible the last couple of times I was there. I was treated as if the folks upfront were giving me a favor by ringing me up. I paid $ 18 for a burger and eggplant fries at a takeout place, so at least give me service that I could expect from somewhere like Chipotle, where I pay $ 8. Compared to Cobblestone service, Chipotle is a Micheline Star restaurant, at least based on my latest experience at Cobblestone. No smile at any point and visible frustration when I asked questions about the ingredients, cold look and silence when I thanked them and said the food was really good(it was good that one time). Cooking is a hit or miss too. Mostly miss — 4 out of 5 times. Last time I was there(tonight 3⁄10), The sweet potato fries were literally burnt. I mean, literally. I don’t know how you see the fries come out this way and decide it’s OK to give them to the customer. Some fries were edible, but had blackened outside and probably really bad for you, others were complete charcoal due to their smaller size(black through the middle). On top of that, the burger that was supposed to be medium-rare was medium-well to well done. I’ve considered returning it, but I was so hungry when I got home that instead I ate the half of the order that wasn’t going to get me hospitalized in the short-term and threw the charcoal pieces away. Charcoal pieces that made up half could have been delicious sweet potato fries in my belly if the staff took pride in their work. I really hope this place improves, because I really like the concept, the menu items, and the fact that it’s open later for occasional nights when I stumble back from work after 10pm. I think it will require some mentoring or replacement of staff for Cobblestone to live up to the North End aspirations.
