I had a hard drive that I had stored all of my movies, Music and Pictures on. A lot of childhood pictures and my favorite movies. One day, I went to turn it on to transfer some more music to it and it wouldn’t turn on! So, I visited Data Retrieval and gave them a call. I was thrilled that they got my hard drive back to me in a timely manner. They were very professional and made my hard drive work as if nothing had happened. I will definitely be using them again when my electronics decide to stop working.

All her life my aunt collected music on an old hard drive. Unfortunately time passed and she kept delaying on to shift to a new version of hard drive. I take the blame– because she was novice in this way. One fine day while copying the data on her new phone she heard some strange clicking sound from the ancient hard drive. I am an old customer of DR so I called them up in Boston and asked them to transfer it all to a new drive. Though the media was damaged as the strange clicking sound was saying, but like always they survived it all. The picked the broken drive from my aunt and restored it all. I had to comply and pay online because I was the culprit in this case. My aunt is happy and now she uses an ipod (still ancient though in days of iphone) but like some things in never change– I dont change my vendor.

I have had an old extrenal Hdd sitting in my closet forever. Many memories from high school, photos and videos on it. It did not work when I tested it out. I was unable to get most of my data. I sent an inquiry through their website and followed up with a call where a friendly representative explained everything I needed to know! Couple clicks and I made an order for their basic package! My disc was saved in 100%. Couple of other similar services providers could not match even the diagnostic part of Data Retrieval’s work. I love their quick online support and easy access to everything one needs to know just a 1 click away on their website.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Data Retrieval, which resulted in lost time and business. The overall experience could have been salvaged if there was ANY response to my complaints regarding lack communication, miscommunication, billing, and shipping, but by doing nothing, management has shown its true colors.
The job was actually completed quickly and while it was in process, customer support and tech staff were responsive and helpful. However, as soon as the job was completed, everything else went drastically wrong. I fell for the aggressive sales tactics and paid the price. There are plenty of other, more reputable, companies out there for data recovery. My advice? Do some research and consider paying a little extra for doing business elsewhere.

The company is very inflexible with its policies and slow-going overall. For instance, they will send your data to your billing address, regardless of your shipping address. I’ve experienced a dodgy, and sometimes dishonest, customer service while attempting to get a hard drive rerouted through their shipping system. Alas, after paying them 1500 for a personal drive, they wouldn’t reroute a time-sensitive package through their system. And to think they have the gall to say they «go the extra mile for you»!
