I’ve never visited a Dunkin to my knowledge after all these trips to the US. It’s truly the American version of our Canadian Tim Hortons. Inexpensive coffee that is rather uninspiring yet adequate for the needs. I came by here to try the iced coffee which was a decent strength. I’m so not into the fru-fruey iced mocha cappa latte deal(loaded with… you know it sugar!). I drank those when I was 17 but I couldn’t stomach one of those these days. Service was direct and not your service with a smile. For the inexpensive coffee option Dunkin trumps the other places. I wouldn’t call it an amazing experience rather sterile.

I just like donuts and cream… so donuts with cream inside… just stay away from the«extras» like the boston cream or whatever. Just get the regular with chocolate filling; a good sweet kick.

It could use refresh as it is tiny and looks a bit dated but the staff is friendly. Coffee and doughnuts… what else do you need?

Convenient location and not too crowded! The staff was friendly. There’s a lot to do and see in the vicinity too.

Munchkins? What do you call these doughnut holes? Anyways.I forget the name but I had half a dozen of their cherry filled and awful glazed chocolate. Hard and tastes like chocolate Nesquick powder. I’m not sure how people love these doughnuts since their special flavor… Oreo and their Chips Ahoy were super sweet and in my opinion, inedible because of all that frosting and sugar. It’s like a doughnut sugar bomb. No thanks… even on free doughnut day, June 5th.

A tiny little store, just like the donut holes. With bunch of sweet staff members. I have been to this Dunkin many a times — when out and about in Copley. Usually waiting for friends who arrive late. There hasn’t been a time when I have been disappointed in my caffeine experience from this branch. The staff is really nice here, despite the employee turnover from time to time. This one can especially get busy during weekends and typically during the summer. But it is surprisingly never chaotic because there are quite a few DDs in the area. The store itself is quite small and hence can accommodate not a very big crowd. So pick and choose your coffee destination when in the area as you will be able to see from the door itself how crowded this place can get. Since the store is in the middle of all the Copley commotion, I have seen they typically run out of the popular donuts rather quickly — especially the Boston Crème, my favorite. That is my only observation as compared to other locations and is kind of justified. Else, I have never had an issue getting my favorite coffee flavors or the typical breakfast wraps that I enjoy on a weekend out in Copley. Strange as it may sound — I have some fun and some not so fun memories associated with this store — all around waiting here with my favorite cup of coffee for friends(don’t worry, won’t start a mini story here!). It’s life as we know it… Good Times!

Busy and small. Staff were friendly and quick, but don’t expect to find seating(which is limited to a long wall bar). They get a lot of business but they churn through it pretty quickly.

This is one of my favorite Dunkins. I work nearby and the staff here treats me and all of the associates that work at my location like VIPs every time we come in. Just stellar, friendly-neighborhood service, which is not often found in the city. Nolis is a gem — so sweet, so caring, and an asset to the team. The manager is extremely good, always pitching in to help during peak times. The girls at the counter are efficient and despite a VERY tight layout space-wise, keep the line moving and the system going. Here and there, I’ve had a coffee come out wrong(cream instead of skim), but they are always quick to fix any mistakes and they MORE than make up for it with their efficiency and service. I love coming here in the morning — cheers me up all day!

America runs on Dunkin’… I think it’s more like Boston runs on Dunkin’. There are sadly none in my hometown so while I was visiting I thought I would take advantage. This is a very busy location compared to the neighboring shops. They handle the overall demand of tourists and workers coming in however it’s extremely loud and the service is subpar. If all you care about is getting your iced coffee and fast food breakfast then I guess you’re good to go. It’s pretty hard to miss your order too as they’re shouting the entire time. I was on a hunt for French cruellers which they don’t have here. Go to the Dunkin’ in the Prudential Center if you want them. They go fast though.

I love dunkins, and this one is on my way to work but it’s such a bad location compared to the others. Always loud and yelling, no one calls out order numbers for food so you just sit there while they do nothing waiting. I’m a Dunkin going for life but I’m going to start changing locations.

Staying at the hotel across the street, this seemed like the best option for breakfast. The first day, the service was normal for a place like this(not especially friendly or good, but not terrible) and the food was the usual crappy fast food breakfast(as expected, considering we went to DD not an upscale café) . This morning, however, was another story. The food was pretty much the same but the service was atrocious. There were two girls taking orders on a single register and I don’t think they had a brain cell between them. Despite the fact that I explained my VERY simple order about 5 times(one combo, one single sandwich, 2 donuts), they still managed to get it wrong. And the worst part was that the reason they weren’t paying attention to my order is that they were too busy making fun of the man with Downs Syndrome standing next to me. Completely disgraceful. I told the manager making the food about the issue but she just tried to rush me out the door. If I were you, or if I ever find myself in the back bay again, I would find another place for breakfast.

Oh Dunkin’… you are definitely no Starbucks. I say, stick with their coffee(hot or cold, both are good), but not the Coolatas. I bought a mocha coolata today and it was WAY too sweet. and this is coming from a girl, who loves sweet things. This one was over the board. Major disappointment; I should have gone to Starbucks for a frap.

Quick and reasonably friendly. I pass this place every morning on the way to my car, so it is super convenient. Not to sound like scrooge, but I would stop in a lot more often if there wasn’t always a herd of homeless people outside begging for change and trying to get me to buy newspapers.

I go to this dunkin’ every morning despite the 4 that I pass on my way into work via the MBTA. Every time I step in, no matter how long the line is, I never wait more than 5 minutes to get to the counter. Everybody is always very friendly and helpful! I’ve been to many dunkin’ donuts around New England and even worked there before and this is the only location I can confidently say that I’ve never had them mess up my coffee or sandwich. Veggie cream cheese? You got it. With a smile. Toast your wheat bagel before you put the tuna on it and warm it up in the oven? No problem. With a smile. These guys are a tight team of very accurate and friendly people. Thanks for making my mornings efficient and painless!

My local Dunks. This one is particularly cramped and dirty, but they get that coffee in your hand mighty fast. Sandwiches follow shortly thereafter. Product quality is comparable to any other location, and they’ve never messed up my coffee order here.(Side note: Has anyone else noticed Dunkin’s people LOVE to put sugar in coffee, regardless of whether you ask them to?) I will confess I sometimes opt not to come here to avoid some of the most aggressive panhandling on Boylston, especially after I witnessed a physical brawl between two people asking for change(one was outside Tedeschi’s). Pro tip: The line forms at the far end of the store, away from the doors. Don’t piss people off by getting in line at the other side.

* In 3D: Dump it Down the Drain * My wife and I used to frequent Dunkin Donut(DD) for years, for late morning and evening coffee. DD was also the first coffee that I drank from a franchise.(I didn’t start drinking coffee until after college.) However, as my taste for«good» coffee increased, I started questioning the making of DD coffee. Why does the coffee at this DD taste different than the one at this other DD? Why does the coffee not taste as good when I use less cream? Why do the store-bought DD coffee beans not produce good tasting coffee; other coffee bean brands produced good coffee? And, why do New Englanders love this crap? DD is the reason I don’t drink flavored coffee anymore; I would visit several locations, but I still could never get good French Vanilla coffee from them. There is no consistency between DD locations. You’d think that a franchise would produce consistent food/beverages between locations. One location serves coffee that is more burnt than burnt coffee from the other location. Their coffee would taste better if they made and kept it fresh enough throughout the day: dump it out after it has been sitting on the heater for 30 minutes or more. It’s all in the light cream. I used to think they used half and half as the cream until I saw them make my order. They dump a lot of cream into the coffee.(No wonder the coffee texture has a full-bodied texture to it.) But, if you start using half and half, milk, or less cream, you realize that you end up with what tastes like watered down coffee — if you’re lucky; it depends what is in the water used to make the coffee. DD coffee is decent at best.(Can we get some actual coffee flavor in here?) With the exception of the donuts, breakfast food is bad too. I once ordered an egg and cheese bagel and saw them peel the eggs from a piece of wax paper — as if the eggs were stickers — before assembling and microwaving the sandwich. * Service * The staff is somewhat friendly in most DDs, but the ones in this location just seemed more interested in getting people in and out as fast as possible. They did get the coffee out quickly, without getting the order wrong. * Bottom Line * Come for the donuts, but go elsewhere for good coffee.

As busy as this place gets, they keep the damn line a-moving! Quick, accurate, friendly. One of the best Dunkins in the city, if I do say so myself. There is actually another Dunkin on the other side of Back Bay Station, which only has donuts and drinks. If you want sandwiches or other food, you need to hit this one up. A word to the wise — as much as they keep the line moving, this place still gets busy, so plan on about 10 minutes total(unless you’re only getting a coffee) if you’re ordering food during morning rush hour. If you’re just grabbing a cup o Joe, you’ll be out in under 5.

As a transplanted Californian I have to say at first I was confused by the fervent love everyone has for Dunkin’ Donuts… The donuts were fine, and it’s nice that they’re everywhere and stuff but I still didn’t get it. Then I had the iced coffee… Dunkin’ Donuts Iced Coffee makes me poop No matter what. It always works, and It puts me in a great mood. Way to go DD!
