Best pizza I’ve had in Boston in a long time. Highly recommend if anyone wants a nice big slice of delicious pizza.

A pleasant, substantial corn meal dusted crust able to support a number of yummy toppings. I had the sausage and the hamburger slices. The sausage slice had little globs of ricotta-y goodness. Both pies were light on the sauce(not a bad thing) allowing for the cheese to stay seated on the bread and not fly off after taking a bite.

PIZZA. GIVEMEALLOFTHEIRCHEESEPIZZA. ITISSOOOOOOGOOD. They’re known for their tomato and basil, but I looooove the cheese so much. I have to stop myself from ordering more than a slice(which is actually two).

Was on the wait list for Neptune oysters and stumbled into this place to grab a beer. I am so glad we decided to grab a pizza. This is definitely a diamond in the rough. We had the sausage and ricotta and it hit the spot. 1 slice is actually 2 pieces, ¼ of the pizza for only 5.50. Definitely worth the price!

Definitely one of the best pizza places i’ve tried. Came here based on the recommendation of a friend who insisted this was the best pizza in Boston. Can’t really blame him for that. I got a slice each of the buffalo chicken pizza and the meatlovers. The meatlovers was alright. Pepperoni, sausage and hamburger pizza. Definitely above average but what earns the 4 star rating is the buffalo chicken pizza! Holy pizza I would eat this every single day if I could afford it. The perfect combination of chicken and cheese served hot. Not to mention the slices are HUGE. I was most definitely not expecting such big portions but damn. Will definitely be coming back if I am ever around the area!

Pizza was really good and filling. Ate a slice and a half and was totally full. Loved the pizza with chicken and banana peppers and potatoes. Soooo good. Very small pizzeria only about 6 tables.

Worth it! Cozy place where the guys likes to serve good pizzas. The slices are huge and 1 potion is generally mouthful enough for a single meal.

Ernesto’s is my go-to place for pizza in Boston. Swing by before heading over to the Garden! For 5 bucks, you’re getting a generous portion. 1 slice equals 2 at Ernesto’s. Pair up with someone else if you’re looking for variety!

Gster and I have a problem. We are seeking out the best pizza of our lives. In order to achieve this, we have to eat a lot of pizza. It’s a great problem to have. Ernesto’s is very well known in Boston. We didn’t mean to come here, but we stumbled here one day after other options didn’t work out. Again, not a bad problem to have. The restaurant is extremely small, classic North End. I really wanted two slices, but didn’t want slice regret. So I just got one. Gster got 2 and didn’t finish it. I wish I had had that problem. Overall, the Pizza was delicious. Was it the best I have had? No. Was it the best in Boston? No. Did it solve our problem? No . But… Was it excellent? Yes. It is definitely worth the try when in the North End.

One slice at Ernesto’s equals two regular slices of pizza, so come hungry or be prepared to share. I forgot what I ordered but it had pepperoni and some other meat on it. I liked the pepperoni as it was flavorful and slightly crisp. What I loved was the dough itself. It was a little sweet and even had a sweet aroma but went nicely with their tomato sauce. We also ordered spinach arancini with marinara sauce on top. Yummy! Very filling and worth every cent, especially after a long flight!

Excellent. Small, not a lot of seating, but well worth it. Try the Sicilian slice– you won’t regret it!

BIG, delicious slices for a small price! I am very fussy about my food, especially pies… and Ernesto’s passed my pizza pallette. THEDEAL: I’m from New Haven, CT., and grew up on famous Pepe’s Pizza. So, my slice standards are very high!

At the third stop in our ‘Search for Boston’s Best Pizza Slice’, Ernesto’s has taken the lead! What I love about Ernesto’s is that they offer at least 6 kinds of pizza if you’re just looking to get a slice. When I visited Ernesto’s on Sunday, the flavours included Buffalo Chicken, Supreme, Sausage and Ricotta, Cheese, Pepperoni, Pepperoni and Ricotta, Meat Lovers, Tomato and Basil and more! Also, a single slice is the equivalent of two or even three slices of pizza! I ordered a slice of Sausage and Ricotta, while my boyfriend ordered a slice of the Supreme. It came to a total of $ 12, and about 4 large slices of pizza. Yum yum, can’t wait to go back

A friend and I ducked into Ernesto’s for dinner after seeing all of the rave reviews on Unilocal. You so rarely lead me wrong, Unilocal,so maybe we came on a bad night. Slices are huge — order a slice and you get two by default. For the quantity the price is good. However my slices were served barely heated and yet still overcooked. Pizzeria pizza should be served piping hot with gooey cheese that dares you to bite into it and scald your mouth. Even after taking one slice back to be reheated it was still barely warm, with congealed cheese layered on top. While they get points for a good crust and bright, fresh flavored pizza sauce, I wouldn’t recommend or return.

great little hole in the wall in the Italian district of Boston, great selection of pizzas by the slice with reasonable prices and even better friendly service. two big pieces in each«slice». good value !!!

The pizza here is so good, it had me cussing around kids like I had turrets. Perfect thin crust that holds its own and crunches in all the right places? «Sh*t yes.» The cost of 1 pizza, but you actually get 2? «Son of a b*tch… that is stupendous.» Fresh Italian sausage and ricotta pizza… «F*ck(moans) this is just stupid.» There’s nothing complicated about their pizza. Ernesto’s pizza crust is perfectly imperfect with its bubbled edges and small burnt spots. The toppings are mostly no frills, but will have you thinking, «Why don’t ALL pizza joints have these toppings?» Fried eggplant, ricotta, fresh italian sausage, fresh garlic — the pizzas are allowed to be simple because their flavor speaks through the quality of the ingredients. Ernesto’s doesn’t go over the top. They just do it right. Pro Tip: This is a great place to stop by during your 2 hour wait at Neptune’s.

This place was so so good. I knew from reading the reviews that if you order one«slice», you actually get two slices. Another thing to add is that each of the slices themselves are really big as well, so be prepared. One thing I would suggest is to have labels for the pizzas in the case. I know you can always ask, or physically see what kind of toppings the pizza has, but it would save some time if the customer could just see what his/her options are. But I know that would probably ruin the«legit-ness» of it. We ordered the chicken, ricotta and pepperoni pizza. Interesting combination. The slices are huge, greasy and DELICIOUS. Classic NY pizza right here.

This is the biggest«slice» of pizza I’ve ever had. It’s actually two slices based on the cut marks. I got their sausage and pepperoni slice. $ 5.75 A bit steep but considering it’s basically two slices, it makes it worth it. I really like the sausage here. Great spice and texture. The pepperoni is standard. Thin crust, chewy NY style. Minus one star for being warm and not hot enough so that the reheated slice is slightly cold in the middle. Also, the crust isn’t good enough for me to eat. It’s an okay crust, but not finish all the way good. Also, extremely greasy, used 5 napkins to soak it all up. Hence the 4 stars.

Slice of pizza is pretty much ¼ of an entire pizza. Prices vary by type, cheese is the cheapest. Not the greatest slice but it’ll hit the spot for ya after a night out! Guys working were pretty chill and definitely would drop by for a slice next time!

Best slice you’ll find in the North End. I kid you not. HUGE double slice will fill up your belly. Lots of different choices unlike most pizza joints when it comes to a slice of pie. And they’re all good! The place is tiny so you may have to take it to go when they’re slammed — wolf it down Tony Manero style while strolling down Hanover Street to «Stayin’ Alive» ah ah ah ah «STAYIN’ ALIVE… STAYIN’ ALIVE!» What more can I say? Go there or be L7 :-)
