Incredibly well paced classes with extremely informative lectures that supplemented the requires book. It was very enjoyable and Mr. Kumar presented the information in a creative way and helped me find direction in this broad field.

Would 100% recommend this to friends and colleagues. I was skeptical that this much material could be covered in such a short time and still keep the class engaged. I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality and pace of the instruction. The instructor Dee was as well qualified and credible an instructor as I’ve ever had. I stress credible because he is experienced and well spoken in almost all aspects of real Estate, willing to share, and can provide real life examples that make the material stick. I feel like a much better professional for having taken the class.

I was lucky to find Host Group, its located in a great area (easy to find). The instructor Dee is very energetic and promotes a healthy learning environment, not many instructors care if you understand or not, they just throw information at you. At Host Group they make sure you understand, answer all questions and make relatable references. They help you with everything. I took my test for the first time today and passed. I attended the two weekend classes about a month and a half ago and must say this class is as good as it gets for mandatory 40 hrs of class. I came across the school on Unilocal search and based off the rave reviews I trusted them over several of my friends who took their classes elsewhere. Dee the owner and instructor was awesome. Kept it interesting, added lots of real world experience he and others he knew firsthand had which really, really helped connect the material. Outside of the material he needed to cover, he gave us lots of extra real estate info from angles of professional investors, landlords, brokers, developers (things he experienced firsthand in those roles) and so you get a full picture of the industry and how they interconnect with the material. For me a massive side benefit he gave tons of advice during class that greatly helped me as a professional landlord as well, if that class was just about that it would’ve still be totally worth it for me to sit the 40 hours. With his background in law and extensive and impressive experience in real estate, Dee taught the class as I would imagine the best of Harvard Law real estate professors would teach it. It was highly professional, thorough, clear and in depth in all the right areas. So after a month and a half I finally took the exam and passed though I barely studied. It was all thanks to Dee’s awesome instruction! Highly recommended.

Can’t say enough about Dee. He is simply amazing. He’s extremely engaging even though one day can be up to ten hours in the classroom, he makes it fun to learn. Hes also a really good guy who cares. I struggled with a little bit of the work but he made sure that I understood it. I didn’t feel comfortable that I was going to pass the test but he sat down with me and came up with a strategy for me to learn and answer the questions to the best of my ability. I passed first time!

this is the best class to get you into the real estate profession. Dee is a professional trainer with years of experiences in real estate, finance, and legal. He is extremely well rounded, is clearly passionate about the real estate business and about helping people get the requirements they need. his class really gives you the tools and confidence you need to pass the exam. I took the live 20 hours two days class and it was worth every minute. I can’t speak about the self guided online class but i think i would have gotten so lost and overwhelmed by all of that material in an online class. There really isn’t anyone else around doing such an outstanding job as Dee and Host Group. I have a fellow student from CT, another one from the Cape. If you are lucky enough to live near Boston and want to see some real results in the shortest amount of time, take his class. And if you don’t succeed on the first try or second or third, Dee will definitely see you through it.

Took the MLO pre-​licensing class at Host Group with Dee and passed the test the next week on my first try without a problem. Dee is friendly, accommodating and most importantly VERY knowledgeable. He knows the industry and the test inside and out and tailored the class to focus on the most probable tested material.

The class was great. Dee was a very good instructor, teaching us specific topics that were relevant for the real estate license exam. When taking the actual exam, I remembered a lot of the answers because I paid attention in class. The practice exams were also very, very helpful for the MA portion of the exam because the general real estate book did not go into MA specific regulations. The only areas of improvement I would say is to look at the audience more. I found that Dee looked downed a lot — maybe because he was thinking? The only real negative thing I would say is that the math instructor Dee brought in made a number of calculation mistakes and was not clear his teaching, but he appeared to be new at teaching.
Overall, great experience. Passed on my first try so that is always good news.

Choosing Host Group as my Real Estate school for salesperson licensing was definitely a decision I don’t regret. The small class size, easy going nature of our instructor, and the thoroughness of the content learned made me feel prepared to take the MA exam. After completing the 4-​day course and studying hard for another 4 days, I took the licensing test and passed on the first try! I owe my success in part to Host Group. Thanks again, Dee!

Big Ups to Host Group Real Estate Academy! I took the course two years go and the experience was awesome! Dee is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the RE business and success of his students.
After I finished up with the classes, to say the least I slacked on taking the exam for a good period of time. When I got around to taking the exam I did not do so well, but having had such a great experience the first time around at Host Group I called up Dee and asked if I could audit the class.
The definition of customer service! I started a new job and had a crazy schedule so I did a combination of the online self paced videos and even got to sit in on a couple of live classes to help round off the memory. Host Group Real Estate Academy will never give up on you, all you got to do is ask for help! I am more than confident that I will walk away with my license when I retake the exam. I found Host Group’s licensing prep class through a google search, and it was one of the best prep classes that I’ve ever taken. The classes are very long…10 hours a day for four days, but Dee (the teacher/​owner of the company) was not only professional and knowledgeable about the content, but also happy to share some of his personal experiences in the industry which made the time go by much quicker. He really knows his stuff, and is able to present the material in a way that just makes it easy to learn.
Definitely would recommend this class to anyone trying to prepare for a real estate licensing exam.

I was referred to Host Group by a friend. I signed up for the self-​paced class, and it was great. Scheduling my sessions could not have been easier (you can do it right through their website) and the staff was very helpful.
Dee did an awesome job teaching the material. I am by no means a good student but I passed my license exam on my first try!

I just finished my Sales Agent Class at Host Group taught by Dee. This class was great. The ability to keeps someones attention for 10hrs is hard, Dee is charismatic, funny, and is full of knowledge. He knows his stuff, he’s super intelligent and experienced. And he taught in a way i just soaked up the information. Don’t bother searching for other real estate classes trust me, just sign up with HOST you will not regret it I PROMISE YOU. He provides coffee, water and candy which was great also.

My instructor, Dee Kumar, is an outstanding teacher. He patiently explains concepts as well as test taking skills. He shares his real estate experiences, which, for me, made the class even more enjoyable.

I heard about Dee through a friend, and decided to take my salesperson class with him. I loved it, he was great — brought coffee, candy and lots of sugar to keep us alert. He also gave frequent breaks which kept everyone alert and awake. Not sure how he did it, but he kept my attention the whole time and I actually enjoyed myself.
Dee really knows his stuff and tells you what you need to know to pass the test. I took my exam 5 days after I completed my course and passed without a problem.
Yes it’s a «24 hour» course, I think I had two 10 hour days with a lunch break… but who wants to be there for 24 hours if you learn everything you need to know. not me! Overall it was a great experience and he got me really excited about working in real estate!

Signing up for Unilocal just to do this review, because I felt he deserves it. I have taken this same class at Lee Institute, and believe me, it is SO MUCH better at Host Group! Dee is not only one of the smartest guys I have ever met, but he makes the boring material interesting. He has a ton of experience in both real estate and investing/​investment banking. I learned so much more here than at Lee Institute, and the time went by a lot faster. He is passionate about what he does, he doesn’t just read off a script. Take this class with Dee! Oh yea, and I passed the exam first try.
