Got slices and a soda. Pizza slice was a bit soggy and seems like it had been out for a hour or two. Price was a bit high. 5.50 for a slice and a tiny Coke. Those red twist baby cans. Soccer highlights gave an extra star. Cody chairs didn’t help the lack of quality. Overall, this place left me underwhelmed.(Time of eating 2:00mins even)

I’m not ordering from here anymore. Our last order, of which I posted a picture, was a Hawaiian pizza that was delivered completely mangled. All the cheese was pushed off of it, it looked like the delivery guy ran over it with his car. I called the shop, and they wanted us to return it to the driver to get a refund — no apology was offered. So now I’ve been waiting at my apartment for over an hour for this driver to show up so that I can get my money back. For future reference, if you want to keep your customers after you screw up an order this bad, the appropriate response is, «We’re so sorry. We’ll issue a refund to your credit card immediately. What can we do to make this right?»

I can’t deny that Il Mondo’s pizzas are delicious, but when they arrive late, cold, and in the most recent case, too mangled to eat, it doesn’t matter. The delivery at Il Mondo is atrocious. It takes an hour or more, every time. I don’t think they keep the pizza in one of those warming bags while it’s out for delivery, because it’s frequently lukewarm and occasionally even cold. The pizza we just ordered looks like it was thrown into the car at an angle, causing all of the cheese and toppings to slide over to one side and congeal. We called immediately after receiving the pizza to complain and request a refund. We were told that in order to get a refund, we needed to give the pizza back to the driver. Ok, that’s a bit annoying, but I understand you don’t want people scamming you out of pizzas. It’s now going on 90 minutes since we called and the driver has not yet returned for the pizza. We live 0.5 miles from Il Mondo, and called immediately after he left. This could have been an opportunity for Il Mondo to retain our business with sincere apologies and an attempt at service(like say, showing up really promptly to reclaim the pizza), but instead we are essentially being held hostage, forced to wait at home to return this pizza so we are not charged $ 22 for an item we cannot eat. I will never order from Il Mondo again, delicious buffalo chicken pizza be damned. You don’t get my money if this is your excuse for customer service.

Lousy delivery service. Ordered at 1:50 pm. They are two blocks away. Pizza arrived an hour and 15 min later.

Really good Pizza… so happy to be back on the east coast where they know how to make Pizza… I really don’t understand how no one in Los Angeles knows how to make pizza, but then again there are a lot of things about Los Angeles that I just don’t understand.

Ordered for delivery while staying in Boston, Ma. Employee took my phone number three times and then said it would be 45 – 1 hour wait. I called 1.5 hours after that and the employee told me that they had incorrect phone number on file and could not get in touch with me when my food was ready, AFTER having already taken my CC info. I repeated my phone number back to them twice and the employee made it clear that HE had mistakenly taken down my phone number. I was clear to say my area code as it was different than the local area code-for the fifth time. He said it would be on the way-no apology, no offer, just a «thanks.» Now, my delivery still isn’t here an hour and a half later when the joint is less than ten minutes away from where I am staying. My caution is that you don’t order for delivery as the employee working the phone had no manners, sense of customer service OR the capability to take information. When food did arrive it came cold and I had to microwave it for almost 4 minutes. Just to be clear I ordered pizza and wings. However delivery driver was pleasant and apologized for the mishap. I feel a little bad I was in such a foul mood by the time they came. Follow up: Aside from the fiasco after the food was heated up it was really good, wings too! Recommend for taste, not for service or delivery

There was a USEDBAND-AID on my salad container. I ordered a salad for delivery as part of a group order from this restaurant last weekend. The restaurant forgot the salad dressing(for 2 salads ordered, including mine), so I called them and they were very polite and delivered several containers of dressing shortly thereafter. Then comes the nasty part: I opened the paper bag with my salad container in it, pulled the container out, and found a used bandaid stuck to the side of the container. Grosssss! Upon seeing that, not surprisingly, everyone else I ordered with lost their appetite too, so I promptly called the restaurant back to complain. The person who answered the phone was extremely unhelpful, blamed the delivery driver, offered me a store credit(as if I would ever, EVER want to get food from there again), and refused to give me my money back. I hung up and called back a few minutes later and asked to speak to a manager, whom I had to argue with for almost 15 minutes to convince him to refund our order(he only wanted to refund one individual salad), but none of us wanted to eat after seeing that! These guys really know how to add insult to injury. I would highly suggest staying far, far away from this restaurant — unless seeing other peoples’ bandages with your food is your thing.(It’s really not mine).

I came here because someone requested it. But they requested the other locations. This was closer so I gave it a try. I ordered the buffalo chicken pizza but had blue cheese added. Let me tell you!!! GREATSLICEOFPIZZA! Take my word for it. I have a pizza slice tattooed on me. The blue cheese doesn’t come on the pizza, it comes with ranch; but even that was delicious. Come here for a good slice of pizza. In addition to the pizza I also order a caprese sub and had chicken added. Not on the menu once again but Delicious. Staff was also super nice and accommodating to my orders that weren’t on the menu.

Stopped by on a Sunday. There were two guys working there. After we ordered, it took them a while to finish chatting with some women who were there before eventually getting to work on our subs. We ordered three subs for three people– big mistake! The subs are enormous and two people can easily share one. The eggplant parmigiana was very good. The chicken parmigiana was so so. The chicken was shredded. The bread was unimpressive. The pizza looked good. Worth another try.

Briefly: good when they get your order right. But… God help you if you ask for any alterations on your pizza. I ordered the Il Mondo pizza w/Broccoli, but for some reason they also put sausage on it. I also ordered the BBQ Chicken pizza w/pineapple, extra bbq sauce, and no onions… and they sent me a pizza with just cheese, and pineapple, drowned in bbq sauce. I called them and they sent me another bbq chicken pizza the way I wanted it, but it took them another 50 minutes. Also ordered a piece of the Oreo Cake, but don’t be fooled by the name, it’s just a piece of chocolate cake, not a cookies-and-cream cake like one would assume would accompany a name like«Oreo Cake». Maybe the piece of cake I got was the«Chocolate Mousse» listed on the dessert menu, but if that’s the case, they should probably call it «Chocolate Mousse Cake». But I doubt it, because I specifically asked if they had the Oreo Cake in stock(because I ordered it twice before and both times got a call back saying they didn’t have it), and the guy who took my order said they did.

I found them on a search of the area when I had a hunger for pizza. The reviews looked good, so I made my way there. The slices were as large as my seat, and delicious! The slices were warmed up, although could have been left in a little longer. But they were great. Try the buffalo chicken and the bbq slices. All was good, and the place was clean and the owner was friendly.

These guys do pizza well. You know how I know? Because it’s busy and people buy slices 2 at a time. On this particular occasion I went to Il Mondo because they proudly advertize having *fresh* fish and chips — so I thought I’d try it. It’s not on the menu so I asked how much and what does it come with. It comes with fries and a salad for $ 10 — OK, let me get that thanks. A few minutes later I get this impressive fillet of Haddock on top of fries and a side of Greek salad.(Great, anything but cole slaw.) The salad was nice. The olives with their salty, Calamatey, goodness and crumbs of fetee cheese doing its thing. unfortunately, their fryer temp is too low so the fish/fries came out greasy. And, if I was a betting man I’d bet a million dollars that the fish is frozen, not fresh, ’cause the meat was dry and fresh Haddock isn’t dry. Anyway, it wasn’t awful but I wouldn’t get it again. All in all, it was a nice visit. The staff are nice — I particularly enjoyed the cook’s singing and philosophizing about women — so I would recommend this place. It’s a good sign when the employees like working there. that’s all I’ve got.

Wouldn’t take our order. Told us to call the other location, even though they were only .4 miles away while the other location was 2 miles away. After we called the other location they tell us they dont deliver anymore! Tsk tsk we happened to order take out twice from their competitors. sucks to lose business like that.

I paid 7 something for a cheesesteak sandwich the size of my arm(exaggeration). Really though, the sandwich was delicious because they stuffed the toasted sub with so much meat. It wasn’t dry at all and the vegetables were a plus. Only issue I had was that it was that the flavor got old after a while. I needed jalapeños to enjoy the entire thing. Spicy food forever~

I ordered fish and chips and was pleasantly surprised. The fish was cooked nearly perfectly and the chips were cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. This is a good, albeit spartan restaurant but the food is good and the prices very reasonable! The only reason I didn’t rate The restaurant higher is because the condiment containers were very dirty! If you come bring wipes to clean the ketchup and seasoning containers! On the flip side, it is beside Berklee College of Music so I suppose lots of hands handle things in a hurry!

I was visiting Boston with my family and a friend in late September. We stopped at this pizzeria to grab a quick bite to eat before we went to the Mapparium, which was just a few doors down the block. This restaurant was just a random pick because of the proximity and we were more than pleased with our find. We walked by and checked out the menu at the window first. We also saw that they got a very high food rating, so we were confident this place would be decent. I, personally, thought it exceeded our expectations. The fish and chips was a generous portion and you can see that the fish was fresh. The thin crust pizza was excellent and tasty. Huge slices. Coming from the New York City area, I was pleasantly surprised about how good their pizza was. It was one of the best slices that I have ever had outside of New York City. The mozzarella sticks were perfect. Their burger was delicious too. The staff was very nice and friendly, even though I boldly walked into the restaurant wearing my New York Giants shirt in New England territory. They jokingly gave me a hard time, but it was all good. I would definitely recommend this pizzeria to my friends; and I would come back here for pizza if I’m ever in the city of Boston again.

This review is for pizza and eat-in only. No experience with other menu items or delivery. Probably the closest approximation to NY style pizza Boston has to offer. Slices are generously sized and come nicely mottled from the floor of the gas oven. The standard slices are excellent here. The Buffalo and Barbecue chicken slices are the best among the specialty slices, the others of which are only worth trying out of curiosity. Not the cleanest or tidiest but that’s usually the case. Staff is very friendly. A great spot for a slice in and around Back Bay/Prudential area. Easy to get in and out of during lunch.

When we moved in to our apartment a few months ago, we had no idea this gem was right around the corner. We’d pass it every day and shrug our shoulders. Just another small pizza place, we’d say. Tons of those in Boston, we’d say. Until we finally decided to go in one day and, boy, are we happy we did. The first time we tried Il Mondo, we kept it simple and tried the pizza. It was awesome. The crust was thin, which we like, and the ingredients were fresh and delicious. The second time we went we tried the mozzarella sticks and the mozzarella caprese salad. Both items were awesome. We added chicken to the caprese salad and it was high quality meat with great seasoning. Today, we went back for the third time. Feeling a bit under the weather due to the winter conditions, we ordered the homemade chicken soup and it did the trick. It was great and we perked right up. We also ordered the chicken cesar wrap and the chicken kabob dinner which came with fries(they were delicious) and a side salad. Everything was really tasy and I have to say, I’m quite impressed with Il Mondo. In addition, the staff is very friendly and accommodating and the portions are very generous. We feel very lucky to have a go-to place so close to us. If you’re in the area(Back Bay) make sure you stop by.
