i love going to see Kent, and have been for over 8 years now. i always walk in to a smile and a sweet greeting. I enjoy my conversations with Kent and am impressed at how he always remembers where I’ve last traveled so he can find out how the trip was. He can almost always accommodate me within a few days of when i need to come in for a cut/​blowdry. I love the way I feel when I leave there, my cut is perfect and my confidence is thru the roof, because I know my hair is just gorgeous!

Kent is an awesome stylist. His prices are extremely reasonable for the impeccable quality and he has an eye for helping you decide what kind of cut will look best for you. I don’t even have to tell him what kind of cut I want when I go in, I trust his opinion and it works out every time. I don’t trust my hair with anyone, and I thoroughly trust Kent.

There are only 2 people I trust to do my hair: Jose (Los Angeles) and ***KENT*** (Boston).
The first time I went to see Kent, I arrived 2 appointments early to watch him work. Yes, that sounds crazy and yes, hair eventually grows-​out; but why go through the hassle of bad hair when you can be proactive? So, I sat there like a stalker. Trust me, I was a complete weirdo. Sitting there staring at him while the salon magazines lay untouched. I’m sure I creeped him out the first time we met. (Let me quickly add, I no longer creep him out – he even did my hair for my Sonoma/​Napa wedding.)
Here’s what makes Kent better than the rest: He has an eye for aesthetics extending beyond hair. So while he’s a master with whipping-​up colors and creating Notice-​Me blow-​outs, it’s his ability to assess a client’s face/​look with a cut and style that transforms.
In my experience, depending on my needs/​moods, he’s taken my look from Über-​Sexy to Beach Breezy, and from vamp to angel. At times (i.e., post-​break-​up), he’s given me Edge and at other times, he’s softened my edges. He’s made me look younger and made me look powerful. He’s also acted as my creative-​look-​director, making sure my appearance never stales.
Kent keeps up-​to-​date with the changing trends and I completely trust his advice to make me look better than before.

I have been going to Kent for a few years now. He also did the hair for my wedding — I decided to have three different hair styles — one for each time I had a dress change. He was fabulous and I am so happy he was there on my big day!
But with that said, I see Kent every 2 – 3 months. He is so talented, and he knows I am low maintenance on the hair front and knows exactly how to cut it so that I always step out of the place looking like a supermodel.
I lived in Boston for many years and recently moved to NYC. I will still be going to Kent even though I live a few hours away now.
Whenever I need to book an appt, I just give him a ring and he pencils me in. The haircut is always super fast — only about 15minutes. I am always so impressed with how fast he moves and how he can make me look great in such a short time.
Whenever people have asked me about my haircut, I always refer them to Kent! I’ve recommended him many times now and would do so in a heartbeat — hence why I am posting up this review!
Anyway if you are looking for a new hair stylist in Boston, definitely call up Kent and give him a try. You won’t be dissappointed.

The first thing you might ask yourself is why is someone from NYC is writing a review about a hair stylist in Boston. Well it can be summarized quite easily, I still find myself schlepping in the car up to Boston to get a cut. Now I know this might not make sense, I mean we have more than our fair share of stylists down here — but I have to say Kent is really that good, I mean really damn good.
I’ve been going to Kent for 11 years and I have always been quite pleased. As has been pointed out previously, he really does try to fit in last minute appointments and that is how he hooked me as client so long ago and continues to keep me as I drop by for a cut whenever I am in town.
Over the years, Kent has changed up my hair style a number of times and I’ve always been very happy with what he has done and I’ve been complimented on numerous occasions — this being one of the true measures of a great cut. I mean who doesn’t like extra compliments! And he’s doing all this with a cut for me — who would’ve thought someone could go the extra mile for us guys too!
I’ve referred a number of people to Kent, and everyone has been ecstatic with the job he has done. Honestly, I can say if you want someone who knows what they are doing, does a great job with a great attitude and demeanor, and at a reasonable price — then give Kent a chance. But seriously, if you seen I’m in town — get out of the chair, it’s my turn…
