This place is CLOSED ‘until further notice’ according to a sign in front of their building. Giving them 1 star for being d’bags and not posting on their website that they’re closed. Excellent business plan there guys… close the restaurant yet don’t note it anywhere on your website so customers head there thinking it’s open. Thankfully I didn’t head there thinking it was open to eat, I had to go there and check if it was because my boss wanted to have a business lunch there so I went to the website and tried to make a reservation which I couldn’t so then I began calling which just gets a ‘fast busy signal’ so I walked there to see wtf was going on. They should at the very least have a working number with a voicemail stating the temporary closing. I’m guessing though with their business sense it probably won’t reopen.

I love this place! I stumbled upon it when shopping in Downtown Crossing and walking up to much it doesn’t look like a lot, the windows are glazed and it is hard to tell what type of place it is. Was very pleasantly surprised! Kingston Station has inventive specials, wonderful salads, amazing sandwiches, and fabulous cocktails. Highly recommended for lunch during the week or a casual dinner. Have had on/off service quality but hard to control that.

I really wish I reviewed this place on other visits, as it was 4 or 5 star worthy in the past. Came in and was looking forward for the chicken on a bed of polenta and the bartender who had moved back from California(she has always been warm and friendly). Sat down at the bar and when it seemed like a more than adequate time had past for me to be recognized, I looked at the time. I wasn’t acknowledge for another 6 minutes after looking at the time . Other than the lack of attention at first the service was not horrible, but could have been much better. The chicken was not on the menu so I ordered the chicken sandwich. Not the best, not the worst, but no where near worth the $ 14 they charge. I’ll prob give it a shot in the colder months(or check online) when hopefully the chicken comes back(again so good).

Came here for lunch one day while in town on business. Pretty much our entire party ordered the same thing: grilled cheese w/honey & bacon and tomato soup. And for good reason — it was SOOOOOGOOD. I loved the grilled cheese, and the smokiness from the bacon and sweetness from the honey. Really nice combo. The tomato soup was rich and creamy and very tomato-y — I loved it. One of our party also ordered cheese fries with a side of mayo(aioli, maybe?) — not a fan at all. Greasy and just not yummy at all. Iced tea was solid. Great lunch spot!

My dinner group went here on a early April Friday evening. RATINGS Food: 4 Service: 4 Décor: 4.5 Overall: 4 CAPSULEREVIEW Most diners said they’ve «always had a good experience» here, and liked the«cool décor»(though it’s «a little dark»), the«bright and refreshing» cocktails(though one’s was«too sweet»), and the«friendly and responsive» service. The food was«solid» to «excellent»(though some wished for a «[bigger] menu» and thought some complained of both over and«under seasoning».) Still, the place earned a «first Friday favorite» rating(as one of the best experiences this year.) ALLCOMMENTS Service was friendly and responsive. Décor was cavernous; lots of elbow room. Wished the menu had a few more options. My cocktail looked quite pretty, but was very sweet. I would return for the burgers and fries. – The Blood Orange Margarita was bright and refreshing. Food portions were all generous, the Plantain Chips and Hummus appetizer was tasty but could have used some more punch on flavor. The burger here was unbelievably juicy with bacon and eggs and seasoned perfectly, however the truffle fries were a bit over seasoned, combined with the burger. Despite inhaling lots of water, during and post meal. I had a horrible case of dry mouth on the way home and was not able to finish the generous amount of fries. This is my send trip here and I enjoyed coming back, but once agin found this place to be really warm inside. Despite the seasoning mishaps and warm interior, I would certainly head back. – Excellent chicken wings, crispy, yet tender, a very solid Moscow mule, and mac and cheese rounded out my dinner. I thoroughly enjoyed all 3, although the mac and cheese required a healthy dose of salt, to have some taste. I thought our waitress was attentive, on point, and quick with a water refill. I really like the décor at Kingston Station, it’s dark, but I like all the little touches like the ‘schedule’ board with all the cocktails. Overall Kingston Station is a great choice for drinks or food. This is my 4th time going and I’ve always had a good experience. – Always solid food, service and a cool décor here. And I’ve never seen it crowded which is nice. I had a good if small cup of soup and but excellent steak frites. Really nothing to complain about for me over multiple visits.

Very good fish and chips. It really hit the spot for a traditional pub experience. The resemblance to an English pub is striking. Warm and friendly service. Excellent halibut!

The service here is great. Came here with a large group(10) for lunch and our waitress was very attentive. We also got our food at the same time. I had the half soup, half sandwich. My turkey club was really tasty; I wish I ordered the entire sandwich! The chicken soup was okay and on the bland side. You cant leave this place without trying the truffle fries. They are amazing! Once you start eating them, you cant stop! As soon as you walk into this place, you get a wonderful whiff of truffle oil. Yum!

Amazing atmosphere, design and space. The establishment is huge and is a throwback era design. What a great find in this part of town!

The food is good here. I would not call it spectacular. Truffle fries? Eh, not my thing. I love the bar here. It big and in a wide open area. Lots of tables here too. Good spot.

Blood Orange Margarita was delicious and well made. Truffle fries were really yummy — enough for 3 or 4 people to share. Unfortunately, there were only 2 of us. We ate every last one, and then had trouble eating our main dinner. My daughter had the mac and cheese and it was served bubbling hot. I had the main burger with the fried egg, and it was cooked just as I asked.

Kingston Station is really underrated! The drinks are great, the atmosphere is a blend of european bistro meets New York old time bar and the food is well portioned.

Kingston Station is the perfect restaurant to get your dinner in before catching a show at the Boston Opera House, movie at the Boston Common Loews, or after a long day of shopping. It’s packed around lunch time, serving the working crowd in the financial district and right after work during happy hour. But it’s gem that will be practically empty when you go for dinner at the aforementioned times. Their cocktails are wonderful but their truffle fries are NOTTOBEMISSED!!! Enjoy this place as much as I do! Plus, they validate parking and the place is lovely inside. I never understand why there is never a wait at dinner.

I had a wonderful time at their bar on their first ever night hosting a gay event. The staff were overworked, but very professional. I accidentally left my credit card there and they were courteous enough to mail it to me with a little card and note! So cute. I’ll return.

Five star cocktails, three star food. I was really excited by the prospect of the truffle fries, because I could smell the truffle oil permeating throughout the entire restaurant. When we received them they were pretty tasty, but strangely, the truffle scent was muffled(or I was too used to it at that point). The gruyère was ok, but a bit bland. Not bad by any stretch, I just wanted a bit more flavor. The game burgers were really promising, but dry. Side of greens was good and well dressed. My cocktail, on the other hand, was FABULOUS. A delicious French 75 with lemon garnish, it was expertly mixed and had the perfect balance of gin and prosecco. Lovely! The place seemed hopping for after work drinks, and the restaurant side filled up around 7:30. Some people were dressed a bit casually in shorts, but due to it primarily hosting an after-work crowd, they stuck out.

We came here on a savored deal offering 25% off. We were looking for a place with scallops and truffle fries and this place fit the bill. We arrived at 7:30 on a Monday night to find a place that was all but abandoned. Perhaps 5 other groups present, 3 of which were at the bar. We ordered a couple drinks, which were good but not particularly memorable. We had truffle fries and mussels to start. The truffle fries were smothered in gruyère and are deserving of their reviews. They’re a must. The mussels were on the mediocre side. Both of us ordered the scallops for dinner. They were a little on the chewy side for my liking, but the flavors paired well and the gnocchi were just about perfect. The other half didn’t find them chewy at all and thought they were quite good. If anything, she’s the scallop expert(read: addict), so I’ll give them the benefit on this one.

Kingston is the Station for dranks n snax. Get off the train now for truffle fries and boozy bevs. Choo choo. Conduct yourself toward these fries STAT. The thick blanket of Gruyère really classes them up and mixes amazingly with the truffle oil, sea salt, and scallions. The amount of melty, gooey cheese is hefty, leaving few fries untouched. Just how I like it. A small order was enough to satisfy 4 salt-lovers. Don’t forget to visit this train’s beverage cart! A solid selection of reasonably-priced beers on draft are available in 2 different sizes. And for cocktails, the Moscow Mule is a must-try, as the freshness of the ingredients and bartender’s skill really shine through. A chunk of ginger graces the glass and combines flawlessly with the citrus! At $ 7 each, I feel like it’s only right to order a few. It’s a long trip, after all. On this occasion, entrees were also ordered, which turned out to be a misstep in our journey. Salmon bahn mi. Sounds tasty and different and ethnic, right? The name should be revised to dry salmon patty on hamburger bun. For $ 18, this lackluster sandwich and sad side salad did not satisfy. The station burger was good on flavor, but very heavy, especially considering our cheese fries app. Skip it. There are far better food stops along the rails.

Ahhh… the difference between three and five stars… coming here twice and getting a completely different portion. The first time I came, I had the best experience. The roasted duck leg that I had was incredibly tender. The sauce that they used was delicious and the carrots were soft and cooked well. I was definitely full off of my meal and enjoyed it so much that we bought another giltcity deal for it. The second time I came I was very disappointed. The duck leg that they gave me was significantly smaller than the first portion they gave me the first time that I went. It was almost a joke with the small amount that they gave me. The duck leg was like a baby duck. I had about 4 bites off of it. We had dinner at 7:30 pm, and when I got home at around 12:30 am later on, I wolfed down a turkey burger because I was starving. The food is good but I am upset that they screwed me with a tiny portion. REALLY tiny portion. It was like serving a 5 year old a kid’s meal. The giltcity deal isn’t that cheap either.

I went here for an early romantic dinner with my man. We went in the quieter side room, and had a good amount of quiet time before the crowds poured in. Even then, it remained fairly quiet which is a HUGE plus in my book. The décor is cool here — Parisian metro, I’m guessing? We ordered the Brie sandwiches with fig and jam(good), the tuna tartare(VERY good), and something else. I had steak and my date liked his burger. The fries are scrumptious, be-truffled or not. Service was just the right amount of attentive.
