Could be a great spot, but based on one visit for the Sunday brunch/music thing, here is the deal. If you’re going there to listen(mostly), you might find that the place is LOUD with people talking/yelling and just ignoring the GREAT music, and you can’t hear it or see the band. Too bad really. Something about the acoustics there… low ceiling, no curtains or dampening… that the din of slightly happy(drunk) people really amplifies and you can’t hear much unless you’re right near the band The food:…nice ideas but OMG, WTF is with the salt? Almost every element of every dish was super salty. Almost like a mistake for the black bean purée, like the got distracted and lost track of their adding or something. Crazy. Service was nice, coffee was decent. Place looks well kept. Take it up a notch and a bit less bar and bar-food influenced would help, if you’re trying to do a nice brunch thing on Sundays

Love this place. Sinatra Sunday brunch can’t be beat. Personally, I think it’s impossible to listen to Frank and not be in a good mood. The Sinatra impersonators here are outstanding and I’d come back again and again just to listen. The food is very good and plentiful and service top notch. Our waitress Nicky went out of her way to talk to me and my family and make us comfortable. Keep up the great work Lucky’s Lounge and thank you for making my Fathers Day special.

We ate here before we went to extreme beerfest. It’s a very small unassuming place it Woolf have been easy to walk right by it. I’m glad we stopped in. It’s a small place but seemed to have every spot of room utilized. We just beat the brunch crowd and were seated quickly. We sat at the bar and she was great. She made recommendations and suggested a blood Mary in a way that made me need to have one. It was fresh and went down way too easy. I always love a Monte Cristo and had to try it. First off it was huge. This thing had to be held with two hands. It was generously stuffed with ham cheese and turkey. It was very fresh. I have a huge appetite and was sad I couldn’t finish it all. Our food came out quickly and was hot. The bartender was attentive and did a good job making sure our drinks were full and food was good. Prices were decent for the amount of food we got. This is a place you can bring the kids or just go by yourself and sit at the bar and have a great meal. Definetly a great place to stop.

I love Luckys! The staff is really cool and the food portions are big. Great neighborhood place… not many venues in the area have live music so it’s always fun to duck in and enjoy the entertainment.

I think I love it here. We came in on a sunny Thursday afternoon and had trouble seeing when we came in as it’s so very dark! We managed to find the bar though(surprisingly…) The décor is really cool, loads of old school toys and stuff about, really relaxed atmosphere and awesome music playing in the background. The drinks were equally awesome. The cocktails were really nice(and not too expensive) and the scotch was a good price and a very generous serving. Sadly we didn’t eat but from what we saw the food at least looks good! I really want to come here when it’s busy. Super chill and fun vibe* with good drinks and an awesome atmosphere. *yes I said vibe. Feel like I should say rad or trendy now.

This is a hidden gem! We decided to try Lucky’s for a graduation brunch celebration and we were glad we did! It’s the kind of hole in the wall you’d usually walk right by but when you finally decide to stop in, you’re hooked. The food for brunch was really good. I had the Dynamite Double which is an egg and bacon sandwich with pancakes for buns. Too good to describe! I also ordered a Bloody Mary and let me tell you something, Lucky’s didn’t skimp on the booze. This was very much appreciated! The icing on the cake was the live jazz music. Such a fun atmosphere. I’ll definitely be going back soon.

All I can say regarding my experience in mediocre joints like this is simple. If the food isn’t right — send it back. If it’s what you ordered, and it’s cooked correctly, but you don’t like the way it tastes — send it back. If the wait staff is a pain in the ass, tip ‘em a fiver on the first round of drinks, say«please» and«thank you» and if they are still rude(or invisible), discreetly seek out the manager, and politely ask for a different wait person. Something like, «We seem to have caught our waiter/waitress during crunch time; can you possibly get us a server with more experience? We’ve been looking forward to coming here all week, and we’re not off to a very good start, I’m afraid. The manager will: 1.) Get you a different table with a different wait staff if something is available. 2.) Keep you at your table and pull a better wait staff to serve you and your party. 3.) Give you lip, in which case, you might be tempted to say, «Oh, I see how it is around here. If customers aren’t important to the management of this establishment, it’s no wonder the wait staff is so poor! Or you might just say, «Well, I’m sorry you can’t accommodate us, thanks for the free drinks, we’ll be leaving now.» Also, your power/energy points are: Bartender/Cook/Waitstaff. If the food is cooked but cold, it might be the waitresses fault. If the food is overcooked and hot, remember, your wait staff did not cook your food. Two things: Send it back, send it back, send it back. If it’s no good, do not eat it. Do not pay for it. If you and your friends are drinking, remember, tip a large denomination your first round — at least a fiver. This crap of waiting to see if the bartender deserves your tip, and playing cat and mouse all night long is for rookies. Readers of this review who are«real» drinkers will understand right away what I mean. You came to drink. Alcohol is a drug. This makes your bartender a drug dealer. There is not one place on this planet where disrespecting a drug dealer is a good idea. So tip heavy the first round. If he/she is attentive to your thirst when it’s time for the next round, tip them heavy again, once you’ve established the fact that you are a «professional» drinker and that your bartender is your lifeline to happiness, then you can just tip a buck or two a round. At the end of the night, tip 20% of your total drink bill if you intend on coming back. If you’re not thinking of making this a regular watering oasis, then tip out a normal 5 to 10 percent at the end of the night. Remember, you’ve been tipping him/her on every round. If it’s the waitress and she’s slammed, tip her heavy the first time. Get her name. Then when you go to use the restroom, go over to the bartender, introduce yourself quickly, calmly, and say, «We’re at Sheila’s table and I know you guys probably pool your tips, but please take this — and hand him a $ 10 spot for every 4 people in your party. Why do this? Well, restaurants really don’t make that much money on food. So when you send it back, it’s really no big deal. And the best way to tell a business they’re not getting it right is to simply refuse to eat it/pay for it. And if you’re running up a good bar tab, they won’t mind as much! This is just my opinion, based on 45 years as a professional musician who has worked in hundreds of clubs, bars, and restaurants all up and down the East coast and beyond. Cheers!

So disappointed with my last visit to Luckys. Haven’t been in awhile. After the hostile confrontation for ID at the hostess station, I ended up with a muddled sub par $ 20 plate of chicken tenders. Chef has no idea about flavor and complimentary sides. Such a shame. I used to love Luckys. At least the cocktails didn’t suck. But really… Whoever runs this place should be shot. You are killing Luckys.

The sliders were cooked rare for my meal, it cost $ 16.00, and took them 30 minutes to make. I am extremely unsatisfied. The management is no better. Also after writing this post Chef Luke contacted me to offer a refund… But then went back on his promise. I am not making this up, get your stuff together guys that is not professional what so ever I hope in the future no one else has the same experience I had.

I was visiting Boston for the first time for St. Patrick’s Day. My friends and I were staying across the street at the Marriott and the front desk recommended this place for good food. Looking at it from outside its hard to tell its there, but we found our way. After being greeted by the super friendly bouncer David, we wandered down the front stairs wearing all our St. Patricks Day green. The interior is dimly lit and there was live music playing. We ordered some cocktails and they came in larger than normal glasses and they were made perfectly strong! We ordered the tots and gravy to start and were blown away by how deliciously crispy they were, baked with cheese and a bowl of yummy gravy to dip them in. Honestly we kept trying to go back everyday to order these again but they only serve them for dinner Two of us order the corned beef and cabbage special for dinner and it was so good! We also ordered two desserts, the s’mores and the bread pudding, they were both epic but the s’mores won me over. It’s a cool chocolate pudding dip with marshmallow fluff and they give you soft cookies to spread it on… WOW! We did come back three more times for drinks before the parade, a snack and drinks after the parade, and lunch before flying home. We had the turkey pesto sandwich and the French dip for lunch and they were all cooked perfectly, and tasted addicting! This is a must visit for delicious food when in Boston! Unfortunately I can’t review the lounge portion because the line was down the block when we tried to go on a weekend night.

I came here for brunch on a Sunday when they have live music. I appreciate the live music, but I felt like it was a little too loud — I felt like I had to yell in order for someone to here me. They were also super packed and perhaps understaffed? I waited at least 30 minutes for my food to arrive after ordering. I got the eggs 3 way with turkey bacon, fried potatoes and white toast. I wanted the french toast but they ran out so I was super disappointed. The eggs were what you could get any where. The fried potatoes were a little soggy. All in all, I was a bit underwhelmed. This would have been great hangover food if I was hungover.

I went to Lucky’s Lounge for the first time on Saturday night for my birthday. It was such a great night and the staff was so accommodating! I called ahead and they reserved a small table for our group so we could have a home base for the night. It worked out perfectly. We had a group of about 15 and our server(I wish I remembered her name– she was fantastic!) let us open all separate tabs, she even offered it to us. We ordered apps which were delicious– I recommend the Gravy Tots. We were able to hang out by our table and then when the DJ started we were out on the dance floor. They have a free coat check too which was great as well. I was so impressed by the service and will definitely be recommending Lucky’s!

We visited Lucky’s last night for my birthday. I was immediately impressed by the singer who sounded exactly like Frank Sinatra. I loved the lounge vibe. The menu was short but offered a good variety. We ordered the tacos, beef sliders, tater tots and chicken tenders. They were all delicious. We also tried the caramel pretzel martini… dangerously delicious but I’d hold off and go for the oatmeal cookie martini. That was fantastic. The other members of our party who decided to actually eat their desert enjoyed the s’mores and bread pudding. Our bill was $ 250…expensive for four girls but I blame the martinis. Enjoy! Can’t wait to go back.

I had eaten here a long time ago and i thought it was ok, its difficult to judge this time as we had a very large party and some were raving about the food and others were not so thrilled. The appetizers are huge, so sharing would be a very good idea, the chicken dishes looked good and one dinner was well impressed with her chicken tenders, another loved the twice fried wings and chili The pork belly and roasted brussel sprout appetizer was easily shared between 3 of us. Service was good, especially in light of the number of members in our party! I’d recommend reservations especially at the weekend.

Ok place with a old old school vibe. On the loud side so if your going with a group your conversation could be limited due to noise level. I had the KENNEDY breakfast and it was delish. If I go back it would be with a smaller group.

The food here was delicious and our waitress was delightful. My friends and I made the mistake of going on a Friday night, however, so the place was packed and very loud, so the ambience left a lot to be desired. If we had gone earlier or maybe during the week, this definitely would’ve been a 5-star experience!

So disappointed. Sold as Sinatra dinner. Haven’t heard one Sinatra song yet. Lots of jazz. Band in jeans and plaid shirts. Need to step it up. So sad! Not at all what we expected. Gives a bad name to Lucky’s and Living Social. Only gave one star because I had I didn’t have a choice.

I am writing a sad review because I live in the neighborhood and loved getting the mac n cheese as a wonderful comfort food but was very sad to discover that they changed the recipe. Gone is the gooey cheese and homey, ritz-cracker crumble on top. It looks like they have attempted to class it up by making the sauce with brie in it and tossing a whole slice of brie on top but it was so much worse than the older recipe!!! This is a plea. Please bring back the older mac and cheese, it was so good and I miss it dearly.

A bit frayed around the edges, but a couple of Sam’s, and some of their awesome Sliders are great start to either a kick-back, or kick-out night here. Staff have always been great to me and mine, the typical crowd is mostly human. Love the place for the most part.

I am quickly learning that every«standard» restaurant in Boston has the SAMEMENU. Steak frites. Fish and chips. Flatbread. Clam chowder. Nachos. Chicken tenders. Etc. That being said, fortunately they make those items pretty well at Lucky’s Lounge. The nacho’s were terrific, the grilled cheese was excellent, and the tomato bisque is really good. Great music on Thursday nights, too, Conscious Reggae Band. Recommended.

I am surprised this place doesn’t have better reviews. I have lived in Boston since 2011 and work close by and managed to finally come and get in this past Saturday. Around 10pm the line moved quite quickly and we even made friends in the line which was nice. The good: +Free coat check. Very nice Armenian girl working it, kudos for her for putting up with drunk a-holes all night. +awesome drinks that are strong, great service getting a drink, and not too expensive at all. +awesome DJ and dance music +actually good looking people here(!!). It felt like swiping through a Tinder Account as you looked up – everyone was single, cute, and dressed well for the most part. +awesome bouncer. Jared as nice enough to hold my jacket at the back area when the coat check was full and he didn’t even take the tip I offered him. He was super cool and hooked it up for for us ladies. Def will be back, this is my new fave spot to get hammered.

I don’t mind a surcharge when it is clearly communicated to me. But here at Lucky’s Lounge, it wasn’t mentioned to me when I placed my order, it wasn’t clearly itemized on the receipt, and when I inquired as to the price differential from that quoted on the menu, I was apologetically told that the menu stated the dollar upcharge for the sweet potato fries. I had taken a photo of said menu, and no it didn’t. Okay, now that I got that out of the way, rant over. Sorry, it is a particular pet peeve of mine. We visited Lucky’s Lounge one Sunday for their Sinatra Brunch. Given the rather full room it seemed wise that we had made reservations ahead of time. The back room was closed off, so everyone was clustered in the front room. The music was loud(when they were playing) and the buzz from the customers were as well. This was not a place for a bit of quiet conversation. It took about 20 min for the food to arrive at the table, but once it did, we were impressed with the portions. Each of the breakfast dishes came with a choice of potatoes which arrived as a mountain alongside the main course. My french toast($ 12) came with both a choice of potatoes and meat, which shoved my selected corned beef hash onto its own separate plate, while the generous pile of crisp sweet potato fries nestled beside the twin humungo thick slices of cinnamon bread dipped(not soaked, so, sadly, no custardy center) in egg batter. Yes, I could only finish half and took the rest home with me for another meal. We sampled each other’s dishes, and of the other potatoes, I found that I preferred the fried potatoes over and above the home fries, but the sweet potato fries took the cake. They were well worth the dollar surcharge… too bad they didn’t just tell me about it in the first place.(oops, sorry!) One DC had a smaller appetite than normal, so she opted for a single flapjack($ 5) and added a load of mixed berries($ 2), which pleasantly arrived not only topping her pancake, but was found mixed into the batter as well. The eggs benedicts at the table oozed appropriately, and the Porchetta & Egg breakfast sandwich $ 14 looked terrific! The restaurant itself is located on a corner across the street from Menton on Congress Street. It is a slightly subterranean establishment located 4 steps down, then another single step before you enter the actual restaurant. My pet peeve and the noisiness of the place rounds this review down from 3.5 stars.

For the Lounge only: Came to Lucky’s to celebrate a friends birthday on a Saturday night. We arrived late but Lucky’s had accommodated the party really well giving us a corner booth with a table of apps set up in the corner. As the bar got more and more full we were still able to have our own little corner of the lounge. Lucky’s even brought out the birthday cake with a candle during the Saturday night rush hour which began a birthday song vs DJ battle. The dance floor side was extremely crowded, to the point you could not walk through without asking someone to move or bumping your way through. We had a dedicated server for our group and she was amazing. Constantly checked up on every body in the group, and helped with the flow of the night. She even was bringing cake slices around for people that may have not seen it in the corner table. Unfortunately as great as the service was the drinks were equally horrendous. Watching the bartender make my wife a long island, it was all syrup and a little soda with a pinch of liquor. The drink was disgusting but we bit our tongues and didn’t return it. All the mixed drinks were very weak on the liquor. Their prices for mixed drinks are actually on the lower end for Boston club/lounge scene but in this case you truly get what you pay for. You are better off ordering a straight soda and a shot and mixing the drink yourself.

Lucky Lounge is a great place for a killer mojito! I have visited a few times when bar hopping in the area with friends. A few years ago was delighted when u had dinner with family their. My most recent visit was during the afternoon three weeks ago while waiting for a local brewery Trillum to open. I got a mimosa and French fries. We were waiting for more people to have lunch and the French fries were delicious ! Staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. Luckys Lounge has an old timey feel. With pictures of Frank Sinatra and hand drawn sharknado chalkboard artwork, I was thoroughly entertained by the eclectic decorations. Definitely a family friendly atmosphere during the day too!

This is quite an unassuming kinda bar that has a very pub like vibe to it. One can describe the vibe as — old-school, semi-campy, not grungy or divey… I like places that are at a level that is lower than the actual street where you get the feeling you are going into someone’s basement and woh — this basement is quite nice and as said before — very old school, that has the kind of nostalgia about it as if you are transported back into the 80s when you were a tiny little kid and wanted to go out on your own, but you could not because you were a kid… But now you are young and not living in the 80s and everyone around you is trying to catch on the hippie movement from the 80s, in the 2010s and you get to pre-game before a Bryan Adams concert, who was huge in the 80s and it is all full circle when you go to Lucky’s. 5 stars for the ambiance right off the bat! For a Wednesday night, the place was busy — quite expectedly so. We parked ourselves at the bar, because the booths seemed a bit more darker — thanks to the lighting. And plus we were kind of in a rush and wanted nothing too elaborate. So we ordered the sliders and got ourselves a couple of drinks. The bartender had his hands full. But because it was not a huge bar, things were under control. Our food came out on time — it was a good trio of sliders, very well done. 3 to 4 stars between food, service et al… I will have to come back again for something more, for sure. PS: An insignificant detail — can be treated as a statutory warning: No Cellular network downstairs nor WiFi — your time here will be without any access to outside world. Can be a good or bad thing depending on your obsession with your phone. I survived pretty darn well.

Oh Lucky you never disappoint. Ever!!! Was making my way to Jerry Remy’s but decided to stop here instead. Parking is juts right across the street so why not? We had a great time here. The band started at 10:30pm and the music was great. The crowd was fantastic, the drinks were cheap and strong and the bartender at some point gave us a round of beers on the house because he mentioned my date was being very generous to him. That was a nice touch on his part. I had a great time and I should make my way here more often

Take the Summer St. bridge from Boston to the seaport and descend from the overpass using the iron stairway onto A street below. Lucky’s is close. Hopefully armed with an ID and before the line forms, descend further below A Street into a chic, gangster themed, speakeasy mock up. Seating and bar on the right, band and bar to the left. The right side is comfortable and calm, the right bright, loud and frenetic. Usually a good band lighting it up for those dancing. Drink frequently and have a good time.

Came here with three friends on Friday, after attending First Friday at the ICA. The bar is largely underground, so it’s a bit tough to identify from the outside. Fortunately, one of our group knew exactly where it is(I might have gotten lost if I was trying to find it myself!) The setting is very loud, although I would expect this of any sports bar and/or live music venue. The night we visited might have been especially crowded because a large group had reserved two tables for a birthday party. Since the bar area is already quite small, this meant that the space was very crowded. I ordered one of the winter drinks(don’t remember the name, but it was one of the last ones in the left-hand column of the cocktail menu). The drink was okay, but had a STRONG cinnamon flavor. Be warned! The food was delicious. If you visit, be sure to order the nachos! The plate was stacked high and covered in toppings. The nachos were also delightfully crispy. I hate soggy, chewy nachos, so this was awesome! We also ordered the corn dogs. They were pretty good, but did not stand out to me as exceptional. They come with three dipping sauces: ketchup, spicy mayo, and a sweet sauce that was probably a honey glaze. It was pretty fun to try each of the sauces, but the dough could have used more flavor. The band started way late — probably close to 11PM. However, they were worth the wait! The music was pretty contemporary, with a mix of pop, hip-hop, and rap. Great for dancing, if only there were more room. If this band plays regularly, I would definitely go back to hear them again.
