I liked it. I ate here at Lunch time. The service was fast, and the food arrived very fast as well. I was actually surprised how fast it all arrived at the table… They have Vegetarian and Gluten Free options: salads, burgers and sandwiches. All tastes good.

Went for dinner and sat outside on a comfortable evening. Service was A+, fantastic. Great waitress, food came quickly. Appetizers and drinks were solid, but the food was average. The sides were decent, but the main course(Trout) just didn’t blow me away. Would come back but maybe try some different fare.

Overpriced brunch, but at least it’s classy. I went with a friend on a Saturday morning; we’d made reservations, which was good because it was pretty crowded. I decided to get the green goddess kale salad and add an egg; my friend got the avocado toast. The salad was ok; to be honest I could’ve made a better one myself; it was also very expensive. There are much better brunch options in Back Bay, and especially in the rest of Boston.

The service is TERRIBLE every time — even weekdays at 11am or 2pm(except at the bars which is the only reason for 2 stars). My last experience was my tipping point and I likely won’t be back. I ordered a French 75 and the waiter brought me something pinkish-purple in a martini glass. I thought maybe he brought a Met 75 — their version and he said no it’s a French 75 and to try it and he’ll be right back. I tried it, my friends tried it — not a French 75, no gin, no champagne. He came back and I told him this isn’t a French 75. He insisted that a French 75 is made with raspberry vodka — he IS a bartender so he can make me whatever I want but that’s a French 75. This is the incredible part: he then proceeded to tell me to «Google it.» Which my friend did and oh wait, turns out he’s wrong. He told me he’d go check with his manager, who has more bartending experience. Ten minutes later he comes back with an actual French 75. Still charged for the drink and didn’t apologize until he handed me the bill. Mediocre food and inattentive, rude waiters. Plenty of better places on Newbury.

Went with friends, we did the self-sitting downstairs. Service was good and food was delicious. Would definitely come back!

The drinks here are great, I haven’t had one here I didn’t like. The food is okay, the avocado toast was good but not the best I’ve had, and their white sangria is perfect for summer.

Because the food was delicious, they get 3 stars, but the service was terrible. Our server did look busy as he had 2 other tables, and being a server myself I can completely understand that. However, this is more of a high-end dining experience and I expected better service. The worst part is that a runner brings out the entire tables food on a large tray and leaves it on a makeshift station at the front of a busy hallway where everyone walks in and out of the dining room. The server comes to get it after its been set down and brings it to the table. When I walked out of the restaurant, I walked by an entire tray of a tables dinner in the hallway, completed out in the open. The family next to us didn’t receive their drinks until after appetizers and never received their salads. They had a worse experience than we did, but I wouldn’t ever come back.

I’ve now been to MET on back-to-back Sundays for brunch. While the wait could be long(even with reservations), it is well worth it. The brunch menu is excellent, and their Salmon Flatbread app is a must-try. Naturally, people come flocking in for MET’s famous Bloody Mary. They do a great job with the Bloody’s, I enjoyed a Lobster Claw with mine, but I only do 1 Bloody per sitting so moved on quickly to their Manhattan after that. It’s definitely a questionable move to follow up a BM with a Manhattan, especially at brunch — so you might go for a Mimosa or a Manmosa(With Orange Vodka) if you’re really trying to kick it into second gear. After sitting in both the Restaurant and at the Bar I’d prefer the bar. Bartenders are friendly, even after having to serve countless Bloody Marys(my least favorite drink to make) and make good recommendations. The dining room is nice but again the wait can be long. Try the California Hen House Hash, you won’t be disappointed — unless of course you’re a Communist. –Mike

The Met had a nice private room that looks out to Dartmouth St. and likely seats ~15 people comfortably. The menu offering is a mix of classic American dishes and some have an Asian twist. The steak tips were cooked to medium to medium-well, a bit tough to cut but came with good sized portions of broccoli and cheese mashed potatoes. I would have liked the meat braised longer so it would be more tender. The size of the chocolate cake was much larger than I anticipated which is always positive. The layers of moist chocolate cake were interlaced with chocolate butter cream frosting. Delicious and the best part of the meal. Overall, a satisfying meal but not a go-to spot in the Back Bay.

I finally went in to give this place a shot with the aide of restaurant week. The highlight of my night was our waiter Miguel. The drinks where well made, a little pricey but I expected that based on the location. The appetizers where delicious except for the artichoke hash, it was prickly and not in a interesting culinary experience way but painful and I’m not touching this plate kind of way. The place was packed so service reflected as much. The meal overall was delicious and despite visiting on a cheaper menu the bill was still pretty high at the end(totally my own fault) . I’ll visit again for a really nice celebratory evening but sadly not for more regular dining.

Food here is 3 stars but the Blood Mary Bar is easily 5 stars! I definitely would recommend this restaurant if it is your first time in Boston or if you never have been here before. I like the avocado toast and the salmon flat bread. I usually don’t order healthy for brunch but I get those two items with a Blood Mary(with the hamburger) which is a meal in itself, and naturally the best way to start your day. PS. If you are thinking brunch, they get busy very fast so I would make a reservation.

I came here with a friend for drinks and appetizers and it’s a pretty casual and relaxing place. Our server Miguel(I think) was very friendly and at the same time not too overwhelming since we needed to play catch up. We ordered a pitcher of red sangria, which was delicious, and a Greek mezze platter which is definitely something I would recommend if you enjoy hummus, olives, and little tastings here and there. Plus, they offer free refills on their warm pittas if you run out for your dippings! We ordered the chicken Parmesan to split at the end, and our sever warned us it would be a lot of food. We underestimated and completely guessed the wrong idea of what the chicken Parmesan here was! Instead of a chicken Parmesan pasta, we got a large size pizza looking Parmesan! It was great except it was only the two of us and there was no way we could’ve finished that on our own! Suggestion: please bring 3 friends with you to take the chicken parm challenge!

Stopped in for brunch this past Sunday and this location was crazy busy. Luckily, we had a reservation and it was honored even though we were a little late. With all the choices for brunch on Newbury, we chose this place to fulfill my daughter’s chocolate craving with the awesome Hot Chocolate Experience. Each little hot chocolate cup was decorated with something different. Marshmallows on one, almond biscotti in another, cinnamon stick in yet another and a candy cane for the last one. It was a dream for the birthday girl. Also, despite their mediocre 3 star ratings, I will vouch for their falafel burgers here. I’ve been on the prowl for a restaurant to make a decent, moist falafel wrap or sandwich and I must say, it was quite delish. Course, making it Paris style with a fried egg, cheese, caramelized onions and truffle mayo would up the WOW factor on any burger. The only thing that could’ve possibly made that burger taste even better is if they toasted the wheat bun. Otherwise, it’s one of the tastiest veggie burgers I’ve had in a while. Highly recommended. We left with our tummies full and smiles on our faces. We shall be back!

After seeing all of the awesome looking photos of Bloody Mary’s on their page I was super pumped to come here! A group of us were meeting for brunch to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and overall we had a great experience. It’s clear that they do a good business as people just kept coming and coming. Luckily we had a reservation and were seated right away. My only complaint about our experience is that the room we were in was very warm. We were seated in the front section where the sun shines directly through and most of us were sweating a bit. The rest of the meal, however, went well. They have a whole customizable Bloody Mary list that you can fill out with all of your desired fixings and then hand it off to your server. You can choose everything from the liquor to the rim, mix, heat level, and of course toppings. What I found most amazing was that you could order a mini cheeseburger on top. So obviously I did that. The drink itself was great especially since I got to make it specifically to my liking and the cheeseburger was actually really delicious. I would love to go back to try one of their regular sized burgers as my main meal it was that good! For the rest of my order, I went with the Captain Crunch french toast which was also really yummy and everyone else at the table thought so too! I also had the chance to taste a bite of the Croque Madame as well as the three cheese omelet. Both of these were excellent! Overall, it was a great time and I know I’ll definitely be back for more Bloody Mary bar as well as the rest of their tempting menu!

Stopped in here for a quick drink during a Saturday full of shopping on Newbury St. Our group opted for the casual bar down the stairs. From what I could see the drink of choice for most was the signature make your own Bloody Mary’s. Our group of four split a bottle of Rosé. The price was pretty standard about $ 10 a glass. The bar was a bit crowded, but after about 15 minutes some space opened up and our group of 4 was able to sit comfortably. Great place to break up our day shopping on Newbury St.

I would like to give this restsurant a better rating as the food is 4.5 to 5 stars. The atmosphere is 5 stars. The services is at best 3 stars. The drinks are very bad most 2 stars. No shots, no bottles nothing you would expect from a bar. Bur I would come back again for the food.

We seem to always come here for our«team dinners» when we gather folk from across NA and are in Boston. It’s average in price range given the location and I’d give it 3.5 starts overall. Location is fantastic and in the heart of Copley Square, nice décor, always packed, has a decent bar scene downstairs. However, if you are eating with a group of 6 or more — I would not recommend their large booths. It’s just awkward when being served, clearing the tables, people getting in and out. The layout/design just isn’t smart. Anyway, onto the food. The chicken parm was huge and could easily feed 3 – 4 people. It’s pounded so flat and tasty, but wow it is so large. I shared the seafood tower and would definitely recommend that given the price — 6 oysters, lobster was delicious, and shrimps were large. That was definitely a 4.5 start meal. The other folks had the steak, French onion soup, Calamari(not bad), Lobster mac and cheese(yummy, but it’s mostly mac not so much lobster). Overall, you can’t beat the price and quantity if you are on a budget. It’s still generic«American» food with ok taste, but this place won’t wow you with uniqueness or fantastic flavors if you get my drift. I’m sure we’ll be back many more times for the reasons above.

After seeing sporadic pictures of these insane bloody Mary’s popping up on my social media feeds every so often, I figured it was finally time to try one of my own(mostly for the instagram pic duh). It was by far the best part of our meal today. We made reservations 24 hours in advance and there was limited availability but we were seated immediately when we arrived. The seats were amazingly comfy and the atmosphere was cool but cozy. We ordered our drinks(bloody with all the fixings) but we’re disappointed that it took just as long to get our drinks as it did to get our meals. They were delivered at the exact same time which was a bummer. No time to sip and enjoy them before getting to our meal. One of us got the mini slider on the bloody and another got the JUMBO shrimp. Both were worth the $ 5 add on price. I recommend adding met sauce to your bloody. The entrees were all impressive. The madame croque sandwich was flavorful but sophisticated with a delicious sauce, smokey ham and plenty of melty gruyère cheese. The truffle fries were the perfect compliment. The pork stuffed hash brown was good also. The jalapeño hollandaise sauce was definitely the highlight of the dish.

Following a rather unenjoyable brunch at Met Nantucket, I felt hesitant to dive in for an early dinner at The Back Bay location But, she wanted French onion soup(of all things) and they fulfilled the need. Who am I to argue with a pregnant woman?! Only the downstairs bar are is open prior to 5p, so we snagged a pair of stool at the charcuterie side bar. There’s something both enthralling and terrify about watching salamis thinly sliced within arms’ reach. Not that you should; a whirling blade is not the most explorable device. To the food, her $ 9 cuppa soup definitely covered the onion quota, with a savory, salted beef broth disappearing quickly, and 2⁄3 of a crock still swimming with stewed onions. I went all-natural turkey burger($ 18) LA style, cooked a bit dry and thankfully slathered with smashed avocado, bacon, alleged sprouts(there were none), lettuce, tomato and a mild garlic aioli. A wee mound of crispy fries on the side, and we were golden, although with all those textures, fats and flavors, the final product was one-note. Should have waited for Monday night, when the more slight version of three different burger offerings run a paltry $ 5 each. Pair it with a $ 6 beer from a decent bottle run, and you’ve got yourself a little platter of affordable luxe. I just wish the burger sent me swooning, instead of riding the A-OK train! Til next time, I reckon.

Came here for girls brunch after a night out. Thankfully we made reservations for this way ahead of time because the place was packed. Food was okay, a little pricey. I got the eggs and biscuit benedict(I really need to stop getting eggs Benedict!!! But it’s too good). This one wasn’t particularly any different than other restaurants with their eggs Benedict. It was good. Some friends got the California hen hash house and that looked delicious! Service on a Saturday during prime time brunch hours was poor. It was difficult to find out waiter and we were there a lot longer since it took awhile for us to order, to pay, and to get our check back. I wouldn’t be opposed to coming back here(décor of the restaurant is really pretty), but I just thought the food was okay and that it was a little pricey. (I did see a table next to us that had ordered bloody Mary’s and it came with a slider attached to it… So I’m intrigued to see what that’s like!)
