I went to Nurture/​Paige for the first time and asked her to make me a light ashy blonde… Something I asked my regular hairdresser to do several times, but it wasn’t going as I’d hoped. I have naturally medium-​darker brown hair, and I already had some foils in my hair and some old color (dark brown), and the foils were brassier/​darker than I wanted. Paige did a combination of balayage, full foils, and a purple/​silver combo toner and got me to exactly the color I wanted… Without frying my hair. And the cut was great too. I am very happy with how my hair came out & my overall experience at Nurture. I’ll definitely go back.

I was looking for a quality salon in Southie and came across this gem of a salon. It was a wonderful experience. Neri was my colorist and stylist and she did a great job. Susan the owner was kind and the salon’s atmosphere was chic and comfortable. I am definitely coming back.

I’ve been searching for a great hair dresser since I moved to Boston 2 years ago and finally found her at nurture! Rachel M took my fried, brassy, and damaged hair and brought it back to life. I first went for a balayage and hair cut. Both were exactly want I wanted. I recently went back for a full foil on my dark brown hair and the highlights are as perfect as I could’ve asked for. They are nice and thin so it looks very natural and the cut feels and looks amazing. I will be coming back to Rachel and recommending her to my friends! Jessica did an amazing job! I have never gotten a hair cut that I liked more than the one Jessica gave me. She was warm, funny, and easy to talk to. She made sure she had the exact idea of what I wanted before she started cutting my hair. I also saw her for an updo and make-​up for a night out and she made me look and feel BEAUTIFUL!!!

I found Nurture on Unilocal after reading countless positive reviews. I wanted balayage but didn’t know who to go to, and having the same colorist for 5+ years, I was definitely nervous. After reading — literally — only positive reviews about Paige Talbot, I knew I would be in good hands. I hadn’t had my hair done in months so I had these awkward, gross roots, but Paige brought my hair back to life! Not only does the color look phenomenal but I feel like I got an all over makeover. We cut off a few inches and put layers/​angles in. She is an amazing colorist, super nice, laid back, funny, everything you’d want! Can’t say enough good things.
Overall a great experience, already booked my next appointment before I left the salon!

I’ve been coming to Nurture for a long time and I highly recommend this salon. The salon is always beautifully decorated and impeccably clean! Last but certainly not least the staff is amaZing! Moving to South Boston in 2014 meant finding a new salon. I am so grateful for a friend telling me about Nurture Salon and Spa. Susan Devlin the owner is fantastic and found a great match for my hair needs and the salon is beautiful and comfortable. Susan made my first appointment with Casey McGoff.
Casey McGoff is talented, dedicated, and fun! I always ask her for new ideas and her opinion and we work together with my vision and her styles. I even tried extensions with her that I absolutely love. She is fantastic with extensions and matching them to my hair. She goes to conferences and workshops to stay up to date with styles, colors, and techniques and makes recommendations for me all the time.
I trust her with my look to the point of asking her to do my hair and makeup for my wedding this coming October 2015 and look forward to how she will make me look and feel on that day. I would recommend Casey McGoff and Nurture Salon and Spa to anyone.

I had an extremely horrible day yesterday and had a 5:30 appointment with Paige. As soon as I sat down she took measures to make me feel better and let me vent my day. She is a pure source of entertainment and will lift any spirit. She did an amazing partial foil and added a gloss that made my hair look 10x better than normal. I I left Paige feeling amazing and in a way better mood. I wouldn’t go to anyone else for my hair. Thanks Paige!

Dont do it. Crappy overpriced hair cut and color. SOOOOO many other places in Southie you can choose from. Tried this salon two times. Fool me once… shame on you Fool me twice… shame on me

Paige is a perfect combination of talent and entertainment. I look forward to my monthly color and style appts at Nurture. I LOVE my new balayage and she never minds that I’m slightly crazy about my bang length! I leave every appointment thoroughly satisfied and looking smashing!

Myia is great! I keep coming back for a men’s cut here.
They do wash at the end of the hair cut but comes with a good massaging of the scalp to make sure the cut hairs are removed.

This is a southie gem! I moved here and was scared to go anywhere to get my hair done because I had been going to the same person for so many years. Now I won’t go anywhere but Nurture! Paige is amazing she cleaned up my dead ends abs gave me a great fresh cut. She gave me honest advice and I didn’t feel pressured to cut my hair a certain way! I see Paige ever six weeks and am in love with how my hair looks and feels. They have great products too, which add to the beauty of my locks.
In addition to my love for Paige I see Jean for massage therapy. Jean is the most professional massage therapist I have ever been to. She took the time at my first appointment to get to know me and my areas of concern. She is kind and incredibly talented. I see Jean once a month and love the effects that massage therapy have had on my health and wellness routine!

I was giddy with excitement the whole walk home from Nurture Salon & Spa that I knew I had to come share this life changing experience. I realize that’s a bit extreme, but if you have curly hair you’ll soon understand why!
I’m so thankful it was raining today, otherwise I would not have taken Kasey up on trying out the Deva Curl products on my curly hair. Typically my favorite part about a hair cut is the blow dry, like most curly-​haired-​ladies, I’m assuming. Kasey walked me through the Deva Curl product like I was talking to an old friend about her hair tips. Apparently there’s even a specific type of hair cut that goes along with the product! Who knew?! Anyway, I cringed as she was putting me under the heat knowing what comes next… frizz party. Complete opposite. My curls have never looked so soft and nourished.
I left the salon with the Deva Curl products (there’s a shampoo, conditioner, and gel treatment). It was my first experience at Nurture Salon and I will definitely be trying it out again. Thank you, Kasey, for introducing me to this product. I’m seriously going to call all my curly-​haired friends and rave about this experience.
The salon itself was inviting, stylish, well maintained with a ton of staff. It was a great atmosphere and everyone was quite pleasant.

I highly recommend Paige for anyone looking for an amazing color and cut! I’ve been to her twice now, once for a partial foil and once for a mini foil. Paige knew exactly what I wanted to do with my hair and she gave me the best color I’ve ever had! Not only is she very smart with her technical knowledge of hair color, but also she is a genuinely awesome person who makes the time spent in the chair fly by!

People are super nice. Went there for the first time and felt like I had been going there forever as they treated me so kindly. Also the hair cut (slightly important part of a salon I guess) came out great!
Will def be making this my regular salon.

Have been thrilled with my experiences at Nurture. Myia continues to amaze with her incredible eye for color application and her stellar, long-​lasting cuts… and I can’t wait for her to do the bride and bridal party’s hair for my best friend’s wedding this summer. Nuture is a beautiful salon — the sweetest owner and staff. Tons of sunlight and nice amenities — for example, they can loan you an iPad to use while you are waiting for your stylist and for your color to process.
I’ve also gotten a fantastic eyebrow waxing and a very good bikini wax as well from Cindy. (hopefully I have her name right! she is the only esthetician at the salon)

MASSAGE REVIEW ONLY: I wanted to give a review of the amazing massage that I just had with Jean. I feel so much better and it was one of the best massages I have received, well — ever! In fact I bought a package of massages and will be going back for more. IMO, here is what made it great:
1) Jean was very thorough with asking questions before we started. She wanted to know about every ache and pain, where to focus, etc. I hate when massage places just plop you on the table and give the standard massage without asking about problem areas. She even asked if it was okay to massage the glutes– explaining that could be causing some of my problems. Keepin’ it classy, Jean! Sometimes the massage therapists sneak up on your bum and its a little bit of a surprise, but this time I knew it was coming!
2) She knows her stuff. You can tell Jean has a lot of experience and knows the muscles and bones in and out. Every place I had a knot and asked her about, she explained where it was, why it hurt, etc.
3) She uses a GOOD and APPROPRIATE AMOUNT of massage cream. It doesn’t smell but most importantly– I hate getting a massage where they grease you up like Taj in the scene from Van Wilder. I was not greasy at all when we were done.
4) She talked with me after the massage to really give me helpful tips on what to do at home, stretchign etc. She wasn’t trying to rush me out, even though her shift had already ended.
5) I feel AMAZING! I have tons of knots in my shoulders and chronic neck pain. RIght now I feel completely relaxed and no pain at all. When the massage was coming to an end I was praying to sweet baby Jesus that it could go on for just 5 more minutes.
I am counting down until my next appt. Oh yeah, and she gave me a discount for commiting to a package of 4 massage.
