PhotoWalks

I recently went on a photo walk around Beacon Hill and enjoyed meeting the host of our walk, Saba. She was both very knowledgable about cameras as well as how to take the best shot in addition to telling us historical facts about the area. I will for sure sign up for another photo walk with her in the future.

This was a fantastic tour. As a long time resident of Boston and history buff it’s always nice to get a fresh perspective on the city! I learned interesting new facts and saw parts of Beacon Hill I had never noticed before. Also a great way to learn more about photography for the novice photographer. Saba is a great teacher and made the experience a lot of fun. I would highly recommend this for a tourist who wants to get an in depth look at the city, or for those who live in Boston looking for something different and interesting to do!

What a wonderful way to see parts of Boston. We went on the Beacon Hill tour and our tour guide not only showed us unique parts of Beacon Hill as well as the history that went along with that area, she also indicated great locations and types of photos to take. She would help with making sure our camera was using the correct f. stops and shutter speeds to get the desired effects as well as making sure the correct exposures were used.
She was very nice and friendly and the tour was well worth it. I am planning on going back and doing the North End tour soon!

A group of four of us went on the new photo scavenger hunt offered for the Fenway/​Commonwealth Ave. area. We were given a list of clues, many of which involved taking pictures of landmarks or items. You either need a lot of Boston history knowledge, or a smart phone :) You compete against other groups to complete as many clues as possible in the allotted time (3 hours which was more then enough). We had a good time searching for the clues, working together etc. You have to use your brain, its not a guided tour, you’re team is on its own.
Overall a good time. The owner was very nice and checked in with us to make sure we weren’t lost (3 of the group were from out of town). I think the more the merrier in this type of activity, and pick a day with comfortable weather. It was crazy hot when we went and there’s a good amount of walking.
