This is simply a gorgeous building! WOW! Perhaps the most gorgeous modern building that I saw in all of Boston during my last week spent there. I love the high dome. The arches that are on two sides of it, the floor under it and the small dome behind it are daunting. The engineering are simply spectacular IMHO. I love the brick incorporated into it keeping with the older style of most of the buildings in downtown Boston. Even my little one loved seeing it. Regardless of anything else this tourist/photographer was taken by the lines and the beauty of the building. I will say it seemed to be part of a ritzy area, but i have no clue what is here other than some nice restaurants and potentially a nice bar. It also appeared that weddings may be held dockside behind the portal at the secondary mini dome.

Not a very fun walk, as it’s generally crowded and you have to go around this bizarre maze or walkways and public areas, but hey, at least you get to SEE the water! I don’t like this part of town because it’s like an afterthought for the common people: «OH my goodness — all of us rich bastards took up ALL the real estate along the coast! My word! Let us give something to the people — a cruddy walk-way and call it the Rowes Wharf!!!» Yah I know it’s not quite that — the area actually has some history but you’ll be damned to find it amongst the rich-people apartments and hotel outdoor seating.
