Great healthy food. Delicious everything. The avocado smash toast is seriously addictive.

Listen to the reviewers! Get the charge AND the avocado toast. A bit expensive but addictive. If you’re bored and need a pick me up this is the place to come to.

Besides Jugos, this is my favourite place for healthy, vegan food. Pressed is a very small café, with only a limited bar area for seating. There’s usually a space to sit; but, if you come during peak hours on the weekends, you may have to order to go. Of all the avocado toast in Boston, Pressed is probably my favourite. 7-grain Iggy’s bread is toasted until lightly crunchy, then smeared with their proprietary avocado smash, sprinkled with pumpkin seeds, and drizzled with pumpkinseed oil — which is what takes their avocado toast to the next level. The sprinkle of paprika is the cherry on top of an excellent avo toast. Pressed also recently introduced the curry chickpea toast, which is delicious but not as addictive as the avo. The greatest difficulty here is choosing between the yummy, dessert-like AB&J Tartine(almond butter, chocolate hazelnut spread, strawberry jam, topped with sliced fruits) and the Avocado Smash Toast. I also love their superfood shakes. My favourites in order: Charge, Purify, Defend. If you ever need coffee with some nutritional boost, order the Charge — it’s SOGOOD. The Purify is great for whenever you’ve had a day/night of overindulgence and need something to cleanse your system. As for the non-made-to-order foods, I wasn’t impressed with portobello, cashew ricotta, apple-onion jam on baguette. The filling was fine, but the onion baguette was soft and slightly mushy from sitting too long in the refrigerated section. I recommend you stick to their made-to-order foods. If you’re truly in a rush and need to grab from their refrigerated foods, get the soba, superfood sushi, or coconut granola. Overall a little pricey, but it’s in Beacon Hill and totally worth the price.

What it is about juice that is so appealing? I don’t know! It’s expensive and certainly doesn’t do anything to curb hunger, and yet, here I am, totally addicted. I think it holds the same sort of appeal as soup for me… zero chewing, 100% delicious flavor. The design of this teeny tiny space is adorable, and I like their«scientific» menu names. Both times I’ve gone, the person working was super helpful about which juice she recommended for my current malady(1. exhausted and 2. somewhat hungover). Do I totally believe that different juices were going to make a difference? Nah. But it’s nice that someone helped me make a choice. I really wish they had samples of all of their products. They only had one sample(Zinc or Manganese, I forget which one). When I’m about to drop $ 10 on a beverage, I’d feel better knowing I was going to like what I bought. Both times I’ve been pretty happy. I had the Manganese and the Magnesium. It’s good, not earth shattering. It would be nice if there were some more citrus-forward options. I’m a sucker for their little glass bottles(so cute). I’m surprised the refund is only 50 cents though. My only other metric for glass bottle refunds is Crescent Milk, which gives you $ 2 back. It’s heavy and bulky for just 50 cents off, so I doubt many people do it. Overall: yeahhhhh go there and indulge in feeling Totally Basic as you wander through the adorable neighborhood drinking your $ 10 juice.

Clutch experience when we were«pressed» for time. The Calm and the Charge shakes exceeded our expectations, as did the soba noodles. Staff has great appearance and focused vibe. Pricey but not bad, considering quality of ingredients and location.

According to my friend, avid acai bowl eater hahaa, Pressed acai berry bowl is better than other ones around here. We both think the dollop of almond butter adds the essence to this bowl. My friend also commented that she enjoys the homemade granola. Less sweet and more crunchy. I also had the avocado toast, little bit salty for my taste but that could be easily fixed by me ordering without salt. The pumpkin seed on the top with honey or some kind of sweet glaze makes it even more delicious. Lastly, if you have a sweet tooth like my friend, try the nutella banana one. I like the avocado one too much to appreciate the sweet one, but that toast is also very nice.

I came here a while ago and got a shake. Im pretty sure it was 30% ice and it was a little bit bland. I wouldnt come back for the shakes again. I rather go to Jugos in Back Bay and get a large juice for the same price and twice its size.

I tried their smashed avocado on toast and defend superfood shake. The toast was really amazing — something to be tried at least once. There’s an Asian taste to it because of the soy sauce included in the mixture. I love the nuts on top too. The defend superfood shake was bad. Don’t get it — I don’t think the ingredients mesh well together. I wanted to throw it out but couldn’t because it was too expensive. Same with the toast — as much as I enjoyed it, I don’t think I can afford to eat here regularly… Around $ 20 for both toast and shake.

PRESSED! Manganese! Avocado smash! ELT! Paletas, paletas and more paletas! Ever since the cold wintery day that I walked in to check it out, I have been a fan! With the warmer weather these days, I find any possible opportunity to get in to PRESSED to try a new flavor of paleta. My favorite has been blueberry rose, spa, spicy grapefruit, ginger orange… well, who am I kidding I haven’t had a paleta that I did not like. If I were to be a bit critical, I wish the earl grey paleta had more of the bergamot flavor. To Dave & Ashley, thanks for coming to the neighborhood.

I’m not religious but I’ve just found my new place of worship! It’s super hero juice people. You’ll feel a sense of vitality, your taste buds and organs will thank you, and you’ll just plain olé feel refreshed! The food will give you an extra spring in your step and clean fuel to tackle any stress in your day. The Zinc has a clean, smooth, delicious taste — well balanced and not terribly tart. The Selenium is a beautiful sangria color and the flavors really shine, especially the beet and fennel — loved the earthy taste of it. Juices are cold pressed the night before — those juices you consume will still be chock full of awesome vitamins and minerals. The well blended Immunity shake offered a medley of fun flavors that complemented each other well — the ginger was an interesting and welcome addition to the pineapple and coconut flavor. I’d drop $ 10 again any day for this 12 oz shake of deliciousness! I definitely can’t wait to try the Purify and Focus smoothies! Juices and smoothies are expensive but no more costly than a cocktail at the bar. If anything, I’d say it’s an investment for your taste buds and your body — save yourself a trip to the doc and just take good care of yourself with a juice as a snack or healthy shake(this totally shouldn’t replace your daily veggie intake but is a great complement to your health!). The Superfood Sushi is filling and the black rice is full of antioxidants so try this if you need to fuel up on healthy carbs. The portobello sandwich with cashew ricotta and apple-onion jam sets the standard for the kinds of spreads that should go into sandwiches period. Yum! My fave dish is the sweet chile and mango buckwheat soba — good portions and ingredient proportioning with the right amount of acidity from the peppers balanced with a bit of sweet from the spicy coconut crunch and chile mango dressing. I could eat this everyday and never tire of it. Every single dish left me feeling satisfied and clean. Complement your meal with a juice or shake and you’ll be motivated to run a marathon! The space itself is happy & welcoming, warm, and intimate. A few seats at the bar and a nice view onto Charles Street. Staff are always so happy — they must be juicing, too.

Biked here on a sunny Wednesday and tried one of their popsicles. There was a very nice selection of fruity popsicles with interesting flavor combinations. After debating between Matcha Blueberry and Mango Pineapple Basil, I opted for the latter. I don’t know about you, but when I eat a fruit popsicle, I expect a lot of flavor and a rather smooth texture. This popsicle, however, was very bland(hardly sweet) and the texture was very crumbly. I think the reason it was so crumbly was because they drained some of the juice from the popsicle, which resulted in a popsicle that was just frozen pineapple pulp. Would definitely not come back for a popsicle.

I’ve been on the hunt for the best avocado toast in Boston and after reading several stellar reviews about the version from Pressed, I had to come in. This is a really tiny spot. The line gets kinda backed up but you can at least read one of the paper menus while you wait. Once you order, you get kinda shoved in the extra space, or, if there’s room at one of the seats you can sit there and look out onto Charles St. The seating is super awkward though. I love the bar/chairs but they’re really close together. Be prepared to pretty much join the other parties there. Not a big deal, just sayin’. The only juice I’ve had is the Zinc(sweet apple, green apple, cucumber, lime, mint, kale, wheatgrass). It was okay, but I wish it had a bit more zing to it. More lime or mint. It seemed heavy on the cucumber and kale which wouldn’t give it a ton of flavor. That said, I’ll be sure to try a different blend next time. BUTTHETOAST. Hands down the best I’ve had around here. The seven grain bread is moneyyyyy and the perfectly ripe toast is exactly what is needed to balance out the crunchy texture. Who knows what Maldon salt is, but I’m a fan. Pumpkinseed oil is a new thing to me but hey, it was great. They give you two big slices and while I kept telling myself I’d eat one and save the other for later, I couldn’t. It was just that good. GOGETTHETOAST!

The ZINC, y’all. Cucumber, apple, lime, mint, kale and wheatgrass, presumably set to load your temple with copious amounts of Zn and other riboflavo-antiradicaliciousness. I’m a licensed nutritionist*, so believe my buzz word. Health benefits of cold pressed juices aside, this pint of purity set my wallet back ten bones and my body forward a bushel of raw goodness. Clean tasting, balanced, and served in a glass bottle that nets 50¢ off your next order when you return it — all kinds of good juju! I also dabbled in the cold buckwheat soda noodles with a sweet chile-mango dressing($ 9). The light, zingy salad gets tossed with basil, cilantro, shelled edamame, chunks of red pepper, and a «spicy coconut crunch» that brought a lovely texture to the mix. A bit petite for whole food option; I’d have loved to have a bit more to bite at that price point. Still, it was delicious. Gourmet paletas y’all. I didn’t partake this time, but you better believe I’ll be back for the avocado tangerine, and the vanilla cardamom plum. These ain’t your mama’s popsicles. Unless they are, in which case, your mom rules. Seating is moderate and social, with views of Charles Street atop swivel stool tops. Everything is plated to go, though, so should your oh-so-busy schedule require it, you can be in and out in under five minutes. * Nutritionist = passenger vehicle driver in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Being a California native, fresh fruits and veggies are a necessity for me. It also makes me very picky about my produce. PRESSED made me nostalgic for my true home. Feeling dehydrated yesterday morning, I was craving a freshly squeezed juice. So I venture into the small yet popular little shop and instantly greeted by a kind gentleman who explained the menu to me. I got the Pepita Avocado Smash with a Focus shake. I also ordered a Potassium juice for later consumption. My absolute love of fresh avocados made this dish a treasure. It was so simple yet very satisfying with combination of fresh avocado with a little oil and the crisp, toasted pepita seeds. And that wheat toast was so hearty and filling, I could only eat one of the two slices! And the Focus shake had a nice ratio of spinach to the sweet mango and orange, I felt very refreshed and happy after this meal. I had the Potassium juice as a midday snack later in the day and it kept in my messenger bag for the next 4 hours quite well without refrigeration. No residual pulp, no overwhelming flavor of carrot or orange, it was a happy equilibrium. This experience led me to do the rare thing for me: come back the very next day and try something new. This time I ordered a Charge shake, which the next 4 ladies behind me ordered as well, so quite the popular item. In addition, I also bought the Jackfruit Bahn Mi for later since I rarely get to eat the super yummy Vietnamese sandwich anymore living in the suburbs, let alone a vegetarian version. The Charge shake was tasty with just the right amount of energy without getting jittery, super easy to recreate at home I feel though. And that sandwich, my first impression was frustration as the dressing cup for the accompanying salad opened up and leaked through the plastic outer container all over the bottom of my full messenger bag. But aside that annoyance, the sandwich was very delicious, I never had jackfruit before and I kept thinking, where is this supposed accompanying citrus flavor? Little did I know that the unripe fruit has the mellow shredded pork like consistency usually in a Bahn Mi so it was a super awesome, undetectable vegetarian substitution. I definitely would get this sandwich again, but either wrap an outer covering over the box to prevent leaks or offer a separate bag. Nice to know a place like this exists in Boston now with a friendly, non-pretentious environment. PRESSED can now help get me through any fresh juice or smoothie cravings, which I have at last once or twice a month. Go support this awesome new gem!

Juicing seems to be the new fad diet and although I don’t completely buy the entire«ridding your body of toxins» idea, I DO appreciate that juicing allows people(including myself) to get greens in for the day without feeling like a rabbit. That being said, the juice I had here was not tasty & perhaps I picked the wrong one, but it just was not good. I ordered the«Magnesium» juice, which contains watermelon, cucumber, lime, ginger and pomegranate and it was. not something that I would ever pay $ 9.50 for. In addition, the website and tv at PRESSED display the same juice in a red/pinkish color, but mine was green??? Now, let me tell you the things PRESSED does well. The service is remarkable. The girl at the counter was genuinely really sweet. She knew I was new to juicing and gave me samples of some of the shakes she made and they tasted great. My friend and I stayed there and chatted for a good 2 hours(a lot to catch up on haha) and we were able to nibble on some samples of their homemade granola, as well — phenomenal, btw. The highlight? their avocado smash. Handsdown, one of the best avocado toasts I’ve ever had AND it kept me full! $ 10 worth of fullness? Probably not, but it’s definitely worth a try. The interior is a nice plus — has a vintage feel with bar seats along one wall(maybe 7 seats total). If you’re a juicing/healthy eating fanatic, you are bound to fall head over heels for this place. If not, PRESSED might be the perfect place to catch a glimpse of what juicing is all about. It might not have been the right fit for me, but I can see why so many people have fallen in love with it already.

I’m obsessed. I’m constantly on the quest for freshly made smoothies and juices in Boston, and PRESSED is doing it right. They don’t have any meat on their menu and give innovative«vegan» options for breakfast and lunch. Like everyone said below, the CHARGESHAKE is amazing. It’s essentially everything you want in a frappé, but super healthy. With raw cacao bits, almond butter, cold brewed coffee, and almond milk, this shake did not compensate taste at all for how good it is for you. The coffee was strong, and the raw cacao added a great kick to the smoothie. + AVOCADOSMASH I eat avo toast at work all the time, but this was definitely different. It comes in two thick crunchy 7-grain toasts, which is perfect for sharing. There is a spicy little kick(it’s not too spicy though!) and the roasted pepitas add another layer of flavor that made this breakfast treat soft, chewy, crunchy, and spicy all in one bite. There is only«bar» seating along the left side with 5 – 6 spots available. This is definitely a place meant to grab-and-go, but if you are with one other person make sure to snag a seat along the bar and enjoy your view of Beacon Hill. Tip: Pre-made bottled juices come in glass bottles that are sturdy and heavy. Bring back an empty glass bottle when you buy your next juice, and you get $.50 off your next juice! Also, the staff is super friendly. They genuinely want you to find something that you will love and aren’t super pushy. They want to talk to their customers and get to know them better, which is hard to come by in Boston. I will definitely come back to try everything!

This place is dangerous. I might actually become a healthy individual. I tried for the first time today after yoga class and got the calm shake. It’s better than shivasana. It’s sweet but not overwhelming. I’ve never been much of a juice fan, but I definitely will try their juices at some point given all of the positive prior reviews. I am very excited to try some of their food, but my focus today was the shakes. Their display of Popsicles, healthy Popsicles I might add, is a rainbow delight. I have to come back and try one of those for sure. Maybe it’s the fresh ingredients or maybe it’s the location in Beacon Hill, but bear in mind that this place is expensive. After-tax my shake cost $ 10.63. In the long run it may be worth it. I have a feeling after a few more tries I may upgrade my review to five stars. Let’s see.

Update: the avocado toast is THEBESTTHINGEVER! It was so delicious I devoured it in mere seconds. I could eat it every day for the rest of my life. I think what really amplified the flavor was the lime juice, which is such a simple ingredient so often paired with avocado, but it really made all the difference. I also got the opportunity to try the jackfruit banh mi — you really don’t notice the absence of meat. The fruit has an interesting texture and mild flavor, very intriguing. The pesto salad dressing served with the side of greens was really tasty! Overall, I enjoyed the sandwich, but probably won’t get it again. Or at least not until I’ve tried the other dishes. That avocado toast though…
