While this place has beautiful bras and the people there do know how to fit them, the service is atrocious. I waited 15 minutes between trying on bras for the sales person to come back in… as she was waiting on other people. Why make an appointment if they can’t accommodate you. ALso, I had to order a bra as it was not in stock. I was told it would come to me in 3 – 5 business days. It is now 13 days and when I called, I can only talk to the sales person who helped me(who of course was NOT in) I asked to speak to a manager. and she said I had to talk to the original sales person. THATISCRAZY! I already paid…

I am a total evangelist about foundation garments. Everyone with boobs deserves a really REALLY good bra. You will 1) look like you’ve lost 10lbs, 2) stand taller, 3) feel AMAZING. Unfortunately, it is hard to find a really good bra. Lucky for us Boston locals, we have R&P(formerly Intimacy and the fact that the Intimacy is now gone is a joke that just wrote itself). The staff here have the perfect mix of bra competency and body zen. I’ve been fitted by 3 different women over the years(all of whom still work there) and they’re all great at finding the right shape/size bra and do not make me feel at all self conscious during measuring/fitting. The bras themselves are really expensive and you can often find similar styles in outdated colors online. But I promise if you go and get fitted you will want to buy a new bra IMMEDIATELY and then set fire to the piece of crap wire you’ve been torturing your chest with. But don’t set fire to anything because R&P also accepts bra donations to the charity Free the Girls. Oh! And they can arrange bra alterations so if you lose/gain weight and need to change the band on your bra you can have that done for a nominal fee. Basically this place is the tits. Heh.

I’ve seen movies scenes about lingerie shops but I didn’t think it was real. The service was amazing and the reason I’d shop here again. I worked with Amanda after wandering in from Barneys. I was very comfortable with her and she has converted me to the virtues of good lingerie. The bins are overwhelming. I told her what I like and she pulled a bunch of bra tops. She showed me how to fit, and she’s right, as my new bras are incredibly comfortable. I would’ve never chosen the sizes correctly. They are whacky and make no sense at all. There is no way on earth I’m a D, but whatever fits regardless what it’s called. They had some of the most beautiful bras I’ve seen. I bought my first pair of full briefs. Only negatives are that 1) the brands are all related, more variety would be great 2) I would like to see more play pieces but I appreciate beautiful everyday wear 3) the prices are unGodly. But I loved the experience so much, I parted with the money, and wish I lived in Boston to go more often. Thanks Amanda!
