It’s quick, but the quality is just poor. I got a salad. The lettuce was very wilted. They put way to much cheese on it, which I was able to pick off. The ham. bacon they added was pure fat; there was no actual meat on it. The price is the same as everywhere else downtown, but the quality is just not up to par!

Not impressed. The new location in the Yawkey Center at Dana-Farber is not great. The line is slow and the wrap I got was not great. It was very basic — just chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomato and guac — for over $ 7. The bacon was not crispy, as described. It was cold and precut into small pieces. The chicken was small cubes and was not plentiful and the tomatoes were hardly red. I won’t be back.

At the STB looking for a quick, inexpensive, moderately healthy and satisfying lunch. Stumbled on Sandella’s. Quick, check. Inexpensive, check. Moderately healthy, moderately. Satisfying… Most definitely with my choice of the provolone and veggie flatbread sandwich! It had a perfect balance of cheese to veggie ratio and the chipotle dressing was delish. Haven’t tried anything else but would have the veggie sandwich again!

Sandella’s: Quick, Convenient, Cheap and Fresh. I’ve worked a stone’s throw from the Sandella’s location for the past 3 months now. It has proven time and again to be a solid reliable lunch option. Time: For lunch, speed is key! At Sandella’s there is always a consistent line of 3 – 5 people in front of you, but yet your max wait tends to be 1 – 2 min. They have a young attentive staff that can expedite the food to you accurately and in mere moments. Convenience: The location is prime, right in a food court with many other establishments and so close to local colleges and workplaces. You can take your break right in the food court, walk 2 min to the common or just take your meal right back to your desk where you slave away. The staff is always friendly and acknowledges your existence which seems to be hard to do at other local lunch shops. Price: For Boston, you can’t beat the quality of their products at this price point! 6 – 8 bucks for tasty filling meals! Quality/Quantity: No matter if you get a wrap, rice bowl or salad they are filling and tasty. You can choose from one of the pre-styled options or make your own. The veggies are clearly fresh and the rice is plentiful. They have a unique blend of sauces that kick their meals over the top!(I have yet to try their signature Flatbreads or Panini’s due to the fact that I’m a «lactard» but from coworkers opinions they are stellar) Favs: Pacific Chicken Warp and either the Teriyaki Bowl or Avocado Chicken Bowl Critique: The one thing that Sandella’s needs to work on are the ratio of veggies/chicken to rice in the rice bowls. I have always left a meal full but they could increase the veggies to kick some more color and extra flavor into the dish! All said and done this is one of the best affordable lunch staples in the Theater District. Don’t forget to get the loyalty punch card. Ends up saving you about 8 bucks after 9 meals!

Gross. I got a chicken and avacado rice bowl and it was disgusting. No flavor, stale pita… just no. Waste of money. I’ll never eat here again.

Fast, moderately priced, delicious lunches. I recommend the Fajita Bowl or salads, around $ 6 – 8. Located in the Transportation building.

I won some coupons for free food here. I go to school across the street and decided to give it a try for lunch. The hummus wrap was fabulous. I am craving it right now and plan to go back. The wraps are huge and full of veggies and they have no problem specializing it for you. They did it for me. It also doesn’t take nearly as long as the other places in the plaza. For instance in the time it takes one person to get DeAngelos it takes 5 to get a Sandellas AND its healthy. Great healthy alternative that is better and fresher than most options as well as cost friendly.

Delicious, delicious, SALADS! Can’t speak to any other menu items, but the SALADS here are worth TRAVELING for, or making an extra«T» stop to get one. Fresh ingredients, crisp/fesh mixed greens, lots of variety in terms of what you’d like on your salad. Outstanding! Friendly guys behind the counter.

This place is not worth visiting. Quality and quantity are lower than they seem to advertise and I don’t have 15 min. to wait for a simple flatbread order. The people behind the counter have no idea what they’re doing and they don’t seem to know how to keep proper hygiene around the food. You’re better off going elsewhere for lunch.

Delicious grilled paninis, salads and pizzas. You can’t beat the breakfast deal either, you get a grilled breakfast panini/wrap(huge too) with hash browns and a coffee for $ 4.99 i think? everything i’ve tried here is great, fast and well priced. The ingredients are fresh and tasty and nice to have a healthy option in the area that’s convenient.

I’ve tried three of the flatbreads and one panini. But the one I keep coming back to is the pesto chicken grilled flatbread. It’s light, delicious and reasonably priced. I think it’s a healthier lunch choice than pizza. I am tempted to give Sandella’s 5 stars, but I wasn’t that impressed with their other selections, especially the panini. However the pesto chicken grilled flatbread is a 5-star winner, in my opinion. This is a good place for a quick lunch. You just order at the counter, wait 5 minutes and then dine in the food court of City Place. I recommend their diet green tea or diet lemon tea as well.

I was in the transportation building and wanted to try something simple, different and cheap. Why not a panini? I tried the chicken delicato and it was very good. This place only has an ordering counter like the other establishments in the food court, no seating inside. My sandwich was very hot, fresh made and reasonably priced. I may try some of the other items soon. If nothing else, it is different from D’Angelo’s and Subway. It has an interesting menu of wraps, rice bowls and flatbreads, of course. I have never tried flatbread sandwich; so that will be next.

They have a serious menu of flatbeads, Quesadillas, wraps, Paninis and rice bowls! Now that is what I call the perfect place for lunch(or snacks). If Sandella’s could only open up close to my work… The couple of paninis that we had were really good(I’ve forgotten what they were, but it involved chicken, and tomatoes and good cheese) I would have to check out the locations in L.A. It doesn’t seem to have anything on the menu that I wouldn’t eat. As a matter of fact, I wanted to sample everything!

I have gone to Sandella’s twice now. The first time was just ok so I decided to give it another shot and went for lunch. I was very disappointed and didn’t finish my lunch. The first time I went I had the fajita quesadilla. It was just ok. It was a little spicy from the fajita mix but it really isn’t anything I would go back for. Honestly it was just okay. I went for my second time today and got the special chicken caesar wrap. I don’t think a chicken caesar wrap should be that difficult but it was really bad. They didn’t wrap it well so if I put it down for a moment it completely unwrapped. They also put in onions and tomatoes which don’t go in a chicken caesar wrap. Also the chicken was pretty cold which kind of ruined the wrap. Overall it is not a place I would go to again unless I had to.

for what you pay for, it tastes ok. however, i need to eat more. after takin a hiatus from sandella’s, i came back lookin fer changes to the menu. got the cheddar broccoli chicken rice bowl. was not happy at all, considerin it felt as if all the ingredients were cut right from the package. the bowl itself was the same as if it were in a wrap. a pass is prolly recommended, seein that osaka express across from sandella’s gives more food at less price

Neither tasty nor healthy, Sandella’s has little to recommend it. My ham, spinach and swiss«panini» was greasy and measly(seriously, like one slice of ham) and lacking the promised«mango habanero salsa.» Also, it wasn’t really a panini — kind of like a sad, deflated burrito. I will not be back.

«Founded in 1994 in West Redding Connecticut, Sandella’s Flatbread is an upscale, fast casual Café. Sandella’s Flatbread incorporates the hottest trends in the fast casual segment, offering consumers fresh, hot and healthy menu items. It’s all about the taste and the experience — premium products, in a warm and upscale setting!» «Sandella’s has over 100 restaurant locations open across the United States and many more in development. Find the fresh taste of Sandella’s at a store near you!» Looks like this chain has made their way into Boston with the first store I’ve ever seen. Their plastic draped store in the Transportation Building food court(next to California Pizza Kitchen) looks about ready to open. I guess there’s been some kind of delay, because on their website they announced that the opening would be on Sept 1st( ). I got invited to join a friend for a free sample today, which I gladly accepted. We were served our selections pretty quickly with our choice of chips(ie. BBQ, original Sunchip). I got a glimpse of the food prep — enough to realize that 1) wraps, grilled flatbreads, and paninis(and probably the quesadillas as well) all start with the same flat bread base(which is thicker than a flour tortilla but less chewy than pizza crust) and 2) that they spritzed the panini with Pam before running it through some kind of oven where it got some grill marks, but didn’t really get pressed. Both the Tuscan Chicken Panini(Grilled chicken, mozzarella cheese, red onions, sundried tomatoes, fresh basil and creamy pesto sauce) and the Chicken Delicato Panini(Grilled chicken, mozzarella cheese, roasted red peppers and a creamy pesto sauce) had good flavor and moist enough chicken chunks, but the toasted flatbread was a little tough to chew where the carb layers overlapped. The Delicato was a juicier product(perhaps because of the roasted red peppers) and the portion(panini plus chips) was fine for me as a light/not too heavy lunch, but left my DC(a fella) still a little hungry for more. While Sandella’s seems to be aiming for the healthy food market(this opinion was formed from reading their website ), the proximity of their neighbor Herrera’s(sp?) worries me, with their heartier portions in a similarly wrapped form.
