Great selection. Wonderful sales people. Everyone is super friendly, not pushy. They listen and learn, always suggest great things to try on. One of the best shops in the hood!

I feel cheated after purchasing a sweater earlier today. There was a Margiela cardigan on sale that was just lovely. Had a conversation with the clerk about it before I purchased it. At no point did she mention that the reason it was on sale is that it had a massive tear in the back along the hem line (see photo). Though she did rather pointedly say that sale items are final sale… The tag should have mentioned the defect. She should have mentioned the defect. Not a good experience.

Ice-​cream T-​shirts? Strawberry panties? With a name like ‘Scoop’, that’s where my mind was when I was told about one of the newest go-​to clothing retailers on Newbury Street.
When I walked in though, I thought to myself, «Now THIS is the kind of ice-​cream I DO like! BODY ice-​cream!»
Yes, yes, being an LA transplant in Boston, I gave up on fashion and sold my soul to the Red-Sox-everywhere+denim+shirt+shitty-shoes that forever traverse the Bahston Matrix.
But Scoop? Scoop is that hot blonde babe in a sea of gray that not only catches your eye, but want to touch and either be her or be with her… chocolate topping optional.
The store carries all the high-​end trendy awesome sauce that is NY and LA. Boston really needed a change of tune, and it all starts with Scoop.
Service is wonder-​great. Each associate (and they’re all gorgeous!) has his/​her own unique take on looks and taste, which come in extremely handy when you’re trying to figure out what to wear for a specific person, mood, or occasion.
Make sure you look for Bonnie, the head honcho manager, who, for those eligible bachelors that have no mother or clingy issues, happens to be one of Boston’s most eligible bachelorettes (as rated by one of our local magazines… true story). She knows exactly what you need within 30 seconds.
So Boston… you have a decision to make:
Want to look good? Don’t come here.
Want to look GREAT? There is only Scoop.

Boston needed this. Trust me.
Although they don’t carry Helmut Lang and some other over saturated brands in the market here in Boston, what they do carry is spectacular.

— Habitual denim (Snag a pair of the waxed while you can!)
— IRO (The women’s jackets range in price, but every season is something special. I own the red tweed Agnette from last season!)
— Equipment Femme (This is my weakness. My goal in life seems to be owning every color and pattern possible.)
— FREE CITY! (Only place in Boston I know of that sells Free City sweats! Yes, they’re pricey sweats but oh so comfortable and they smell heavenly! Yes, smell heavenly)
Did I mention. The mens’ selection downstairs is also PHENOMENAL?!
— Ian Velardi (Upcoming men’s designer, way to go SCOOP for snagging it!)
— Margiela (You all know of this brand. if not only because Kanye’s line about his jacket.)
— IRO (Recently started getting IRO for men in the store! The mint leather jacket?! Gimme gimme gimme!)
— Habitual denim (YES! This is their first season doing men’s denim and they’ve hit it out of the park, with their fit and washes!)
