The fact that you can order ahead of time at any Starbucks is a great thing! Especially at this location which is very busy in the morning. You can’t make it in the door sometimes. To be able to walk in, around the line, and pick up you’re order. Usually within 5 mins of ordering.

I never thought I would be writing a review for Starbucks, but these people deserve it. I come in some mornings on my walk to work and it’s always exactly what you want for a morning coffee run. Barely a line, friendly(but not overly so) staff, fast service, and good music. These people seem to really like working with each other and for pre-8am, they always seem to be having a great time(sometimes they dance!). Morning coffee experiences can make or break your day sometimes, and they always make mine! keep up the good work :)

I went this morning Thursday August 13, 2015 to buy some coffee. Whole bean coffee, and let me say this, I love Starbucks coffee(actually I am a GOLD member… whatever the fuck that means) so I was ready to buy 2 pounds of coffee(they’ll ground it for me) and a gift card(worth $ 20.00) for a friend, but I also had at home 2 pounds…2 pounds!!! Of whole bean coffee a dear friend gave me, but I don’t have a grounder(don’t need one), and I asked the cashier if they will ground it for me as a favor. Well, first they didn’t even know if they could do it, then they say«sure, no problem». Then, this unpleasant and very attitude«lady»(blond) came out and said with her grasp and miserable voice, «we can’t ground coffee that is not Starbucks. It’s against the rule». Really? Against the rule? I say, «Don’t worry, I’m not going to say anything to Howard Schultz», and then, they all say no(like a choir), we can’t. I said, «Ok I won’t buy anything and cancel the transaction, please.» The cashier wasn’t happy about it. Then, I went across the street to the Dunkin Donuts, and guess what? THEYDIDITFORME!!! They did provide a good customer service… and solved one time favor/need. A favor! To your customer! Your dear customer that you claim you care about it, with«talk about race» and fair pay to the people in Central America, Africa and South East Asia. I went back and I said to them, «I still believe Starbucks coffee is very good, but the customer service and attitude in this location… sucks!!!» I will never go to the Starbucks on West Broadway in Southie.

Standard Starbucks. Fast service. Helpful staff. Always clean inside because I don’t think many people stay to eat/drink for long at this location.

One of the only places you can sit and have coffee. Starbucks is a chain and it’s a typical Starbucks, so you know what to expect if you have been to a Starbucks. Nice staff, plenty of outlets to charge phones/laptops. It’s suitable to do work. The bus stop is just outside, so you can chill in here and catch the bus in to the city or in to Southie. It’s kind of busy on some days and hard to find a seat sometimes. On cold days, they get a crowd who stays inside to wait for the bus, but I can’t blame them.

I’m excited to see Starbucks move in to Southie! There are still plenty of mom and pops around, but it’s great to have the convenience right at the T. The staff here is very nice, especially considering all the extra hassle they get from Southie«residents,»(that small minority of disgruntled people who claim to speak for the entire neighborhood). I agree that a larger Starbucks with more seating would be welcome. Maybe on the East Side closer to the bay? C’mon Southie, if we love Southie so much, why is there no place for us all to hang out together?

Welcome to the first Starbucks in Southie proper. I understand people trying to cling to what the neighborhood once was. Trying to keep things mom-and-pop. But not all change is bad. Not too long ago there weren’t many coffee options if you were catching the T at Broadway. The now-gone convenience store across the street served up what they called«coffee» but– let’s be serious– no one wants any of that. Now we have a new Dunkin’ Donuts across the street and up the way a bit plus this shiny new Starbucks. And for the most part, it works. If you’ve been to a Starbucks, you generally know what to expect. The drinks here are the same as what you’re used to at any other Starbucks. They have the normal limited hot food options here too if you’re looking for a quick bite with your coffee. Wifi is available and they have a few seats here if you want to plop down with a laptop. The layout here is a bit strange. Things seem cramped, no matter where you stand. There isn’t a good place to wait for your drink and once you have it, trying to get to the milk/sugar is a pain, especially if you have a bag on you. Other than that, this place seems closed more often than it actually is. Stopped in here the other day at about 7pm and they already had the chairs up. I inquired and they stated they’re open until 10pm, they just needed to mop the floors. Odd, but okay, whatever… Overall, if you’re looking for Starbucks, you’re not going to be disappointed. This place could be better, but you’re going to get what you’re looking for.

Worst Starbucks I have ever been to. It is also the least busy, probably because the service is terrible. I went there and got a drink. They must have made drinks for at least 3 people before they made mine; all of those 3 people ordered after me. When I brought this to their attention, they did nothing except give me attitude. My drink was not even near full and it also was full of ice, when I asked for light ice. I have never complained about a Starbucks before but this was just crazy. I will not go back to this location ever again.
