This was my go-to spot for almost a year but for months, it’s now been the worst Starbucks I’ve ever been to in terms of length of wait. Literally terrible. The line never moves, you have to order mobile-y a lifetime before you expect to want your drink, etc. Never again!

Music is really LOUD and very slow service. AC was not working in the back. I really wonder if Starbucks check quality of service in every Starbucks store…

Ordered a white mocha frap and the barista did not put espresso in it. She claimed that it does not come with espresso for frap… Seriously? I have ordered it many times! The attitude sucks!

I was shocked when I saw the winter street location closed down within matters of weeks of my return, I had to walk up to this old stomping ground to get my daily kick of caramel macchiato double shot of expresso, I have to say when I got there I was discouraged it was very crowded but the line was fast and this location made my macchiato PERFECTLY! I had to sit down to enjoy, Amazing operation for such a small constant crowd on the go.

There are some great baristas in the afternoon, but a few earlier in the day have attitude like nowhere else. Eyes were rolled that I wanted to use a reward. Sighs are had asking for a plate if available. Baristas are rude to each other. It’s also not a great place to work and study unless you’re okay with the WiFi being down majority of the time you’re there(and no one cares enough to reset it). Go down the road closer to the Harbor and Government Center for a better Starbucks experience regularly.

My least favorite Starbucks from the Northshore to the Southshore. As well as even the Orlando, FL area. 1. I’ve had a terrible experience awhile ago with a very rude and disrespectful employee. But I’ve gotten over it. 2. Today and many times before. I don’t know how many times I have to say my name, TraMMi and spell it out, exaggerating the M in my name but they still have no effort in trying to spell it right. If it was busy and loud it’s understandable but when it’s slow and quiet I don’t understand why. Not one time have they spelled my name right at this location, every other location had no problem spelling it right nor had they never not tried correcting themselves either. I really do love walking around with a Starbucks cup in my hand displaying my name as Tranni(sarcasm).

Clean place with clean restrooms. Great place to grab a coffee before continuing on the Freedom Trail. I’m sure this is exactly how our founding fathers imagined we’d visit historic spots.

Nice little pit stop during the freedom trial walk. Has all the usual starbucks flavour. The snowman cookie was stale though.

It’s been a few years since I posted the above review. things were perfect back then. Gradually they have gone a little downhill. but it’s still a typical Starbucks. The tall skinny young man with the glasses that lived on Beacon Hill(Eddie) is no longer there. He had the place running the SMOOTHEST of all Downtown Starbucks(I go to all of them… literally). This is a very busy Starbucks and none of the original employees from my original review are still there. Hopefully they have moved on to something bigger and better. The employees there now are constantly changing. Due to the strength of their Bold brew coffee, I have to eat something with it or it will go right through me. When I order the pastry, sometimes I get it directly from the cashier. Sometimes the cashier puts my name on a bag and has someone behind him/her get it when they have a chance, and I have to wait for it where people pick up their espresso-based drinks. This procedure just takes too long. In the time it takes to write what treat I want and my name on a bag, the cashier can just take it out of the pastry case themselves and hand it to me. During«peak» times, the line to order goes literally to the back of the store where the bathroom is. Sometimes I wait, Sometimes I’m not in the mood(to wait) and walk down to Ogawa. Because of Ogawa’s prices, there is no line there, but it’s much more convenient than waiting. There is a Latina woman there who has seen me order a Venti Bold for years, and when It’s my turn at the register, she insists on giving me a Medium Pike. Because she’s a nice lady, I take it and walk away. I don’t want to be in there one minute longer than I have to. Also… a Word to the Wise… During Summer Vacation, this location has the MOST Tourists, who don’t know what they want, and the line just drags on longer.

I’ve never been so unsatisfied at a Starbucks. I walked in and immediately noticed the music was too loud. My mother ordered first and never received her order. I ordered a mocha and classic oatmeal. The oatmeal was way too watery and I wasn’t given my brown sugar, fruit, and nuts. I had to ask and the woman was thoroughly confused. My mocha was a bit bland as well. The music seemed to get louder as time went on. My mom asked about her beverage again and we were charged but ended up walking. I would recommend walking an extra 2 blocks to the next Starbucks.

Typical and utterly predictable. Though the«barista» was a mite annoyed when I asked for a to-stay cup instead of paper. And the place was a bit cold.

The neighborhood is great, very beautiful view of the old city hall. I have been in hundreds of starbucks to get work done and this starbucks by far has the WORST staff. The girl at the register is pleasant and make good drinks, but the moment the workers step out from behind the register to the floor, they are rude and storm around barking orders at their customers. Only half the outlets work, and workers definitely don’t enjoy their jobs. You can tell. One older gentleman worker was slamming chairs upside down on top of tables and yelling at guests, «you’re feet are in my way, you have to move them.» The worker was coming through the shop with a garbage dumpster. There are so many things wrong with the workers’ interactions with guests here. Maybe I’ll try coming here in the morning to see if the energy is any better.

This Starbucks sucks. The staff were racist towards me and none of the outlets worked. The tables were not level and the floor was dirtier than the bottom of a New Jersey hot tub.

This Starbucks is really great! I work right near here and I come here every morning. Everyone working here is very friendly and welcoming. They all know what I order and know my name. Sometimes when it gets really busy, they get behind with the drinks but that’s any coffee shop. This place is very clean and they take great care of it.

The best Starbucks in the Beacon/Boston Common area. Friendly and courteous staff. Quick service especially during work hours. They are smart enough to force lines appropriately and multitask. By far a well managed store.

The employees at this Starbucks, hands down, converted me to a Starbucks snob for life. I used to switch between all different coffee places, until I came across the people that work here. I love starbucks coffee but what I really love is their service and its the best at this location on school street. Everytime I walk in, everyone seems happy to see me, seriously. If they are faking it, they are damn good and it makes my morning a lot better. keep it up! They are quick with asking for your order, and very helpful if you are confused about a new coffee etc. They remember your order if your a regular. One time I was waiting for my coffee on the clover(nomnom) and I had a great convo with the young man making it, all about the coffees we liked and disliked and why. I felt completely educated on coffee after 5 minutes talking to him. I’m a little obsessed with this place, I think they all deserve raises for putting a smile on my face every morning(because that is not easy to do!).
