Horrible service! Kind of dirty! $ 10 for a veggie foot-long(with only tomatoes, spinach and avocado). Definitely not going back. There are a lot better options within steps!

As Subways go, the quality at this location is about average. However, the layout here is a mess. If there is any sort of line, the customers have to double back in a corner that is barely wide enough for one person. This also results in a lot of orders being yelled across each other and has created confusion. Early on, this resulted in at least one person I know getting someone else’s sandwich(a Vegigie Delight, the horror!), although it does seem like some of those kinks have been worked out. Nonetheless, the physical layout leaves much to be desired, and it isn’t like the food does much to make up for it.

The reviews are spot on. How can a subway be out of bread so early in the day? Do they only get their shipments in AFTERLUNCH? Seriously? Keep walking, I say.

Subway is great if you want a lettuce and olive sandwich. Want more than one slice of meat? That’ll be extra. I can’t believe anyone eats here. I’m a little more than ashamed that so many people are brought in by a catchy«five dollar footlong» song. This one is even worse being in downtown Boston with so many locally-owned alternatives nearby.

This Subway has a horrible layout. You walk in and you go into a line that wraps around the counter and there’s really no space. At all. You’re packed like cattle, and not in a cozy Temple Grandin hug machine sort of way. The service is quick but it’s also pretty abrasive. They shout at you to get closer to the other people who have already ordered, and I’ve had my sandwich messed up(I ordered a $ 5 sub, and got a $ 6.50 one, with no apology and a «you ordered this one».) The ingredients seem fresh, and while my sandwich had both jalapenos and banana peppers, it wasn’t at all spicy. How does that work? I normally love Subway, but when it comes to this location, the warm fuzzy doesn’t occur at all. I’d suggest avoiding and get a sub, wrap, burrito, falafel at any of the other options in the downtown crossing area.
