Thanks Store 24 for your convenience. Would be 5 stars just for that, but –3 stars for allowing homeless people to loiter 24⁄7 right outside your door. This makes hassling part of the Store 24 experience upon entering and exiting.

Store 24 — I have such a love/hate thing with you. You are convenient for sure… but then I wind up paying for it. However, in a city that is effing cold 6+ months of the year, you are my savior when I need, need, need to pick up a Vitamin Water and some cigarettes. Or maybe some cat litter. And you have a Blockbuster video kiosk, which only encourages some of my lazier tendencies. All in all, I don’t know how I would make it without you… xoxo

Dear Store 24, Thank you for being located directly underneath me while I visit my friend. Because of you, procuring cigarettes, Diet Pepsis, and/or trashy magazines in the freezing cold at odd hours dressed only in my pajamas is made totally plausible. One star taken away for refusing my Amex. I take it everywhere, what’s the big deal? Anyways, cheers darlings! Sincerely, A visiting Austinite.

I only go here because it’s really close to work and it’s a good option for grabbing something really god awful for a snack or a fizzy water, at whatever time of day. The down side to this location is these reasons: the homeless people who constantly are harassing people outside for change, the scratch tickets never seem to be winners, and the service is a little bit slow. They do have a decent selection of sandwiches for days when you can’t pull it together and go somewhere real for lunch, and the chip selection and trash tabloid options are a-OK.
